These are CPUs that run as fast as an analog circuit for the most part. They don't clock and step with other CPUs except for specialized purposes like IO. They are of course a million times faster and use a fraction of the electricity.

Also note the chip, free running, can do 96 GIPS, 96 billion MIPS, which is like a whole rack of current day servers. At half a watt of power. But each CPU has like 1K of code and 1K of RAM or something small.

If they just need to talk to each other they can do so at this insane native ASIC speed. If they need to interface with a more conventional device they need a clock and appropriate interface on the outside, and probably at least one of the 144 CPUs to clock-down and buffer signals from the other chips to a RAM so that can talk to the external interface.

They already have that, ocular implants. His code runs on major telescopes, satellites, airplanes, missiles, this guy isn't just some fucking nut case lol. He's Chuck Moore.

FPGAs can run without clocks if you ignore the tools and do manual placement.
So what?

FPGAs aren't CPUs, it's a different thing. They CAN be but these are intrinsically. They are both neat. There have been other tries at this, the SPARC Manycore for instance.

There are serious injustices with critical web infrastructure. FOSS devs are underpaid/not paid at all. Take Denis Pushkarven's tragic story. Despite maintaing crucial web infrastructure he's broke. I think the solution is for unpaid devs is to stop maintaing & let the system temporarily collapse, make corporations beg for it back. Bargain for a fair wage. But most people on Fediverse disagree with me and think the EU should take full control, arguing server infrastructure should be overseen by the highest levels of the European Gov. I am asking for market consequences to manifest. But they as for strong centralized Government. I suggested that devs like Pushkarven switch to GPL3 and then show off software updates locally, Upload a YT video showing off the highlights of offline not released fully functional core-JS updates, but don't redistribute the code, instead say they will only distribute code publicly for a large $10,000 dollar fee. See how much bargaining power it has. It doesn't violate the GPL/MIT to show demos of unreleased software and request bargain payment for release, but the GPL3 is better because it demands reciprocity, if code is modified they must return the favor. We can also normalize paying for feature request all around, the software is free but asking for features is labor expect paying for that

Debate: Do we need Government in the FOSS server realm? It looks to me like the Europeans on Mastodon can't tell the difference between voluntary community driven projects & a strong centralized welfare state, they act like these are the same thing. To them Government and Community are synonomous terms. I don't understand why the claim of allowing the system to temporarily collapse until maintainers are paid a fair wage is controversial? I don't understand why they think everything should be free as in beer. Its odd to see self declared "anarcho communist support the EU.

No, but we also don't need neckbeards holding the entire world hostage.

Set up an AI system to maintain it. Problem fucking solved.
>>
>>107563797
t hese corporations probably don't even know how to maintain the software themselves, it requires specialist for long term matinance.

these neckbeards deserve a fair pay, and it should come from supply and demand not a centralized beuracratic state.

Technology has gone too far. Companies are obsessed with making phones as thin as possible but is that really what the consumer wants? I've never heard anybody express that that's next improvement they're lusting for.
They're already way too thin making the the experience less satisfying because the feeling in the hand is horrible.

Thin phone = non-user replaceable battery = phone physically obsolete well before its true lifespan = new purchase

Same reason you get shit repair-ability on cars. Product designs from for-profit companies are inherently compromised by their revenue-maximizing goal.

I wanted a phone with a headphone jack and micro SD expansion in 2025 and with the RAM shortage I kind of panic ordered a new phone. I ordered a Moto G Stylus 2025 over the Redme 14 (I don't have Sony Xperia money). It is actually happening. It is over for GNOME/KDE duopoly. A third competitor has entered the chat.
Will KDE and GNOME even be able to compete given that they have 30 years worth of legacy code?
>>
I'm pretty sure virtually no code from 20-15 years ago exist on GNOME's side. Its not like GNOME uses Sawfish/Sawmill anymore. The last traces of ancient code probably vanished decades ago. But to be fair KDE has a lot of legacy apps that receive new QT/KDE frameworks while staying the same so there is truth that legacy code is present, its probably mostly concentrated in KDE apps not desktop enviorments.

explain to me like im retarded (i am) why AI isnt trained on a more rudimentary level, like on logic, symbolism, pattern recognition etc instead of just being a chat bot that prints out words that dont make sense and arent true a large fraction of the time

Data.
If you train on text, then you can train on the entire internet and on every book every written.
If you train on "symbolism" or "pattern recognition" then, well, what does that actually look like in practice? Where do you get that data, what form does it take?

a good foundation for then training it on text
