I wish I built a computer in 2019. I'd be happy with a 2070 today, and I could make it last. I think I'm going to be stuck on my toaster for the rest of my life at this rate.

And if it's the former, where are they even located?
>>
>>107727777
libraries. you need them. they're seperate because either someone else packages it or that they're trying to reduce the flatpak size by introducing a reusable component that other flatpaks can use/share.

>1440p screen
>1080p youtube video
>the player at 100% scale, not maximized is 1840x1035

This shit should be criminal.
On a 1080p screen the size should be 1280x720 so 720p isn't scaled, and on 1440p it should default to 1920x1080 so 1080p is crisp and not scaled. There's room. This is shit design. Sabotage even.

Is there any workaround to force youtube on youtube.com (not in some external viewer) to be resized to 1:1 size if it fits or common resolutions instead of these absurd bullshit sizes like 1840x1035?

Im tired of being spied on and tracked by and taken advantage of by glowniggers, i just want to be able to speak my mind and not have to pretend to be some gay ass freak faggot just to make everyone feel fine and happy while not setting off any alarms. It used to be freenet or i2p where you could do that but im not so sure now.

D is such a cool language. I am having a lot of fun writing my new hobby project in it. It's not corporate-dictated, memory-safe with an easy opt-out when needed, and retains all the cool features from C++.

Such a disgrace it never got popular and instead we got an obstructionist language with a nonsense syntax and a brutally slow compiler.

>>
>>107728228
Yes it absolutely does. I use it for big buck commercial software. D's biggest problem is it is very bad at cheerleading itself and selling it to people who unfortunately get steered to Rust or Go or Zig instead. It literally is the best language you're not using. The metaprogramming and reflection capabilities are off the absolute chain and it is syntactically a million times cleaner and more elegant than any alternative. It also natively imports and links against C. Got a C library? Congrats, you have a D library.
>>
>>107728228
>all the cool features from C++
So function overloading, the auto keyword, and lambdas?
Sounds like a shit language (just like C++)
>>
>>107728373
All implemented better than C++. D mogs C++ so hard it's unreal.
>>
>>107728379
Think of it as c++ without the pozz and backwards compatibility with plain C that doesn't feel like you dumped that shit on top of it without any care.
>>
>>107728373
Let me see: templates, compile-time expressions, RAII (in D as an opt-in thought), multi-paradigm support, ranges. Quite a few with many others not listed, and D adds more to it.

Sponsored by the US of A, which throws trillions into AI companies, just for them to publish their AIs with a net-negative.
You just have to get some residential proxies for free subscriptions and you are good.

This youtube channel should be an inspiration for all of us.

Literally who cares dude
Personally mobile 4chan isn't something I'd ever consider in the first place, but part of me still understands the type of person who would install an app so they can post while shitting. I don't agree with that but I empathize with it. But treating it like the end of the world that a mobile app for 4chan stopped working is something I can't even wrap my head around, it's so bizarre and surreal that this thread is real, and that there are apparently so many of you.

bro, just get Windows Professional and debloat it with a combination of gpedit.msc and regedit. it is really not hard. just strip it down until it is basically windows server. each iteration of windows I am basically debloating it and cannot even notice the difference. Its all basically Windows XP with a new kernel, and every iteration since then is the same shit with jeet diarrhea dribbled ontop, easily removed wiped off with a babywipe and some WD40.
Yeah I have RHEL on dual-boot with GRUB as the bootloader just in case Microshit tries to box me in, but that hasn't happened yet.

A decent PC VGA monitor is 100% capable of achieving this, but it usually fucks the natural gamma curve pretty badly. However, this is fairly trivial to compensate for with calibration, specifically the gamma LUTs every GPU has. But you cannot use just the basic gamma correction curve (this white crushes instead), you need a very specific curve for this; what I've drawn in picrel.
If you were to calibrate your black-crushed CRT with a colorimeter, you'd get a curve like this. You'll note it's fairly trivial to generate this curve algorithmically. Simplest way to generate it is to offset the zero-point of the linear part by some amount, and then just roll it to zero near black. This achieves similar if not better results than a colorimeter, just tune the two parameters (linear-black, roll-end) to your liking.

Here's an X11 program that implements the black rolling, use xcalib first to elevate your gamma blackpoint.
