you can avoid all this bullshit by being friends with people who'll invite you to the top-tier trackers.
>>
>>107657020
why?
>>
>>107656913
>Why doesn't RED just lower requirements in places where it's already recruiting ?
No. Gatekeeping is good.
>>
>>107657338
Yeah, this is how I joined and still the best way. But do you think the average /ptg/ or even 4chan poster have a functional brain and social skills to interact with people? Certainly not when they are frying their brains everyday with /pol/ crap.
>>
>>107657410
cool it down champ. i have online friend from my local private tracker and that friend want to invite me to PTP but i have refused the offer because i am only interested in KG and he is currently not participant there.

resetting the bios disabled the hdmi port on the gpu. had to unplug the hdmi and plugin a displayport cable to get it to load into the bios. it seems that it wasnt even doing that when i couldnt see it. despite trying to navigate it without seeing it since its only a set number of inputs to load a saved profile.

I have it loading to the bios now but it seems the Cooler's fucked up fan or maybe the motherboards fucking up power delivery destroyed the M.2.

about to pop it out and put it in another computer

I recently got a Samsung SSD 990 EVO. Randomly, it sort of turns itself off and I can't read or write to it anymore. It gives me "A device which does not exists was specified." error.

I updated the motherboard bios, I checked the power options to be sure it doesn't turn it off with power saving, and I disabled vmd setup in the bios.
I still keep having this error.

Crystaldisk info reports it as healthy at 100%. Could it be that its standard is 2.0 instead of 1.4?
>>
>>107657389
I would wager that the m.2 slot is being shared by either SATA or PCI
Consult the motherboard manual (downloadable .pdf from the manufacturer site)

As a security paradigm have we transcended this as genuinely being secure in this day and age?

2026 will be the year of the Linux desktop (real)

The desktop already is irrelevant to most people, why would the average person need a desktop to do the basic tasks smartphones can do? Gen Z and younger don't even understand basic computing knowledge, and boomers just see computers as a box of black magic. Windows is not a household name anymore, the home user from the days of Win 95 to 7 are gone and the desktop for and is now the domain of professionals and enthusiasts again. Its time is over and its hold is collapsing.
>>
troonix will never be relevant outside of tranny circles

Linux must be prevented from becoming popular, otherwise it will be co-opted by companies and slowly lock users in to the level where Linux turns into Windows, just look at Android as an example.

What would you even do with those computers at this point? Install Linux and live on the terminal? I guess that's something but you could also do that on a pi and save electricity and not worry about the processor overheating or the ancient hard drive failing.

Use one for old programs, another for parts, third was also going to be for parts, but years later I had a friend who was interested in using one as a case for a mini build (and was starting to think of doing the same).
I was mostly pissed about losing the monitor. It's still a really pretty and functional piece of equipment.

I would probably just take out all the components and try to fit something modern in there, very cool case.

I used kimi on OR because I don't have enough for real quants. It's legit better than d/s. Not as schizo. I wish I had bought 128 more gigs.. now that costs $400 dollars. Before it was $80.

To compare to Kimi actually. I'm very happy with my Kimi setup and want to see how Dipsy differs in writing voice. I'm going to compare to a fat quant of GLM 4.7 as well while I'm at it.

Don't rely on one medium. Have it backed up in multiple. Also writing/printing stuff down and laminating it is also an option. If you want to preserve your stuff for thousands of years - put it in clay tablets, bake them, seal them underground in sealed container
