The fact that your CPU is requesting updates from the mouse 8000 times/second... The USB bus doesn't interrupt the CPU to get higher priority. That's why it's called a polling rate. PS/2 mice and keyboards do send interrupts, making their latency lower than optical mice in almost every case.
>>
>>106507728
Doing god's work anon
>>
>>106507912
Just because the USB controller is acting as a middleman for the mouse interrupts, it doesn’t change the fact that USB mice are also interrupt driven IO devices. You are right about the latency however, but this one is a given because the CPU doesn’t have to wait for shit when dealing with PS2.

you should realize /g/ has exactly zero subtlety or nuance regarding AI. either you're a true believe or you work in tech and you see the end of your career coming around the corner.
i see unemployed coders and net engineers storming data centers in the near future. they'll throw jeets from the walls and put servers on pikes.

mac, unironically

Arch Linux obviously. Distrohopping isn't even real, just something new users do because they don't understand you can just change your DE (or anything else). The "real" choice is between Debian, Fedora, and Arch. Arch being the endgame once you realize how distros and Linux work.
>>
>>106507533
I agree once you know the layers
DE or WM/Display Server and whats what is all unix based systems you realize that "distro-hopping" is just trying the same products packaged differently. People that dont understand that Linux Mint's product is Cinnamon DE are the ones that distro-hop

Daily reminder you can just spoof your Windows 10 LTSC 2021 (21H2) installation to appear as newer versions such as Windows 11 Enterprise (23H2) to bypass OS build requirements in new software, via:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

Windows 10 22H2 minimum requirement
Set CurrentBuild and CurrentBuildNumber to 19045 and DisplayVersion to 22H2.

Windows 11 22H2 minimum requirement
Set CurrentBuild and CurrentBuildNumber to 22621, ProductName to Windows 11 Enterprise, and DisplayVersion to 22H2.

Windows 11 23H2 minimum requirement
Set CurrentBuild and CurrentBuildNumber to 22631, ProductName to Windows 11 Enterprise, and DisplayVersion to 23H2.

Windows 11 24H2 (26100) as a requirement is where this spoof might start to not work, but can still be attempted in the future.
That's when Microsoft finally adds a few new Win32 API functions in the kernel32.dll or user32.dll files, and any program that requires both AVX2 and 24H2 as a minimum requirement will not run either.
Adobe and Activision-Blizzard have a secret agreement with Microsoft they must artificially block older Windows versions.

I don't understand why the IBM workflow would be the only scenario where Fedora is used by one with a job. I could just as easily call you unemployed for not daily driving Windows 11 Enterprise Edition, which would be equally stupid.

So you're just confirming you're unemployed, ok.
Im a network engineer and every machine on the domain uses PRO not enterprise because every decent computer already comes with it so you don't have to buy licences. You would know this if you had a job.

Another evening being unemployed. Disappointing: my family, all the teachers who helped me grow, the society I live in, the army for not joining and helping my country, the children of the future, the old people who need my pension taxes, relgious orginizations who would benefit from my tithe.

I'm just a loser. A nobody. An incel. Nothing.

Maybe I should have became an suicide and given up on everything instead of social networking on linkedin trying to become an office IT thought influencer. Should I just kill myself?

Don't buy anything OTHER THAN IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and W/P Series if you want the Real Business Experience™
>Other business laptops are welcome in /tpg/ (Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook)

Why ThinkPad?
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap
>Excellent keyboards, tactile feel and quiet + the TrackPoint
>Great durability: magnesium roll cage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop
>Easy to repair (most models), upgrade & maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model, spare parts easy & cheap to obtain
>Excellent Linux & *BSD support

Ok i'll bite: It does, you have a fuckload of tools at your disposal (conf hardening via partitioning, groups, kernel arguments and modules, policykit, dbus policies, firewall profiles, tomoyo/apparmor/selinux, firejail, third part demons like usbguard, etc...), just use them. Retard.

Not nearly the same thing lmfao. MacOS "SIP" is also known as "rootless" mode, which is a much better name because it explains what it actually does. It restricts the root account to the point it can't do shit. Can't change system files, can't debug system processes, can't load/unload kernel extensions, can't use library preloading to code inject. The whole of /usr (and other system directories) becomes read-only permanently and there's no way to remount it as read/write while the OS is running. The only way to disable SIP is to reboot to recovery mode, to prevent someone from compromising root account and just disabling it.

Meanwhile on nearly every Linux distro, root can modify system directories like /bin and /usr, load arbitrary kernel modules, read/write kernel memory, or just kexec and replace the entire kernel. What a shitshow. No wonder no one takes that clown OS as a desktop seriously.

Radeon is doing okay. You're only looking and consumer GPU market and even that market isn't too bad. The MI355X sold well because it's faster in some scenarios, particularly in scientific studies. This drop in the market has to do with AI.
