People always make fun of air coolers. Is it because it is deprecated technology?

>240hz to 480hz continuous bullshit that you cannot block unless
This is not a problem with a well built liquid cooled system. nigga i have a 360 AIO and one intake fan, all is cool and whisper quiet for me during my daily /shitposting/ regimen.
>>
>>107887160
>Sure but having a system that runs quietly is always the goal
Nah not for me. Don't give a damn what my pc sounds like as long as it's not due to hardware failure.
I set my fan curves for everything well within the audible range, my case alone is blowing a storm through my components.
For me it's just win win. Fan sound (I keep a fan on at home 24/7 anyway for the noise) and keeps everything cool.
>>
>>107886465
LN2 is only good for chilling stuff, but it has terrible thermal capacity. It will rapidly evaporate and you have to deal with condensation. There's a reason why it is only used for suicide runs.
>>
>>107888177
Nah, Thermalrights will work fine outside of drastic change to form factor of desktop CPUs. Noctua units face the same dilemma as well.
The only reason Noctua lasted so long is that form factor for desktop CPU remained pretty much the same for that period of time.
>>
>>107888945
Real liquid cooling needs 3m Flourinert.

At what point does the syntax become so terrible that its simply not worth using the language no matter the benefits it might have under the hood? Because c# is the most disgusting shit ive ever seen in my life. Why would they call it "c#"? It doesnt seem similar to c in any way. I mean to be honest the only thing ive ever done with it is write hello world then immediately rage deleted .NET off my system because the syntax disgusted me so much. Whats confusing to me is knowing that many people have actually kepy using the lang after that point. Whats the worst syntax youve ever seen?

The non function chaining version would be 10x the size and complexity.
You don't have to use function chaining if you don't want to anyway.
>>
>>107888342
I use Java and I have never once in my professional life written the main method manually.
There are instances, though, where I just don't use a feature because the syntax is annoying.
For example, I don't use the final modifier for local variables even if I don't intend on modifying them.
In Kotlin I would default to val, but in Java I'd have to clutter my code with final everywhere which I'm just not gonna do.
I simply can't remember ever having a bug that would have been prevented by this, so it's okay.
On another note I find C++ style syntax incredibly ugly.
>>
>>107889001
>modifying
*reassign. you can still modify final objects.

it's not that there are restrictions but about how limiting they are. I don't live in a rural area so what range could I get with EU restrictions? like 2 km? I just looked it up and there is a higher power band but it fits only 1 channel meaning you are gonna be contesting with everyone else

DHCPv6 PD is crap anyway. I just statically assign prefixes if I need a dedicated prefix (apart from Docker, nothing needs its own prefix)

They still depend on host libc unless they were statically compiled. Try and use an AppImage on a Musl libc distribution.

tldr post ultra light software you use.

Excluding nonminmalist software here's my setup

Feh for Image viewing
mpv for video/audio
zathura for pdfs
xterm auto launching with htop or btop for task manager
xterm auto launching with nnn and or fzf for searching music, documents and videos
a bunch of custom wrappers in local bin calling mv, cp, ln, gio trash, ls, fd, rg, nnn, fish and unar for finding and sorting and archiving files in the cli
and micro, less, mdless and more from opening files in the cli
xpat2 and xsol for solitare also a few terminal games like vitris and moon buggy

and just found last night a feature rich code editor 'xnedit" that only uses 4.5mb-5mb of RAM. I'm planning on writing a new GIMP/GEGL plugin with it to replace Geany which is 25mb of rAM.

I used Linux Mint on bare metal for several months before going back to Windows because I needed something that did not work on Wine.
Now I no longer need that shit so I am read to back to Linux.

Should I keep using Mint or take the next step to a distro that's more advanced? What even is the next step after Mint?

Windows 95 was when the personal computer really took off for me. DOS and 3.1 felt bloated and archaic, but the whole tech world moved in such an exciting direction with that wonderful Start menu, CD-ROMs, and DirectX 3D graphics. https://youtu.be/yXZb7ybbz_8?list=PL4lROtjMOiJG7fB-74UxS7ob8Zp67U1-L
