I am thinking of buying a new GPU, my budget is very low, 200€, and it seems like the best card I can find for that price is the RTX 3050 6GB, I keep hearing this is a horrible card for the price, both here and on other sites, but I genuinely cannot find anything better for this budget. To give you more info, I mostly use my PC for gaming, but I play always at the lowest settings on 1080p/900p(depends if fullscreen or windowed), and I don't mind playing at these settings even after upgrading, and I'm basically just upgrading because there are some interesting games that my 750 Ti just cannot run at this point. People often recommend cards over it, like the RX6600 but I checked the stores and that think is +300€ where I live.Considering what I am going to use it for, is the 3050 6GB really that bad?
>>107550367Consider used. Consider buying a 1-2 year old gaming PC and harvesting the parts. Use the GPU, sell the ram for profit, the rest for what you can, and you might end up getting the card for free after all is said and done.

what technology are you looking for in 2026?
If someone came to you in 1995 and said in 2015 everyone would have a little computer in their pocket that's thinner than a pencil and is basically just a very high quality screen tha5t can do everything., With fulll access to the internet, and able to make phone calls to anyone, or video calls to anyone anywhere in the world. And the video quality would be better than the highest end picture photography. And it was 1000x faster than the best computers now. Would you believe them?

>>107539172Why you so scared of webp, pedophile tranime faggot?
>>107548591Why aren't you?
>>107546496Webp is shit and it has little to do with jewgle. It's only resl merit is better compression than older formats but comparing to them is disingenuous. You should compare it to JXL and AVIF where it's clearly the worst. The only reason it's prominent is because jewgle is pushing it on everyone because of internal politicking.
>>107550043what do you think of jxl? personally, i think it's the true replacement for jpg/jfif, since it has features that will help in the transition from the legacy jpeg format. lossless recompression of existing jpegs is essential to me and i think everyone would benefit as well, as long as it's widely adopted.
Early 2020s: China enacts laws severely crippling the internet for people unless they show IDJul 2025 (Online Safety Act): UK enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show ID; remains in effect despite initial outcryDec 2025 (Online Safety Amendment): Australia enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show ID; likely to remain in effect despite current outcryApr 2026? (KOSA, made it into the House recently): US enacts laws neutering the internet for people unless they show their IDsEU has similar shit on the table iirc, they're the fucking EU they love regulationThis will get worse, and this won't go away, at least not in the way you want it to - it'll be an impossibly difficult sell because "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!" Security theater is notoriously difficult to reverse, just compare flying pre and post 9/11. This'll probably be more of the same. Again, UK already had a petition, the gov there just laughed in everyone's faces. Only way any of this is really "going away" is, like, the internet itself going extinct. Not just this btw, also got countries banning Chinese social media (which in many cases can ironically be less restrictive), Android banning sideloading, etc. This won't get kids playing outside again. They'll just watch only the government-OK kid-friendly TV, YouTube Shorts, and AI. Sheeple will still use a heavily policed internet and talk to Amanda the AI HR Lady because "brain need dopamine". China's still full of internet addicts despite having long had one of the world's most censored internets.Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.

>>107548471basically yeah. it was marketed for that, industrial applications, accessibility, and people with large hands. its ps/2 and from 1994, but i want to use t over usb so the pico is going to serve as an active adapter since the keyboard doesnt support usb natively. the pico is also eventually going to support custom functionality like key remapping since the keyboard can switch betweek abcdef and qwerty, and im also planning on bodging in some cherry switches for the modifier keys its lacking, which would probably make this the (soon to be) only keyboard in the world with bolth alps and cherry switches.
