Go to rtings, choose any OLED review, scroll down to OD transition 0 to 31, observe the flickering. Yes, OLED has this problem on displaying low brightness values lile 31rgb on a per pixel basis. So some pixels might go 255rgb full brightness white while simultaneously the darker parts of the screen flicker in the refresh rate interval. And since the refreshrate is not above 3000Hz this flickering is making your eye muscles spasm like a virgin in an orgy

What the fuck is wrong with my ZTE's battery? I've never seen a spicy pillow only inflate on one side and it's not even really inflating, it's forming thick hard raised ridges on the top and bottom left corners (and along the left side) but the right side is completely intact. Isn't it supposed to inflate evenly?
>>
I bought an iPhone 17 and an Apple Watch and I'm liking the experience so far. There are annoyances, like settings being different than I'm used to, the slower charging speed. iPhone stores photos in the most retarded way imaginable (no camera roll folder, wtf?) but I like how the devices interact with each other. For example if I get a notification while wearing my watch only my watch vibrates but if I'm not wearing my watch, my iPhone knows to vibrate and light up the screen. The face ID stuff is cool too. I like that they changed it so I can look at my phone without it unlocking. It's hard getting used to the swipe left/right gesture to go back being gone though.

I think Apple Watch is superior to Galaxy Watch though, watch versions of apps I had on Android are better and have a wider selection than on my old Galaxy Watch 6. Also the refresh rate on the base iPhone is now 120hz which is what piqued my interest in trying this in the first place, 60hz is just unusable.

My biggest gripe is the keyboard being stupid and and not customizable, I'm making a lot more typos than I usually do.

Any other iPhone users here? I was going to try this experiment for a year to see how different my daily use is.
>>
>>107840352
>I'm making a lot more typos than I usually do

I want to upgrade to a base 17 or 16PM from my Galaxy S23, with the main factor being face ID. My S23 has face unlock and it works perfectly, but it won't let me authenticate my payment or bank apps, which is so fucking annoying, because I have dry fingers and the FP reader can just fail on me while I'm at the cashier and I have to fumble around with my wallet to find my physical card, because otherwise I'd have to stand there typing my password manually.
Also how's the battery? My S23 has really mediocre battery that only lasts me a full day because I just straight up don't use the phone for more than 3 hours a day, including playing my silly Trickcal gacha game for like 30 minutes. I'd hope an iPhone 17 would have significantly better battery. If I push my current phone I could probably get about 6 hours of SoT with light usage (video, 4chan shitposting) on Wi-Fi at 120Hz or 5-6 hours on 4G with power saver.

You can check the database
https://www.techpowerup.com/ssd-specs/
They keep track of hardware changes.
>>
If they did revive the 3060, would it be just pulling out existing cards in deep storage warehouses or spooling up those long-term 8nm machines to make more? Could it even be possible for them to try engineering in some new features like FP8 support on this old node just so that it can benefit from newer DLSS better?

There's minimal chance of them adding features since it would cost them additional money and manpower to debug the changes

Why do people still use guhnome in 2025, usecase?

It doesn't even have a task bar like windows and is functionally broken.

KDE just werks, Krita Just werks, KDE connect just werks.

I installed kubuntu everything just werks with flatpaks.

The only real issue I've had with Gnome over the years is that it's hard to change your default terminal away from the Gnome one because it's literally hardcoded to use the Gnome terminal. Apart from that it's been great. I'm not a tinkerer and I don't care about random niche features. I just want something that works mostly out of the box.

>Surely a reflective LCD still needs a constant supply of power supplied to it?
They do, but power usage has never been the main selling point of e-ink devices, it's always been the paper like qualities. And RLCD displays are not going to be using as much power on backlighting/frontlighting as the typical backlit LCD's are.
>>107831648
>Why do RLCD have such low resolutions compared to coventional backlit LCD?
Unless there is a technical detail causing this that I'm not aware of, this is merely about RLCD being a niche product.
>What remains to be seen is how much color-particle based e-ink can be improved.
I don't have much hope regarding color e-ink, to be honest. There is no indication that e-ink will ever be capable of magazine level color reproduction.

I have all sorts of wrappers that run local apps

for example typing "spongebob" runs
setsid ~/Applications/mpv-master/build/mpv --auto-window-resize=no --autofit=55% --force-window --shuffle ~/Videos/Spongebob >/dev/null 2>&1 &

to auto play spongebob episodes in mpv. Plenty of more wrappers like that and I don't need sudo.

I tried using my phone but within a few weeks the headphone jack was broken. Phones are too big as audio players, which you typically put into a pocket that barely fits it, putting way too much mechanical stress on the plug and jack. And screw bluetooth IEMs, not gonna put a chink shit lithium bomb in my ears and I don't want to have to charge them in the first place.
Meanwhile I've been using my small and light sansa clip+ for over a decade without issues (except the volume up button being broken, but I can set the volume via settings so no big deal)

I can't understand how you guy are letting LLMs do their own thing without triple checking everything.
I'm not a programmer, but having used every LLMs at least once since chatgpt 3.5, I can't trust them for shit. Most of the issues you get is because the LLM assumed something about the project and rolled with it instead of checking the code. It also loves to rewrite large chunks of code instead of only doing the bare minimum asked.
Currently I'm using gemini 3 pro for a single reason: their large context is good and boy does it count when you're on a medium-large codebase.
I have my own process now and that involves having detailed specifications, providing a file tree, making unit tests, writing a report of what has been implemented and what to be careful about for the next step. If it gets stuck on an issue, reviewing everything that has been tried so far and go in another direction. And even with all of this, I'm still diffchecking every change and confirm anything that doesn't make sense to me by giving it the files related to the one it modified in context. I won't lie, so far it's been a very painful process, but at least it works.
>>
>>107840336
>without triple checking everything.
>I'm not a programmer,
Being able to give coherent instructions and review diff output in these tools makes a huge difference. You're riding a bicycle uphill with square wheels. Go write a few small programs in at least two different languages without touching an AI.

Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
