Currently have some old audio system from like 2000s. Worth roughly from ~50-300eur hard to tell they don't sell these no more. Thinking of spending ~1-1.5k on new speakers and amp. People who trew money at it - was it worth it ?

In 2025 it means the median and nigger filled streets of America where nearly every major city has a black mayor with crumbling infrastructure and a lack of clean drinking water. Where the streets look like a Kenyan goat path and the bridges are collapsing. Where the education system is so dysfunctional that graduates are barely literate. Where niggers freely murder white women and they don’t get lynched. That’s third world America

Windows 10 shuts down for good on the 14th You have 3 days to get your affairs in order
Are the win 10 installation servers being taken offline? Can the iot ltsc version be installed after the regular version is abandoned?
I guess I'm going to have to throw my perfectly good computer into an unregulated landfill in two days because Satya Nadella says so.
>>106867286I used the Windows 11 Installation Assistant. Easy as fuck and you keep all data/apps by default instead of having to choose the option from the regular update menu.

I am going mad over sites who keep buffering. Is there a way to force them to load the whole movie instead of piece by piece?
>>106868364I am on opera btw
Youtube added something like a month ago that makes it so that a big ass pause and play button appears in the middle of the screen and stays there for about three seconds whenever you pause/play the video by pressing the 'k' key or the space bar. Is there any workaround for this? I haven't found a plugin to fix it.

Everyone knows that if we load our BIOS incorrectly, our computer will be bricked. So why don't we have access to the very first input that ultimately loads the boot sequence?Shouldn't our computer give us the option to display a blinking cursor after powering on, waiting for our first input?
>>106866795The BIOS (UEFI nowadays) no longer just boots into your OS. There's tons of hardware initialization it has to do, the chipset itself is it's own SoC with a really complex setup. Then you got stuff inside your CPU, usually something like the intel management engine or TPM or PSP or a billion other things that all need their firmware blobs before the actual CPU ever gets to run its first instruction. It's a gigantic, proprietary mess all stacked on top of the old mess, because engineers don't get paid to clean up old code, they get paid to ship new product.
>>106868034The bigger reason old shit doesn't get cleaned up is backwards compatibility. As you said a PC is an incredibly complex system and getting everyone involved in the manufacture to adopt new standards and implement them correctly takes time, so everyone also leaves backwards compatibility in their shit to make sure their stuff still works with laggards.
