More Blue Archive characters. These turned out to be quite interesting to write.

>Shun
A tall, kind and mature instructor. She is a 3rd year student and a teacher at a preschool, respected by everyone. The story really likes finding ways of shrinking her back into a 9 year old though, so Shun can also be Shunling for plot conveniences.
https://chub.ai/characters/hairpullguy/sunohara-shun-non-ai-7782cedb553d
https://files.catbox.moe/2lyf26.png

>Kokona
Shun's little sister. She is a prodigy, having been promoted to highschool despite being only 11. On top of that, she is also an instructor for the same little kids that her big sister watches over. Mature for her age but still childish in many ways.
https://chub.ai/characters/hairpullguy/sunohara-kokona-non-ai-f70dd31e2468
https://files.catbox.moe/08siux.png

I have taken the liberty of definiting the two of them as having 'Tanuki' ears. There is no canonical definition for what animal they are supposed to be, so I picked something that I knew the AI would know how it looked.

Why are they dunking on you over at /vg/?
>>
>>107000766
Bias against gacha characters, I assume. Also because I advertise my bots as being high-effort, which invites people to come critique them and say that my prose is no better than AI Slop.
In reality, the 'high-effort' I claim has more to do with making them lore accurate, going over events and story segments in which these characters appeared and writing them with the same language and expressions that the characters used in-game. That's the secret for making them behave like the characters that they are supposed to be.

Every other Blue Archive character card I ever saw on chub was either copy-pasted from wiki definitions or entirely AI generated, often times with kink shit sprinkled in. I wanted something with a little more soul and accuracy, so I had to make these myself.
I'll admit that my intros/starting scenarios aren't great, but the definitions themselves are good.

That's impossible to say since it depends on where you get it. I upgrade whenever I get a new lens/camera that isn't supported by whatever version I'm using. But I also use it professionally, so spending a couple hundred dollars every three or four years isn't that bad. If you wait until Black Friday they have pretty good sales. Or at least have in the past.

Useful archiving efforts and other projects to help out with for people new to and interested in archiving:

HIGH priority (If you don't help archive these automatically, the data will probably be lost forever):

1. http://warrior.archiveteam.org/
Help out automatically archive things being shut down right now by running ArchiveTeam Warrior program (or specific containers) in the background
Requirements: Few GB of space, some bandwidth and small amount of CPU power, more info: https://wiki.archiveteam.org/index.php/ArchiveTeam_Warrior

If you learn that a site or any online data is in danger of shutting down, read through this page and contact ArchiveTeam on their IRC if required in order to have it archived: https://wiki.archiveteam.org/index.php/Projects

2. Help out automatically forward URLs you browse that are not archived on https://archive.org to them for archival with a browser extension
https://github.com/internetarchive/wayback-machine-webextension
>>
MEDIUM priority (Important overall)

3. Seed torrents for as long as possible, rare data forever. Make sure to look up a guide for your router to PORT FORWARD your torrent client port, to substantially increase your upload (and your download) speed. In low population torrent swarms, if no one is port forwarded then you might not be able to connect to each other at all and exchange any data despite having it.
Requirements: As much or as little bandwitdh you want (you can set the limits if you need to)
https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent (Recommended client, especially to replace uTorrent)

4. Archive web pages you want to have a local copy of with a "Web Extension for saving a faithful copy of a complete web page in a single HTML file with a single click"
https://github.com/gildas-lormeau/SingleFile

5. Archive videos with "GUI front-end for youtube-dl, yt-dlp and other compatible video downloaders"
https://github.com/axcore/tartube

6. "Capture or record any area of your screen and share it with a single press of a key"
https://github.com/ShareX/ShareX

Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
>>
8. Publish the data that you have archived that isn't easily or at all available online. You can easily create torrents yourself in your torrent client and then share the magnet link to it anywhere online for anyone to access and, as long as DHT (Distributed Hash Table, decentralized way to share torrents without the need for any specific tracker) is enabled in settings (on by default), your files will be searchable on DHT by DHT crawlers, local or online (for example https://btdig.com/, where you can actually also search for FILE NAMES within all DHT torrents)
(archive.org also creates torrents for all uploads automatically but their torrents shouldn't be relied on because of an error-prone implementation and since they can also break when more files are uploaded or if the item's metadata changes, which includes even getting a new comment on the item)

OTHER useful things:

- In your torrent client settings add the best trackers to be automatically added for all of your newly added torrents (helps more easily connect to peers, especially in obscure torrents)
https://github.com/ngosang/trackerslist

