>>107858478which /jp/ general? nice work!
>>107859630There's a 2hu AI general on /jp/. Anons post AI images, videos, LLM stuff, called 2huAI I think? Yes, /2huAI/!
Pay no attention to the false flagger, thank youits some ghoul that previously tried this shit on fucking Christmas
Yeah, probably. If you don’t mention the general you came or the board, we’re all good. Thank you.
I fucking wish Ubuntu was good. It just doesn't work for gaming because of snaps.
Why do you even want to use Ubuntu
It breaks for me any time I try to put something other than gnome on it so I gave up and eventually settled on Arch.
>>107852834>Ubuntu
>>107852834You need to be employed to understand Ubuntu hence why /g/ hates it
>>107859774Irrational fear of breakage makes no sense in the age of limine and btrfs snapshots I'd be more worried about everything being replaced by rust
You should close browser tabs when you're done with them. If you want to quickly get back to where you were, there is a separate technology for that: bookmarks.
>>107859755Anon, close your tabs. All of them.
>>107857865this
>>1078578334chan-XT was is and still is malware made for low iq anons to install who liked the real 4chanX. Also the "thread watcher" feature is default feature on 4chan that works without 4chan-XT spyware or 4chanX.
>>107857865Maybe for retards low iq anons who put 10k tabs there every day and never do anything useful. I only save things I actually want to continue or see later and I remove them immediately after not needing them anymore. I have permanent used bookmarks including large folders of bookmarks I use everyday, then I put inside the "Other Bookmarks" that is a buffer I go through every day and delete after.
I have hundreds of tabs open on my phone from years ago because I'm a hoarder and I don't want to lose all the porn videos I like by forgetting about them in my thousands and thousands of bookmarks
I am self-taught; I tinker until it works. I want to become a proper programmer. Is roadmap.sh reasonable? Is this meme shit?
>>107858940>data structures>design [anti]patterns>systems design>databasesall you need
you don't grind these things you build something and learn about it and then try to find its flaws. This roadmap bullshit is jeet core because they think there has to be a easy way to solve things. Its garbage.
>>107858892why is rust's rectangle bigger than the others?
>>107859025Bingo
>>107858892I used it when i was trying to get into a devops position. I think its useful to give you some structure and an idea of what things you should learn, but you dont need to follow the order. I am a dog shit programmer but i jumped right to learning k8s and got a job from there. I think a lot of the compsci stuff would help, e.g. learning math well so you can break a problem down logically, but it is kind of jeet-tier because they can only think in terms of "how do i get to x fastest"

>>107859732Because pushing back and resizing a vector can be slow and may cause my program to stutter, if the vector is big. I believe that's the most common reason for stutter on my game.
>>107858607retarded
>>107859763Are you making a DOS game on a 486? If not, forget about this nonsense and attach a profiler to it.I am genuinely curious as to how you got from "hmm maybe I need to resize this less often" to "better fuck up my packed array with some useless NaNs".
>>107859846Sounds like he has a mental illness
>>107859846That's how I got rid of a stutter once. I was creating vectors of vectors of integers every frame for the tilemap system. Then the program would stutter every time I crossed the edge of a tile block. To fix that, I allocate a few blocks worth of data and reuse them every frame now.Anyway, the NaNs thing was a brainfart. I could just make a vector of structs and reserve at the beggining. My bad.

How come American companies can't innovate like this? We can't even afford ram because of Trump meanwhile their ram is 2/3rds cheaper than what prices were in America before tarrifs.

Which is the true neo-schizoomer's language of choice?
odin until jai comes out, andrew kelley is too gay to take seriously
>>107859428Neither. Odin is made by an obnoxious old brit who wears a suit. Zig is made by a boring rich libtard from Seattle. These are languages created by single people, so they are inevitably kind of personality cults. No self respecting schizo zoomer would join a cult of personality around people like that.Jai used to be peak young schizo aesthetic because of how jblow used to hate everyone and only cared about games and art over corposlop. Nowadays he's softened up a lot, but I still think it's a good candidate. Especially if you're not in the beta and you use a leaked version, I'd say that's pretty hardcore. But overall the only good schizo languages are still things like lisp, C or HolyC.

What is better: a 14" or a 16" MacBook Pro? I can't decide. It's unironically too difficult to decide. On one hand, I would prefer the larger display, on the other hand I use my laptop exclusively when I can't use my PC to do something, which means I need a laptop for use around the house and carry it outside first and foremost. I absolutely do not want to use an external monitor almost ever though.

can this run PS2 emulators or is there something better/cheaper?I mainly need a cheap windows laptop to run some windows software that doesn't exist on other platforms and isnt emulatable, but ps2 emulation would be nice.

>>107856384I'm using it for more than a decade now.The only thing I'm missing is more optimized packages: x86_64_v3, LTO, PBO would be great.

the package manager is written in Rust.
>>107856384It's great. It has a ton of packages compared with Arch's official repository and it's easy to build things from source if needed. I don't need their community so it's not a problem. Services are also simple enough for LLMs to make for you from systemd service information. I've been on it for nearly a decade with almost zero issues. It's the "endgame" for me.>>107858742No it isn't
>>107856638>white communistsjust call them trannies, bro
How come my LED light bulb dies after turning on 50k times but the LED on a LAN port blinks 5 times per second for 30 years?
>>107855625>poltarddoesn't even mean anything anymoreeveryone hates trannies, EVERYONEit's universalthey're repugnant and disgusting
>>107855589It's not overdriven and it never gets hot.One of the big problems with LED bulbs is precisely that they are bulbs, the legacy form factor is unsuited for the technology. You should upgrade your lamps if possible - new ceiling lamps for LEDs have an opening above the bulb for ventilation.
>>107855589Manufacturer logic is driving LEDs 5x harder for an extra 10% light output, instead of just adding another few LEDs and running everything cool and efficient. There's no reason modern LED bulbs couldn't last decades other than greed.

>>107856003>Great question!
Please stop enticing China with advanced technologies. They need to be able to domestically refine what they have if we are to have any cheap alternatives.
>>107859604That's my point. i'm simply calling for a total embargo on our machine tools, five axis cnc machines, anything to do with litho and microchips and other western magic. In about five years we'll have affordable things.
