I know the configs formats are entirely compatible but not sure about the hardware on the modems. And modern games aren't so amazing that you have to play them right away, and honestly, if one is, they fucking earned it. But it's not unbreakable, so at worst it leaves future autists or AIs with a nifty puzzle and a prize built in