- Look into running a node for I2P (anonymous private network within the global internet)
Requirements: Mostly bandwidth, more info: https://geti2p.net/en/faq
https://geti2p.net/

- Look into running Tor/Hyphanet(Freenet)/IPFS/YaCy/SearXNG nodes

"$UID" will generally give you your actual uid, try echo "$UID"
>>
>>107000754
Yeah, I can find it with echo, it gives me some number.
But I substitute that number on the export command or leave it as $UID and the command will interpret that? Same with the second export command.
>>
>>107000769
in double quotes (") export will substitute that for you just the same as it did with echo. your shell does that substitution before any commands are invoked (these are most likely gonna be builtins in both cases, but the same concept applies)
if you are ever unsure about this slap echo in front of your command and you should see any variable substitutions applied the same way you would if you invoked the actual command
>>
>>107000748
>>107000769
You can run them as-is; $UID and $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR will be substituted automatically when defining the environment variables.

>>107000749
Run those commands in a shell, or you could add them somewhere like /etc/profile or ~/.bash_profile if needed.
>>
>>107000769
so what file are you putting that in? or just exporting them in an interactive shell?

There is no such thing is a SIL4 valve, you combine them to be redundant enough to achieve SIL4 if necessary. And only very specific hazard conditions need to achieve SIL4, like full meltdown prevention or complete loss of containment. Turbine over speed protection usually doesn't need anything about SIL2 for example.

UHDB CLOSURE. PUT ME IN THE NEWS

Dear members,
After 13 incredible years online, we want to inform you that UHDBits.org will permanently close on February 28th, 2026 (GMT 0).
All hosting and operational costs are fully covered until that date, after which the tracker will go offline for good.
This decision was not easy. As a team, we simply no longer have the time to maintain the site and community at the level you all deserve.
For privacy and security reasons, we will not transfer ownership, data, or access to anyone else. The site and all its content will be permanently closed. Protecting your personal information remains our highest priority.
As of today, donations are officially closed. Please do not send any further contributions, all necessary expenses have already been covered until the closure date. We deeply appreciate every single supporter who helped keep UHDBits running throughout the years.
Until the closure date, the entire site will be under global freeleech.
We encourage everyone to download and upload our internal releases to other trackers to help keep the UHDBits legacy alive. Let’s make sure the work and passion of our internal teams continue to be shared and remembered.
We want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for being part of this community. It has been an amazing journey, and we truly hope UHDBits brought you joy, great content, and lasting memories along the way.
We will not recommend or endorse any alternative trackers, it’s entirely up to each of you to decide how to continue from here.
Thank you once again for 13 unforgettable years.
We wish you all the best.
With gratitude,

Ok fine, but for the love of allah at least preserve the metadata and maybe consider exporting torrent comments to a trusted partner site.

I vibecoded some intentionally unoptimized C99 code with plenty of branching to practice refactoring with branchless programming. Trying to get it second nature to be able to write branchless code but also train my intuition to identify cases where NOT rewriting to branchless is better (i.e. the data is predictable so aggregate branch predictor successes will outperform the more consistent branchless operations which avoid prediction misses)
>>
>>107000580
my advice learn to throw your stuff up on cloudflare workers (used to be called pages)
they are very very powerful you can basically do whatever with them and the free tier is generous like 100,000 free "serverless" API calls a day
>Cloudflare Workers has a free plan at $0/mo (100k requests/day) and a paid plan starting at $5/mo ($0.30/million requests/month).
better than using vercel or netlify or nextjs which is a slave of vercel.
use all their tools. supabase is good too for databases. very generous free tier.
also look at all the vibe coders no one thinks are making anything!

A GTX 1050 should be the stopping point for that system.

>Also, today I bought this, so tell where I fucked up:
Probably the AIO and the 9900X.
9900X is for cost-effective workstations; they run like a slightly better 9600X in gaming.

The NicoThing knows it's unwanted here, so it's finding ways to lash out without making things too obvious for the jannies/mods.

Y'know it's interesting how Blahaj has transcended popularity in trans culture. Here it is in a YouTube short with 3.4M views (literally the normie web), yet I've also seen it fondly spoken of in the most insular, schizo, and politically extreme corners of the trans community.

In contrast to the Linux community, where on more socialized parts of the internet Debian is considered a great choice -- and in others you shouldn't even touch certain init systems or sudo with a ten foot pole. There is no introductory or advanced IKEA stuffed animal, it's just Blahaj.

For a group people majorly defined by their commitment to using the internet for large portions of time, I'm surprised the stubborn contrarian stereotype is noticeably absent for this meme.
