>>106972862Cope. Those are the most common boards available today and anyone can find at least one solid board from those that I listed. Most boards are foamslop anyway, at least with a list you can avoid Meletrix or completely random sounding brands like YOOZU or SZAPP
>>106972868I know this nuance is completely lost on some of you idiots but being manufactured in China is not what makes something Chinese. This push mower is made in China. It is made to an exact specification for an American seller, based on an old American mower design; the seller rigorously inspects it for QC to ensure it meets the spec. If you've ever used one, you notice its distinctly American character, made for the sensibilities of a certain kind of American merchant and American consumer. It is heavy, robust, utilitarian-looking, and requires some maintenance by the owner. It is, in almost every sense, an American product. But it is Made in China. The degree to which a product is Chinese is the degree to which it embodies a Chinese sensibility because of the Chinese involvement in decision-making about the product. This is on a spectrum:Chinese-designed product for the Chinese market >>> Chinese-designed product for a western market >>> American-designed product with broad leeway for the Chinese manufacturer to implement the design >>> Tightly-specified American design that nonetheless leaves QC/etc to the manufacturer >>> Full tight control of design, materials, QC, etc by a non-Chinese party using a Chinese manufacturer >>> Products designed and manufactured outside of China

Actually fonts have a lot of science that go into them, they're quire incredible.Berkely Mono - Amazing (Pay to win)Consolas - Best(Free)Verdana - Best(Free)Edges are easier to perceive to humans, so fonts are designed with this in mind.Fonts actually store the method that was used to draw the character so it can be resized *precisely*.A regular resize function doesn't work so well.A lot of tech and science goes into these.

It sounds very complicated and expensive and you can just do it yourselfWhy do so many companies pay for this?
>>106967966Same reason why everyone with a house doesnt have a solar panel on their roof generating free energy. Upfront cost. Everyone knows there's upfront cost, but what they dont want to or cant seem to get past is to simply take out a loan on the payment and make it a monthly payment. This makes the montly payment of ownership of solar cost the same or less than monthly electrical cost from utility power station.
>>106967966>>106968072Cloud made a lot more sense in the CPU Dark Ages where AMD was a nonfactor and buying more Intel cores was brutally expensive. Stitching a bunch of cheap rented disposable VMs together really could save you buckets of money. The whole reason Amazon invented those tools internally was to save themselves money relative to buying enormous servers and "minicomputers" from proprietary unix vendors with a swarm of x86 Linux servers, and then they had excess capacity to sell externally. Now of course it's actually super easy to run your stuff at home on manycore machines with NVMe drives, and DHH is basically doing the business version of that.

>>106973163Almost no one goes from 1000 users to 1,000,000 users overnight. Most businesses in fact grow predictably year over year. And if your business is exploding, customers don't give a fuck if your site crashes or is slow and there's numerous case studies proving it. People will wait out the door in a blizzard if your business is popular but some nerds are paying 100% tax on cloud scalability.

Obvious bug with Debian 13 + Xfce not showing the Ceratopsian theme. I installed through the installer (tasksel) so it would've included the desktop themes for current and past releases. For some reason it shows Xfce's default wallpaper instead.
>>106972855It's not really good, but there's nothing wrong if you choose to use it over better options like flatpak and appimage.
>>106973049Enjoy your systemd then. This shows the mirror status that Debian and other distros may use. I always check here first before proceeding in the installer in case something is down. If you select deb.debian.org it goes through a Fastly CDN but may not always pick a fast mirror.https://mirror-master.debian.org/status/mirror-status.html
