Are they retarded? Can't they see the windows market is starving for these?
>>
I think apple are paying them not to make them to be honest

Is there anything more kino than an old motherboard, CPU, or GPU boxes?

Look how crazy gigabyte is with hype and graphs lel, it's so chinky and retarded despite the actual motherboard being high end, nowadays you can buy a low end 4 phase piece of shit board and the box is pretty nice in comparison to the old ones.

I'm still rocking my budget x99 build from 2014 and I have my original motherboard box but its in storage and I don't want to move all the stuff blocking it to get access to the box to take an actual picture of it.
I can still find a review of the motherboard and this guy even dedicated some snippet of talking about the motherboard box design kek, https://thepcenthusiast.com/gigabyte-x99-ud3p-motherboard-review/

It's unfortunately true, I really wish the selection of 990FX motherboards had been better from the beginning, Giga 990FX-UD3 didn't become a beast until revision 4 in 2013, and also AMD not allow 125w chips on 970 motherboards, I have a friend who gave me his FX-8350 rig and went to RYZEN because his computer was randomly freezing, and then I get ahold of it and it's got a 4 phase motherboard trying to run this 125W chip which isn't gonna happen stable, ran it in 6 core mode and it was perfectly fine, but if AMD had locked people with shit motherboards to FX-6300, I think FX would've had a stellar reputation for budget builds, because they were sick when it wasn't throttling.

How the fuck do I get my boomer dad to stop sending me/viewing AI slop?
>ANON LOOK, this cat saved this baby from bear, they're so smart and just like us
>Dad, that's AI, there's the Sora logo right there, Sora is AI
>w-well here's a cat saving a baby from a cougar, no logo, seeeee?
>see the bouncing blur? They edited out the AI logo with shitty AI
>you're no fun! Cats are smart! Stop being cynical!
Don't get me wrong, I love cats, but goddamn why do boomers fall for this shit EVERY time?

Ah, failing to clear customs. Makes sense.

Yes, the chink batteries are worth the $20 is you set your expectations appropriately. Set charge thresholds to protect the weak cells and expect it to drop 20-30% capacity in the first 2 weeks to 3 months. They're not great but they're serviceable. The threat of fire/explosion is way overblown.

Is there any way to change your voice in real time more effectively than VoiceMod? I'm a dungeon master and I use it to give unique voices to NPCs. The simple effects like reverb for a suit of armor, or pitch lowering for a demon are fine, but the actual AI voices kind of suck. They sound artificial and don't replicate the prosody of my speech completely.

There has to be some kind of AI tech that can do these things better at this point, doesn't there?

hint: If you want to detach HEAD at the commit, try again with the --detach option.

>>
>>107001373
My bad. Use `git checkout` instead.

Wrap them in code tags

\[code\]
something like this
\[\code\]

That's probably not going to format right. See /g/'s sticky thread

Well, it got past rpds-py this time, but llvmlite is giving the same error, just with 3.14 now:
RuntimeError: Cannot install on Python version 3.14.0; only versions >=3.7,<3.11 are supported.

In addition to this:
  - Installing numpy (1.23.5): Failed

PEP517 build of a dependency failed

Backend 'setuptools.build_meta:__legacy__' is not available.

Note: This error originates from the build backend, and is likely not a problem with poetry but one of the following issues with numpy (1.23.5)

- not supporting PEP 517 builds
- not specifying PEP 517 build requirements correctly

I uninstalled poetry, uninstalled Python 3.14, and installed Python 3.10 (so it's within the version contraints), reinstalled poetry, and ran
poetry install
. It got much further in the installation, until this error:

Installing the current project: rvc-beta (0.1.0)
Error: The current project could not be installed: No file/folder found for package rvc-beta
If you do not want to install the current project use --no-root.
If you want to use Poetry only for dependency management but not for packaging, you can disable package mode by setting package-mode = false in your pyproject.toml file.
If you did intend to install the current project, you may need to set `packages` in your pyproject.toml file.

Yeah it looks like this has rotted a bit. Numpy updated to 2.0.0 a while ago but it was a real pain to get every up to the next version because everything depends on numpy. So if you want to use numpy 2.0.0 in your project but one dependency has bumped up to 2.0.0 you can't satisfy all the constraints. I guess newer python's no longer support the old build backend used pre 2.0.0.

Dropping to a lower python is the way to go. I looked at the Dockerfile and they are using 3.9. 3.10 may work as well. I got it installed in docker using 3.9. This is my last go because I'm going to sleep:
1. clean up any changes you made
`git restore :/`
2. go back to main
`git checkout main`
3. use the same version of pip they were using
`pip install --upgrade pip==24.0`
4. Install from req file
`pip install -r requirements.txt`
There's a few requirement text files. See the README for which one fits your needs.

It's funny, six years ago I said here that I'd passed a selection process for a job as a civil servant. You said I'd be paid little and that the job wasn't very challenging. For a long time, I listened to your bullshit, but I see I made the right decision. While you're tearing your hair out, wondering if you'll have a job in a year or two, I'm here enjoying a good, lifelong position that I can only be fired for if I mess up really badly.

I don't mind the low salary; it's enough to pay my bills. At least I won't have to go hungry when the lean times come.

It's basically a department within the Ministry of Health. The current module I'm working on is a rewrite of a very old COBOL system that we're gradually rewriting in C#. The system handles general queues. We manage queues for blood donations, organ donations, surgeries, and so on. We have a single healthcare system, so even private hospitals need to integrate with our platform.

The case is huge, needlessly so, whenever I take it apart I'm always left in awe of how much is used for nothing, just empty space.
Being cheap plastic, it cracks and bends, plus looks cheap (nothing wrong with that, but I'd like smomething that feels nicer.
Loudness is not a problem, I don't mind how loud it its.
I guess it comes down to trying something new.
Typing this I also come to realize that I could just make a case for the existing keyboard and keep the pcb and switches intact...
>>
>>107001436
>>107001413
My bad I didn't read the whole thing. What I'd do is:

https://oblotzky.industries/products/gmk-cyl-norde
Spend 90% of the budget on good double-shot keycaps where the legends won't fade with use (you can always re-use them on your next keyboard if this one doesn't last)

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008107811733.html
Replacement switches.

Either solder in all new switches across the whole board, or just as-needed on switches that are failing.

I wouldn't try to fix broken switches, because there's absolutely no way that saving the 40 cents per switch is worth the headache.
>>
>>107001487
If it's that bad, maybe it's worth it to get a new keyboard, but there aren't good options for ISO layout.

Keychrons are OK for clickies if you take all the foam out, but buying the clickies separately it becomes a bit expensive. That said I do have a V6 max with Gateron Melodic clickies, and I like it. But with what I spent on switches and keycaps it was not a $100 keyboard anymore.

Varmilo has some ISO-DE boards but they're a bit expensive and none of them are offered with clickies.

Filco still makes boards in a way that sounds proper with clickies (big empty plastic is the way to go), but everything they offer is ANSI-only.
