While he still recommends using his yt-dlp, The only reason Mental "Yakub" Outlaw crated mpv is so that white boys with low tech skills could use something better instead of the collosal beached land whale known as VLC or cloud spyware like Spotify and Youtube. If you really want to to go further minimalist from mpv, Yakub recommends mplayer.

On his own computer Yakub has a experimental bare bones heavily modified ffmpeg libraries being called that launch on 90s UNIX. The crowd erupted in celebration when Yakub sat down logged into a CDE desktop on a 1994 Solaris with 16 mb of RAM, playing a 720p YT video of his chicken coup. The heavily modified bare bones yt-dlp + ffmpeg libraries were a success.

I tell ya when it comes to mininmalism no one beats him. He's even trying to push the specs lower.

Not true. The likes of Red Hat and Canonical aren’t beholden to the tranny menace, they’re just apolitical corporations focussed on providing good products and services.

What's the use of XFCE then? The design fucking sucks, Thunar and etc. simply boring and useless (while there's something called Dolphin).

All they needed to do is making the theme darker and align a better icon set with the tray.

Don't wanna burst a free, volunteer-driven project but I couldn't shake with that fucking GTK problems and the outdated design as a slightly idiot end-user. Sorry.

Are 1nm chips the holy grail of computing, or is it possible to make chips with fractional electrons without floating point errors?
19 replies and 3 images omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>107991253
The probability distribution applies only to wave-like electrons. For things like memory and SSDs where you need bit-perfect data, they convert electrons to particles.
>>
>>107991280
what the fuck are you talking about nigga the electrons don't care what you name the IP block
>>
>>107991287
If they used wave-like electrons for data, it would get corrupted, you fucking retard. When you copy a file, do you want the actual file or just an approximation of it?

Particle-like electroncs can be used for bit-perfect mapping of 1 electron = 1 bit of information.

>1nm chips
why not 0.5nm chips? there is no holy grail
>fractional electrons
these dont exist. if you split an electron (im not even sure anyone has done this) its no longer an electron. its also impossible to guess how this half electron will behave

>>107990914
>the same number of them would be able to represent more data
how? what data is being represented by a single electron? there are no electron states to read, only if its there or if it isnt
by your logic one electron can represent infinite data because you have spaces where there arent electrons that all have a zero written in them

>things like filesizes [will] become meaningless
impossible, its just impossible to have infinite filesize

Unfixing it by putting something sticky or padded under the button might make it look like I am lying about its initial condition.

I kinda sorta want to keep it since it was an okay deal (?) at 320+30 taxes for 9850H, t1000, 48gib, no ssd, minor wear, fair battery, w/ charger, and good screen, but I guess I don’t really NEED it? I don’t know; either way I will be crying and regretting my decision. If I got a job on the weekends or something, with the amount of time I have spent worrying about this stuff I could have practically gotten it for free by now.
