FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.

irm https://get.activated.win | iex

>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

That entirely depends on what you need it for. It's obviously very inconvenient if you must switch from one to the other frequently.

Do you have the steam udev package installed? It should be something like steam-udev-rules. It comes with a bunch of udev rules for gamepads and bascally gamepads wont work properly on linux without t.

What distro should I install on this old thinkpad I have from 10 years ago? I’m just looking to use it as a Linux lab of sorts, fucking around with systems stuff like QEMU, initrds, custom kernel modules, networking, PXE, etc. Not sure if any one distro is better than another for this purpose but basically looking for something lightweight and will work well with my old hardware, just werks as I’m not a ricer but rather using this to learn about system internals, and also not locked down in annoying ways that will make it more difficult to play with the stuff I want

>weird how smart engineers always need a dumbass visionary to make them useful
I wouldn't say it's always, but the problem with engineers is that they overestimate their importance and don't take the time to foster relationships with people. If you're not capable of effectively communicating with the common man, then you'll always be shit at business dealings. Elon is an outlier in all regards though. You can try to shit on him for doing or saying dumb things from time to time, but he is more capable than most people on the planet and he certainly knows more about tech/science than your average CEO.

Compare the delta between core temp and hotspot temp. If it's greater than 15C it's a cooling issue.

the syntax is clunky as hell: retarded keywords, retarded assignments and assignment operator, no UFCS, has to write the type twice in some cases
no metaproamming or compile time execution
no proper modules and module parameters
primitive type system, no type inference
those alone disqualifies it as modern and ergonomic

Wow, "brainlet" was accurate.

I hate this lack of clarity in exporting semantics. Instead of a formal method, we use an uppercase or lowercase letter which is difficult to distinguish, but Go has more important issues.

google was asking me for phone number to make account. so i asked kevin the russian hacker if i can have one of his accounts and he said yes. so he gave it to me, and a month after i used it he "trolled" me by logging me out and changing everything. however his samsung got ratelimited so i was able to add 2fa before he was able to lock me out fully. now the thing is 2fa required a phone number, so the real stupid nigga is me because i couldve just made a new account with the phone number
in the end he only deleted my claude account because that was on another account. well i can live with that
