Eric has failed us, he has literally one job, and that is to provide 25 puzzles, per year, on schedule. Now it's only a 12 day challenge, how can you even call that "advent" of code, which is supposed to count down to Christmas. I am outraged, and you should be too. What if Santa's elves just decided to stop making half the toys??? Ridiculous. >Also, starting this year, there will be 12 days of puzzles each December.>Why did the number of days per event change? It takes a ton of my free time every year to run Advent of Code, and building the puzzles accounts for the majority of that time. After keeping a consistent schedule for ten years(!), I needed a change. The puzzles still start on December 1st so that the day numbers make sense (Day 1 = Dec 1), and puzzles come out every day (ending mid-December).

I've discovered a lot of cool but forgotten B-tier games I never would have played like this.My main tower also has a dual hard drive hotswap bay, a multi card reader and USB expansion, and one of those cheap plastic drawers which I use to store thumb drives, SD cards, and USB cables. I hope everybody responsible for 5.25 inch bays going out of fashion dies very soon.

I've even seen doctors use it for client interactions. I hope it continues getting more normal and doesn't blow up like some other 'private' email services.
>>106996310only dkim, spf and dmarc. but only for sending mails. stalwart automatically set them up for you, you only have to set the corresponding dns records. they're only certs and additional verification that tells other mail server that all mail coming from domain.com must come from a selected list of ips to prevent fraud.
It's one of the rare email services that doesn't rely on another email service when signing up. No joke, you make a hotmail account and I couldn't fucking login to it without using the backup email address to accept MFA tokens. Fuck that noise. Also yes, more people should self host email. It should be normalized that people just host their own email servers and that's how people communicate. Throw one up on a used $20 Pi from ebay and take a backup every week. Setting up all the security things is the easy part. The hard part is keeping your IP out of bad lists. A cheap VPS might also be an option.

The base model iPhone 17 A19 is very capable. The iPhone 17 Pro has the A19 Pro and today I tested Gemini AI on it which was running faster than my S25 Ultra doing the same image generation on Gemini. Smartphones are so fast now!
Can't believe this is the OnePlus 15 Geekbench results, but it's confirmed.
I'm going to buy my very first smartphone (to simultaneously replace my Nokia C2-01 from 2011, Nexus 7 2013 used as an e-reader and Sansa Clip+) and right now I'm picking between Motorola Moto G85 12/256 and Edge 50 Fusion 12/512. Is there a reason to pay ~$120 more for the latter (aside from bigger storage, IP68, which is nice to have but not critical, and seemingly newer SoC)? Also, since it seems that everyone are so eager to get rid of 3.5 mm jack (which totally sucks: I had to repair/replace micro-USB ports on my previous devices multiple times, but not once a 3.5 one, even though it had been in use much more often), should I also get a USB DAC?

why dont other DEs have this?this is absolutely necessary for a laptop so you can use it in tiling on the go and nontiling when running it docked/with multiple screens and a mouse.i keep going back to check out cosmic because of this feature but cosmic still crashes and leaks memory so its still not good enough for prime time but the moment it's stable im switching. why the fuck dont gnome/kde/cinnamon have this?
This is basically a tiling wm except with wasted space everywhere, but I'm not judging.I purposefully use dwm with desktop icons, I dedicate the first workspace as empty so I can look at them, some people would call this an abomination.

I just ordered this gaming PC. What am I in for?
>>106994181Look, heres the point. You bought a PC, which according to the ad, doesn't actually tell you much about the PC at all. A ryzen 5? Is that a 1400 or 9600? So where in between? "4gb graphics"? You don't even know what manufacturer that is. This is similar for everything it's advertising If your are just lay person and don't care, then I guess whatever, but I read articles of people getting essentially scammed like this, because they see an ad that is true, but gives them so little information about the actual versions of what they are getting, and it turns out to be junk from a decade ago.
