I fell for the "upgrade later" meme so I only go 2x16 GB of DDR5 early 2025, thinking I was going to get 2x32 GB sometime the next year. Guess not.

4K is the trap.
1080 is more than enough.

For non-gaming or workstation, something from 20 years ago is more than enough.

Same. Accessing [] and {} is so fucking painful on a Finnish layout.
Either I have to do some retarded finger gymnastics or I have to cross my hands :D
For those who don't know you have to press alt gr + 7890 to type those characters.
On top of that you lose the right alt key which makes a lot of key combos really annoying to press.
Whoever came up with this needs to be shot.

works in my datacenter...
all the three manufacturers have the same defect rates overall, some serials are known to have slightly higher defects especially on particular capacities like above 28TB or with hamr but that's about it, it's usually easy to id and avoid them.

>>107728534
high-capacity datacenter hdd have a special noise they make every 5seconds (no, not the zfs 5s write), it's called preventive wear leveler and iut's a known thing in the dc world but I've seen many average coomsumers thinking their hdd was broken because of it.

I (we at work) have more issues with wd drives desu and it's getting worse with time, I don't know what's happening at this company but it really looks like they're giving up on making good stuff, it would not surprise me if wd sells itself and kills the wd brand.

You guys really disappoint me with your copypasted setups. Failure of imagination: the thread.

Here's what peak performance actually looks like. blue cable goes to the stationary pc for grafix heavy stuff(i don't use cases, they actually increase dust accumulation and noise). I'm typing right now cross-legged with my right foot on that chair. Laptop support may look flimsy(yes it's just 2 small cardboard boxes), but it's actually reinforced with superglue and duct tape. I like to be able to curl up into a ball or lie on my chairs and to move the laptop around freely.

Anyone has a more dynamic setup than mine?

not as a main 'chair' but for a few hours a day it's a blessing.

This thread is dedicated to KurobaEX-dev, which operates as a deliberately specialized digital interface, architected to facilitate the structured navigation, interactive engagement, and cognitive consumption of web-hosted content originating from the online platform formally designated as 4chan on a multifunctional, sensor-equipped, cellular-connected handheld computing device. OK?

Grok is good at general data analyzing, especially with regards to current events and news. Bought WEKT Lucy R5 switches for a board I'm building for a friend. The factory lube seems pretty good, but in my experience sometimes switches seem good at first then get gummy with a little bit of use. I'm wondering whether I should de-lube them all, break them properly in over a few months of heavy use, then re-lube lightly with tribosys. Is that likely to make them better? Or worse?

The last time I broke in dry switches and lubed them myself was Gateron KS-3x47s for my brother and he thinks they're just the bee's knees, any time he tries anything else he insists it's scratchy and awful and immediately goes back to the Gaterons. And I know all my MX Browns that I've done myself feel pretty good to type on. So I don't know why I'm so unsure of myself here.
>>
>>107728763
Just use them if they feel good right now. You can tinker around later if it becomes noticeably worse. And your brother is based as fuck for being a Milky Yellow WHORE, fuck Cherry.

bro, just get Windows Professional and debloat it with a combination of gpedit.msc and regedit. it is really not hard. just strip it down until it is basically windows server. each iteration of windows I am basically debloating it and cannot even notice the difference. Its all basically Windows XP with a new kernel, and every iteration since then is the same shit with jeet diarrhea dribbled ontop, easily removed wiped off with a babywipe and some WD40.
Yeah I have RHEL on dual-boot with GRUB as the bootloader just in case Microshit tries to box me in, but that hasn't happened yet.
