>youtube suddenly adds automatic AI dubbing in videos>they all sound indian in every languageI have had enough
>>106998084link 3 videos
>>106998084>they all sound indian in every languageSeriously? Everybody thought it would free us from the indians' unbearable accent and instead it gives an indian accent to all languages?Well, knowing that the dev were probably indians themselves, it makes sense in the end. This is so 2025... I don't know if I must laugh or cry...
>>106998773as per usual they wont because its just manufactured reality ragebait
and another one >>106972280
>>106998084In the dubbed videos I watched the dub is surprisingly good and doesn't sound indian at all (I still hate it ofc). Maybe they're doing more A/B testing with different dub accents. It would actually be a great idea if YT started auto dubbing videos from Indians to proper English

Should I just go for the biggest number when looking at CPUs?I want to buy a t14 thinkpad. There's an AMD Ryzen 5 4650U going for cheap, but that I will probably have to buy a bigger SSD for. On the other hand, there's another one with an intel i7 10510U for around a 100~ bucks more.My question is, is there any reason why choosing the i7 would be a bad idea on the long run?
>>107000547ur concerned about 100 bucks?
>>106999682If the form factor is compatible then yeah, your trouble is gonna be with the different OS. If it's linux it should probably work except if you need to set up extra drivers that the desktop doesn't have installed, though if it's not an autistic distribution it might work just fineIf it's windows it will probably complain a lot idk how that worksIf all important stuff isn't on the drive you can always wipe it and throw on your favourite distro for the next two days
>>107000547Generally, at the same generation the AMD cpus have been better for both performance and battery lifeI don't remember what all the model numbers mean, but if the intel one is newer than the AMD one then it might be betterChecking some benchmarks though it seems like the amd one is generally more powerful https://www.notebookcheck.net/i7-10510U-vs-R5-PRO-4650U_11457_12193.247596.0.html
Got NAS meme'd into buying an Ubiquiti Pro Nas, suggestions what to do with it?Can I somehow run it as cloud service or something and allow direct linking to images maybe? Also how come everyone jumping on Linux when it seems like the whole thing is ran by trannies?

>Affinity pulled the ability to purchase its software>their website just directs you to sign up for some marketing buzzeword like "be the first one to know" "Creative Freedom Is Coming" "see the future first>they also shut down the official forums and pushed everyone to a discord>Affinity was bought by Canva in 2024 and people have been speculating that it will move to subscription modelSo we're back again to just fucking GIMP, huh?Adobe won I guess.
>>107000512It would unironically be worth trying. I just don't see it happening anytime soon.
>>106998079It would be hilarious if they made it a subscription only-service. If that happens, it would be a death sentence for Serif and their products because why bother subscribing to their service when they can just subscribe to Adobe? What's the point?

What do you think about using this for video conferencing?
>>106998943You make a good point, in any case you can be mocked
a shotgun mic would be a better option
>>106998631>video conferencing>dynamic micNot needed since all the major services have decent noise cancelling. A cheaper condenser mic like the MV5 or an Elgato Wave Neo can have good quality without requiring the mic be placed half an inch from your mouth, and therefor in the video. Which puts you into podcast larper territory, as anon already mentioned.
>>106998631Been using the embedded mic on this, and it works great for conferences and vydia chat. It comes with a camera, too, btw.
>>106999319There's so many solutions for capturing voice like that. Having a mic in the shot is amateur.

I am still on windows 7
>>106999003simplix is Ukrianian troonware (just visit simplix.info and it will become immediately obvious)I used to use it for integrating usb and nvme drivers into the ISO, but I stopped recently because all the useless updoots it adds along the way bloat up the install. All you need is Service Pack 1 + SHA2 update (KB4474419) + Platform update (KB2670838) + D3DCompiler update (KB4019990) + DllDirectory update (KB2533623). I've found that all the other updates are basically unnecessary, and if you install all of them then you'll probably accidentally install the telemetry updates as well. And then if you accidentally install the telemetry update you need to go into Services and disable "Diagnostic Tracking Service". I'd rather not have it installed in the first place.
I got windows 7 running in a qube. It seems to be running properly it's just that using it fucking sucks because nothing works. It won't even let me install Tor browser because it says it doesn't work with Windows 7. I'm already pissed off and fed up with this compatibility nightmare. >>107000209cant you just make a new one?
>>106999243How can you revert its changes easily? Does it give you a log for what it's changed? These are my main concerns when using it. It seems like it can just change random shit since it has access to all files, and you wouldn't even know about it.
