>Google is continuing to slowly tease its rumored plans to bring Android to PCs, merging it with ChromeOS, and now Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon is getting in on the action. He says he’s seen a version of the software, and that he “can’t wait to have one.”https://www.theverge.com/news/784381/qualcomm-ceo-seen-googles-android-pc-merger-incredibleIt's happening next year and Google will take over the Linux space with their distro. Windows will finally have a Linux-based alternative that doesn't suck and people will flock to it from Windows and thus, many Linux distros will see no point in trying to compete with Google and just GIVE UP. Which distros and DE's will fall as soon as Google builds the OS that Linux developers should have made a decade ago?I predict: >Xfeces DE will die>Elementary OS will die>Zorin OS will die>Manjaro and all Arch-fronts will die>MX Linux will dieComment too long. why not look for job in esports? esports guys are more gamedevs and more techworkers than any gamedevs and any techworkers ever will.the environment is not sterile at all and you can be edgy as much as you like. I just got refurbished T495s to replace L380. It was all good till I turned it on. It has the shittiest screen I have ever seen on laptop. It's HD but colors are super washed out and I could still live with that but screen is also dim as fuck, you pretty much have to run it at 100% all the time and outdoors just forget about it. What are my options regarding screen?
T480s or X13.. what would be best for a thinkpad noob?Just need it for class, nothing too major

I bought a T480 as you guys told me a while ago and it works great, I love it. Thank you.

lol, lmaohttps://www.headphonesty.com/2025/10/audiophiles-budget-vs-highend-turntable-blind-test/>In 2022, an AVS Forum member known as m. zillch ran a blind listening test that has resurfaced in 2025 amid fresh debates over whether high-end vinyl gear is truly worth it.>In this test, he wanted to see if people could tell the difference between two turntable systems. One of which cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, and another was worth less than a basic dinner out.>When all votes were counted, 58.3% of 60 participants picked Turntable A as the half-million-dollar rig. But, they were wrong. Turntable A was the $78 Acoustic Research AR-XA, while Turntable B, chosen correctly by only 41.7%, was the ultra-luxury TechDAS Air Force Zero setup.

Those people never target regular people, because its not profitable. Welcome to the 4chan /g/ Usenet General Thread!>What is /usenet/?Open standard protocols still exist and are what the internet was built on (http, irc, rss, ftp, etc). Not owned by corpos, not under govt control, and are accessible to anyone with an internet connection. They simply exist to be built upon and enjoyed by all. Some, like FTP are outdated and insecure. Others, like rss, irc, http, usenet are still glorious and wonderful open standards. Join us and discuss such topics on one such protocol: NNTP, aka usenet.>WTF IS USENETLiterally it means the Users Network. It’s an open protocol for posting and reading messages, organized by newsgroups. It's entirely decentralized, no single server, impossible to take down.Today it is split between, binaries and text. The binaries part is what it’s known for today: piracy. The text part is forgotten and abandoned, until now.>WHY POST ON USENETIt's open protocol, you can use any client you want or build you own. No costs, no subscriptions, no money. You can sign up through your ISP, or through eternal-september.org. Then you just need to install a client.>THIS IS OLDER THAN MY DAD. WHY TF WOULD I DO THIS?Comment too long. Click here to view the full text.
Does eternal-september ban you when they see that you entered a pseudonym and not a real name? (just hypothetically, practically there is no way of finding out, I think)
