>bending the PCB
Don't hamfist it like a retard and don't ziptie it to the PCB. You can use multiple zipties and sneak one under the radiator.
>>107585068
They do, but you pay a ridiculous premium for a sub-par product where you could achieve a better result for less. Why having standard off-the-shelf 80/120mm fans on GPU's isn't standard? Dunno, maybe dumbass manufactuers have too much of a boner for "muh aesthetics" so they need custom designed fans and shrouds. I care about performance and couldn't give two shits about looks (metal panel case) but I do care about performance, and two ziptied 120mm fans do a better job at keeping my 3090 cool than the stock 3-fan shroud.

Again, the moment I get a 3D printer I'll make a proper mounting bracket for them. The one upside of modern GPU's is that those shrouds tend to be mounted with six screws and a few plastic clips so it's very easy to remove them and make an adapter.

why do governments make everything in their power to make people hate them?
economy is shit, so people buy from china. instead of making local product more appealing they introduce literally fake penalties to force people to buy local...
except they don't sell this shit locally.
and if they do, I'm not fucking paying a X10 markup to cuck bezos.

>economy is shit, so people buy from china. instead of making local product more appealing they introduce literally fake penalties to force people to buy local..
To be fair it's REALLY hard to make local products more appealing in the timeframe of the usual legislature period. Adding penalties is easier and more immediate.

You'd need a genuine vision for where you want to be to do change the source of it, a sort of shared goal. I can't think of a single western country which currently has one, most of them are just trying to stop decay or in denial about the path and hoping for something to come along to turn things around easily (it won't).
Even their "anti establishment" parties don't have a vision, they at best have things they dislike and would stop or revert (immigration being the big one), but they all act on a level of critique, they don't have a positive (in the logic sense, not the moral sense) counterposition.

Anyways, lets' not talk politics, we have a containment board for that for a reason.

Why ThinkPad?
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap

In T470(s) yes. T470p has quad-core chips very close to the ones in T480, just a little less efficient.

Actually does T470p have soldered USB C ports? I think the charger one on t480 is soldered to motherboard. I heard for t470 that's not the case, but I have no idea about t470p

I'm having a weird issue with my mobile browser on my tablet. This was happening before the new stuff got implemented but whenever I would go to verify the cap, regardless of what I would enter, it would say I typed it incorrectly. It happened with the numbers yesterday and now it's happening with the new cap too. I can confirm another browser on the device works, with zero problems. My FIrefox on desktop is fine. It's just my mobile Chrome and just on my tablet. I tried clearing cookies, tried resetting Chrome, I even reinstalled my webview agent. Any ideas on what I should do to fix it? Seems like a cookies thing and possibly similar to the "range ban" thing you get when you use new cookies.
>>
How bad is it really?
>>
>>107584941
I wouldn't have an issue with it honestly if it didn't break Kuroba Dev and I could actually post from my mobile browser without it always failing, but that issue was happening before the new cap. On desktop , it's not as fast as a solver, but still not as bad as typing.

Memory producers are not increasing production, as to do so would require a huge capital investment and take several years to see production. probably they think it'll all be over in 3-5 years, which is probably about the amount of time to bring more production online. so right now they can make huge bank without risk or effort. so that's what a for-profit corporation would do.

so nvdia has limited access to memory, so they'll prioritize their main customers, which is data center/enterprise/ai. it's economics. consumer grade shit is a side hustle these days.

If you have 3 pins (L,N and PE) you can place your filter and bypass capacitors more optimal and reduce leakage currents.
For home use this is for example a problem for HiFi equipment and can cause brumming sounds.
