I'd love to get into gentoo at some point to be able to look at and configure everything from the ground up, but a properly setup Mint install does everything I need as my daily driver.

Mint is very, very, very far from perfect, but it's still the distro that I keep coming back to (but that might be saying more about the competition than it does about Mint)

Is there any modified firmware available for EuroDOCSIS modems as well or is it strictly USA thing? The owner of my ISP is incredibly jewish and I would prefer to not give him any money.

>>107551342
I have no personal experience with EuroDOCSIS except for seeing it in docs and the UI for the config editors. I know the configs formats are entirely compatible but not sure about the hardware on the modems. As far as I can tell, if the modem hardware is capable (different channel widths to support in some cases and maybe different frequencies used) then the same firmware is able to handle both.
But I can't confidently say it would work because I never took a DOCSIS modem to Europe or a EuroDOCSIS modem to the US.

Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.

I bought Solakaka SM809 mouse as replacement for my dying Redragon M908 and pretty much everything is better except it's just not as comfortable for large hands due to being noticeably smaller especially in width. Can I return it or am I stuck with the 'kaka?

It's so joever my man.
If you can return it depends on how long ago it was that you bought it as well as your local laws. But usually sellers will do whatever they can to make it not worth your time to return shit sadly.

guide anon, if you're listening.
Might this be worth adding to the guide?
Pretty much when I search on Google for "1.75x" or "2.25x" then actual companies that make good magnifiers show in the results. Where they properly spec 1.75x magnification or 3 diopter, 2.25x magnification or 5 diopter. Otherwise searching for "3x/5x/10x/20x magnifier" tends to show more of the junk products from China that are using "Ax magnifier" which is actually the diopter value in order to trick people.

Which flavor to install? I want to give it shot as a desktop OS running on old laptop.
>>
>>107551510
>laptop
As a rule of thumb, install OpenBSD. If it doesn't meet your expectations, consider NetBSD or FreeBSD; the former is a last resort, depending on your laptop's architecture. The latter no longer supports i686.
I run Free on my laptop for ZFS. Battery life is better on Open. Both are easier to use than Net.

I finally downloaded yt-dlp and figured out how to use it.

Denuvo seems kind of based to me. It reassures dumb studios who would otherwise delay PC ports by giving semi-effective DRM, but it doesn't seem to impact that much stuff like mods etc. Because it's a subscription it won't hurt game preservation too much since studios will eventually be forced to lift the DRM. And modern games aren't so amazing that you have to play them right away, and honestly, if one is, they fucking earned it. I give up, I just want good games to come out at this point.

The only downside is if studios go bankrupt and leave the only copy of their game with nasty DRM. But it's not unbreakable, so at worst it leaves future autists or AIs with a nifty puzzle and a prize built in
>>
>>107549377
hogwarts is selling now for $4 on steam and they still have denuvo. I think some retard companies will never remove it.

Also its been proven that denuvo costs fps. Its anti-consumer.
>>
>>107549456
>I think some retard companies will never remove it.
Sometimes it's a negotiated contract for how long it'll last.
This thread started off with posting about SEGA, who will probably never room. They were one of the key players in denuvo early on and have some sort of partnership/contract with them that doesn't use the same rates as everyone else.
Other than that, publishers negotiate with it on a title by title basis, we used to see denuvo for a year, then it dropped to 6 months etc. Then there's pubs like SE who release games that don't even have denuvo on some titles.

For SEGA in particular. Something nobody has mentioned is that not only do they keep it for games they leaked accidentally without denuvo like EO, because that would devalue any future updates.
But there's a really, fucking weird one. Yakuza 7 / like a dragon. Is on GoG, DRM free. I shit you not. You can buy it, without denuvo. You can pirate it. On steam? It still has denuvo, same with GFWL / whatever that UWP abomination is.

They don't care, they don't pay for denuvo beyond the initial release, while other publishers are locked into paying "favourable" rates to continue using it months 1-6, and so on.
Remember, if your game gets leaked without denuvo, and you can update it, you still have value, if you keep denuvo attached, even if you intend to remove it at month 12, because you sell the concept of secure and timely updates, and there's also a bunch of people who assume it never got cracked at all, or that it's unsafe (even when it's the publishers error).

Denuvo is the bastard fucking child of securom. Sony deserve to have all their execs beheaded in the streets, and that cunt who killed demos for a decade and a half in the 7th gen attached to the Israeli firm? You betcha.
The industry is rigged, to get suckers, doling out dollars.
>>
>>107551285
>Sony
The toughest versions of Denuvo were developed after Sony ejected them. While it was under Sony it was still easy to automate the cracking process. And literally ZERO Sony games on PC use Denuvo.

I'd be willing to pay for a denuvo game if despite the DRM niggerbloat, it performed really good, as that would mean that those devs deserve my money, however, I am never ever paying.

Uhh, well whatever form factor you prefer is best for you. I had the xross 5 and when completely sealing off the air vent, it drew air from the usb-c port, which I found pretty weird, and a lot of times id close off the usb-c port with my finger while vaping, and it wouldnt draw any air at all. So for me the nano's are more comfortable.
