>6th strongest economy and military in a world of 200
The vast majority of those 200 are unable to feed or house even most of their own population and routinely suffer catastrophic war and famine. That's not a high bar to clear, and it's such a low bar that even the top 5 can't feed or clothe everyone.

The truth is being the best in a competition of which country is the most economically productive is pointless if most of your country is oppressed and miserable. Which the UK now gets to boldly claim they're standing among Iran, Russia, North Korea, Afghanistan with how they're having to restrict the internet to keep their dictators in power. Each one of those countries can also make a bold claim about how powerful they are as well when no one else is allowed to speak.

> government go full evil mode, introduce censor-happy laws, prioritize random invaders over good of their own people and generally turn their country into a fucking shitshow.
> worldwide companies decide to treat them as lost cause and don't bother with attempting to change to their laws.

This is it, UK will slowly be turned into third-world country and it's completely by their own choice.

EU next
Canada is reviving censorship laws.
Australia just implemented censorship laws

The west is cooked. Only the US is still flirting with it. Even the Republicans are floating around some censorship laws, but they are getting pushed back by libertarians so that might not happens. Local states are passing censorship laws.
>>
>>106755165
>The west is cooked.
This
Free societies are more successful, but successful societies can't be harshly controlled. once the ruling class gains so much power that they can hold on to it, they're going to pull every trick in the book to keep anyone else from getting power ever again. Censorship is just one of those tools.

Local states were always the weak link in the chain of the constitution. As are private companies. The founders didn't think private companies were as much of an issue, because of course people could see that entities like the East India Trading Company were just the British Crown wearing a mask, no one would fall for that 200 years form when they wrote that. Same with states making their own laws, no one would seriously think a state would try to implement absurd laws that undermine the constitution, the constitution is the most common-sense initiative ever created. The naivety of men who have been dead for over a century to underestimate the capacity of evil is why we're trapped in this hell.

What type of trackball do you prefer? Finger? Thumb?

That sounds like your ball grip is weird. Are you using your fingertips? The contact point of my fingers on the ball is the first joint from the top of the finger. I find thumb balls strain the thumb too much.
>>
>>106755123
>The contact point of my fingers on the ball is the first joint from the top of the finger
mine as well, i think my finger is simply a lot less maneuverable than my thumb which i'm sure will improve with time. i often have to use both index + middle to do finely detailed movements. that might just be a sticky bearings issue though.

The fact you think I was claiming old code was broken tells me a lot.
Once you get past your hello triangle stage where you pretend you're a l33t haxor, you're going to realise how lifeless the Vulkan world really is. All of the cool cutting-edge features lack tooling support for years, 99% of the tutorials still come from the OpenGL days, and features like meshlets are dead on arrival in the ecosystem.
Someone like me can keep up with all this by reading the release notes, docs and academic papers. Someone like you gets giga-filtered but think otherwise because they rendered a spinning cube. We are not the same.
Btw, you should know the just-use-OpenGL meme was stale even 5 years ago, so try shilling for WebGPU next time.
>>
Unironically. /g/ loses it's fucking mind when discussing it.

Khronos will do anything but admit they fucked up. 90% of new features are ease of use stuff.

This is why I hate /g/. Also they cry about things that doesn't make any sense like Linux being pro-LGBT while using Windows and macOS that are officially supporting LGBT and have millions more developers part of the LGBT. People crying about Librewolf while Brave is literally officially Google Chromium based LGBT browser. These anons don't care about LGBT (of course not when they choose the more pro-LGBT option every time).

Can you play league of legends on your server OS?
Can you run Photoshop on your server OS? FL studio? Ableton live?

>>
>>106755243
Can your obsolete trash do it either, lol? Even if some shit working now in the year or two they'll force you to win11 where you'll go full retard with recall, copilot and other shit.
While modern Linux supports VRR, HDR, has better performance on modern systems with better scheduling, doesn't rape your SSD with swap file thanks to zram, has better file systems (btrfs, xfs).
And yes, it can run Photoshop and FL studio and there are scripts for automatic install, so even mouth breathing retards like you could install them. Although open source alternatives are better.
>>
>>106755304
Still don't care about your shitty server OS
I read all of that and I still don't have a fuck to give

the issue with mumble's audio is the lack of built in noise suppression and the like. If someone joins whilst driving or whatever it's just earrape and there's nothing they can do besides mute
>>
>>106749316
realest post in here. Basically all of these "alternatives" have dogshit screensharing. Only one that did it well was guilded but there's no reason to use guilded over discord. The only promising one is teamspeak, but they released screensharing without even having hardware encoding so it's not looking good for them either.

thinking of switching to brave. any advice /g/?
