I was about to get a tablet, then I thought it's useless, my flagship smartphone has way more power.

What am I going to do with a tablet? Have a slightly bigger screen?

I can use the Android Desktop mode(or Samsung's), a terminal emulator, and I can run a Desktop Environment and everything.

What do you think? One is a portable monitor with a battery and a wireless display, the other ones are glasses that supposedly give you a 4k screen. Has anyone tried the glasses? Do you have advice and recommendations, with prices too? Regards.

I already have an x86 laptop with 8gb of ram. Why do you think they suck, what is the problem?

>>107654834
Kinda tempted, really shwifty.

>>107654864
I know, but the bigger screen is good for connecting to my tower PC, that's basically the only reason I need one.
I wouldn't need an overpowered and overpriced big phone.

Any recommendations on portable screen? Maybe I could diy a tablet out of it.

Regards.

Stop being retarded. Every LCD gets image retention if you show something in the same spot long enough, especially on IPS displays.
You just never noticed it.
>>
>>107655546
image retention goes away after a while - it doesn't fuck up the display perrmantly so who carers
>>
>>107655558
And it comes back within MINUTES once it starts happening. Old LCDs will start looking fucked up around the edges due to this.
Luckily it only really starts to happen after years of showing the same image, but you can say the same thing about burn in.
>>
>>107655546
Oh fuck off. If I don't notice image retention on my LCD monitor after displaying static HDR content blasting out at 1150 nits for fifteen minutes straight because I decided to cook dinner, then it doesn't fucking exist. Not for that specific panel, at least--my Tab S6 Lite and one particular monitor at my workplace have very obvious image retention, but no other monitor there has anything that's even remotely able to be construed as image retention.

I made a website with some educational tools, like an interactive periodic table and charts with basic formulas for different areas of physics, scientific resources like that, a coin toss simulator, and other curiosities. It's public, but I did not share it anywhere yet. I feel it's not ready for launch, so it barely gets any views.

I'm a total amateur. I come from graphic design and learned HTML/CSS/JS on my own, which was all I really needed. While I started the project for fun, now I think it's genuinely useful for students. I want to know what the next steps are here, perhaps a way to make some money out of it, even if just a little. So far, all I have is a donation button just in case, but none so far. Is ad revenue from regular websites still a thing? Should I make it into a downloadable app instead?

The website is not revolutionary or anything, but the idea is to pack a lot of useful basic-level stuff into a nice, clean design. I'm not sure if there is space for this or if I am wasting my time on a dead project.

I just redid a single-page site to use @scope instead of BEM like I normally do. I'm not sure if I like it yet. I'm worried I'm going to miss being able to select a long-ass BEM class name and have it be unique across an entire site (so find-and-replace for anything with it is guaranteed to be exhaustive).
Pic related used to have more classes and also way longer classes
but now I can get away with selectors like ` ` (the descendant selector) and just have a dumbass div or aside

Chernobyl was the cherry on the top. A decade before it happened, there was the one-two punch of Three Mile Island happening around the time the popular movie 'China Syndrome' was released. Lots of people conflated the details of the two in their brains. When Chernobyl happened, it confirmed their views.
During the Cold War, the Soviet Union extensively funded anti-nuclear groups in the West because even civilian research and development of nuclear power could also advance nuclear weapons production. When the Iron Curtain collapsed, those groups remained throughout the West, full of true believers who had been programmed by the Soviets to hate everything nuclear, with no one around from the USSR to deprogram them.
That said, mixing nuclear reactors with the competency crisis sounds like a bad plan and just because it seems like the powers that be would know better than to DEI up the operations of a nuclear reactor, many of them are either true believers in DEI's central belief that everyone is equally capable if given a chance, or they themselves are part of the competency crisis and don't understand the risks.

do you mean 1TB?
it's done "in hardware", but you shouldn't trust that shit.
an analogy: in some cases software sends commands to simply "delete" encryption keys from SSDs, but there is research that shows that "hardware encrypted" data can be recovered, and keys are reused or insecure keys are used once and once again.
just run dban or
dd if=/dev/urandom of=/dev/your-ssd

Currently reading pic related and really enjoying it. Learning how to build my own containers just with bash commands, learning about all the internals. Haven't had this much fun in a while. It's only 200 pages, absolutely recommended for anyone interested.

Btw, is there ctf but for containers? There used to be such a site but it's no longer working.
