Power generation doesn't just have to work, it has to work better than all the alternatives.

It does work in the sense it generates electricity.
But from what I could gather its only about enough to charge a single EV per day and so far need 24/7 supervision.
They can probably run it unsupervised eventually but I suspect they would still need someone to set it up and take it down any time the weather changes.

The idea is to put them in locations without a grid connection for temporary use like at a building site or a large event.
It would be an alternative to a mobile generator and not emit NOx (some places have a ban on emitting additional NOx).
But I think large but transportable batteries are far more economical.

Hogwash bullshit. 4k is marketing meme, PERIOD. Techlet consoomers fell it like they do everything else.
REAL science proves the human eye cannot tell the difference between 2k and 4k.
That doesn't stop idiots and morons from wasting their money on memes then lying and pretending they can tell the difference.

Just start with the basics. You should get a handle on the 12 principles of animation, that's where you start. If you were to do a college course that's the entry level tasks everyone does (it's what I did as a student too). Look at the examples of Level 1 exercises here (swap out "3. Brick falling from a shelf onto the ground" for a bowling ball bounce, that's usually the typical exercise for weight): https://www.animatorisland.com/51-great-animation-exercises-to-master/
Look up some references on youtube, it will explain some of these concepts to you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve_basic_principles_of_animation
Student year 1 showreels are a good thing to look for on youtube too.
Don't worry about character animation for the moment, just focus on understanding these. Once you feel a bit confident with them, then you could do a small animation (like expressions, or a character walk, just basic things). Here is a good site for references and ideas: https://www.sakugabooru.com/post
And yeah, you can technically be good at animation while not being good at drawing (3D and 2D rigs come to mind as an example). Some people can make really fluid animation even if their drawing skills are not very good. But generally speaking you need a really good grasp on anatomy and perspective to be able to fully animate well.

It's sad, I'd really like android or even surface tablets to be successful but options outside of ipad are just not there as yet.
>>107849748
Can confirm everyone in the industry is using ipads and procreate.
>>107849927
The future of desktop tablets is moving away from buttons, look at Wacom's current lineup. They want to sell you them back seperately at a 100 bucks peripheral. Most people using ipads are using bluetooth keyboards too, they work surprisingly well.

Noting to bug out since it's just a basic menu with calls, texts and settings for volume and shit.

VSync is enabled by default. But it's no substitute for the awful performance.
>>
>>107854858
I skimmed through your code. I actually think the problem is your collision checking code, not your rendering.
GPUs can process billions of triangles per second, and your shaders are trivial. You're not doing anything too dumb in the rendering loop, but that collision code is using the CPU to compare the player position with every single block every frame.
Your chunking code does seem to be somewhat inefficient, as you're iterating over all the chunks multiple times. You'd be far better off storing the chunks in some kind of sorted data structure, then using the player position, plus a range, to index into that.
Instancing and indirect drawing would also help your rendering by reducing the number of draw calls, but you should fix the basic issues first.

Oh my, how embarassing.
>>
>>107855274
Nevermind about the collision code. Looking at it more, it seems good enough for CPU collusion checking.
Still, you should run your code through some kind of profiler. You'll learn a lot that way.
>>
>>107855289
I was wrong about that. It looks like it's iterating over every chunk, but it's actually only looking through the chunk that the player is in.

>>
I don't pay for slop but among the free options Gemini is shoulders and hips above anything else. In particular it's the most likely to have recent information and find new information at runtime and it understands intent much better. I don't think that last part is actually because they have a better architecture, I think they just haven't overcooked it as much as the others. It reacts more like a human and less like an HR redditor and seems to understand irony and oblique. Deepseek has been confirmed to be an inbred retrain of an old version of chatgpt since the beginning and I think they made it even worse since then by distilling it. With that said, Qwen is #1 in images by a lot, although so few enthusiasts have enough VRAM to play with it that it's still way under its ceiling.

Ultra-wide monitors are just a productivity placebo for people who can’t manage windows. You spent $900 to recreate two 1080p screens glued together, still alt-tab like a caveman, and call it a “workflow.” If your setup only works when everything is fullscreen, you didn’t level up — you just bought cope in 21:9.

Vim/Neovim maximalism is theater kid energy for programmers. You memorized 400 keybinds to avoid using a mouse, then spend half your day explaining your config instead of shipping anything. Congrats, your editor boots in 0.3 seconds and you still missed the deadline.

Self-hosting everything is the new essential oils. You turned your weekend into unpaid SRE work so you can say you “own your stack,” while your services go down every time you reboot the router. Cloud services exist so normal people can touch grass and still have working software.

Android “power users” are just unpaid QA. You flash ROMs, break banking apps, and call instability “freedom.” Meanwhile iOS users updated once and moved on with their lives while you’re stuck on XDA hunting a fix for yesterday’s bug.

Smart home setups are 90% ritual, 10% utility. You don’t need three hubs, MQTT, and YAML just to turn on a light. If your house stops functioning when Wi-Fi drops, you didn’t build a home — you built a demo environment.

Mechanical keyboard sound tests are ASMR for people avoiding real work. Linear, tactile, thocky, clacky — none of it matters if you’re still typing Slack messages and Jira comments all day.

No it isn’t, an Apple-sized elephant is the size of an apple. The answer is literally in the question, there is zero requirement to do any calculations. It asked how big, not how massive, or how much does it weight.
>>
>>107852429
A calculator is capable of finding answers for given inputs, with nearly 100% accuracy. I guess they’re the super intelligence we were looking for.

Meme’s aside, these things are built solely to produce locally coherent text, the “correctness” is a result of statistically modelling typically coherent and correct human text. It isn’t even that flexible, give it curveball and it’ll resolutely give a wrong answer. They have literally no formal reasoning capacity, if it’s correct it’s either because the correct answer is the most common answer statistically, or you got lucky and on a regen it’ll be wrong.

Critically, LLMs lack any capacity for meaningful self-reflection and introspection. The “thinking” text spit out by newer models is hallucinatory bullshit that has no connection to the internal process. It improves results only because it brings the input text for the final step closer to that of carefully reasoned human writing. The appearance of intelligence is an artefact of the dataset it is modelling, not any kind LLMs as a technology themselves. They’re shit at math, and either cheat by calling other tools heuristically, or luck out because the question given is common enough online for the token probabilities to line up.

In short, I’m loathe to call it intelligence, because there is no thinking, no ability to learn, a pathological inability to notice mistakes, and an inability to apply “known” knowledge to novel scenarios. I find it difficult to believe that animal intelligence relies solely, or even largely, on statistical retrieval of previously seen facts.

How do I check if there's a virus that's planted itself on a drive (non-bootable; backup)? I'm wholly ignorant with regards to knowing what a virus can and cannot do, so I don't know what precautions to take to ensure another system/drive doesn't get infected. I don't believe I have any reason to worry, but I just want 100% assurance (even though there's almost no such thing).

Are virus/malware scanners sufficient? What then if something is found, and how to discern between a false positive? Do I just nuke my partition table and use recovery software to recover my files?

Vertical video is the norm now. All video is vertical now. People actively wish horizontal videos were vertical. They yearn for vertical video even when they're not circumstantially limited to it. A kid asked me to hold his phone and film him doing a trick at a skate park last week and when I held it in landscape mode he stopped me, took the phone, changed it to portrait and continued. Ten years ago vertical video was considered digital AIDS. It was to be avoided at all cost. Now it's the golden standard.
