>I know rendering curves is easy, its so obvious that its not worth pointing out and I never disagreed.
I know you're gish galloping but you quite literally did dispute that point. Follow the conversation:
>>106520719
>Drawing curves to the screen is a very efficient and easy task and can be combined with SDFs
>>106520763
>easy task and can be combined with SDFs
>what about the complex tasks, which is what a video game is filled with?
Like I said I initially thought you misread my post. The problem arises when you refuse to admit your mistake and double down on the retardation. Picking apart a sentence and attacking part of it out of context is womanly behavior, I assumed that wasn't deliberate on your part (but I guess I was wrong)
>I already have my own solution that serves usecases beyond simply rendering on the screen
You really don't. The solution I presented you can render hundreds of arbitrary filled paths in a couple milliseconds. I think you're underestimating how difficult realtime SVG rendering is, even adobe struggles with it.

Anyway, this tiger is the usual benchmark people use for SVG rendering. If you can take the raw path data, triangulate, and rasterize this in a 16 millisecond frame time, then I will concede your solution is a valid alternative. I'll be eagerly awaiting your attempt

Not against big phones per se, but is there any performance/endurance advantage from having the XL?

Still good hardware for the price, I just hate how they label virtual RAM as actual RAM a lot of the time, it's BS.

P.S. their RAZRs are better than the Galaxy Flip lineup.

My 60 year old dad asked, just out of his curiosity, what's the difference between 60 dollar chink tablet and a 1000 dollar Ipad. The conversation went something like this:
>Well you see dad, one has weak processor and other is powerful, meaning one is slow in operation, and other is quicker.
>But in the end they both can do the same things right? Both can launch the internet browser, play Youtube, and run Telegram?
>.... well yeah, I guess.
This kinda caught me. I mean unless we're talking about specific things, that average boomer coonsumer probably doesn't care about, like system security and updates, screen tech and resolution, audio speakers, battery, case material, and even eco-systems like Android (and many of it's firmware OSes) and I(pad)OS, they're both the same device for them, just one a bit slower and one a bit quicker.
How would (You) answer?

Let him browse the web for a bit on a cheap tablet (even a $200 one) and he'll understand immediately.
People notice immediately when every change on screen takes seconds compared to another device where things happen instantly.
Also, sound and screen quality are objective differences between any two tablets.
Granted, many people hate themselves to such an extent that they pretend everything is the same no matter the device. You won't be able to reason with such people because they have already convinced themselves that everything sucks and it sucks equally.

Look at that. Konqi. The KDE mascot.
The green is playful but not too loud. The scarf is tasteful, vivid, a bold stroke of red.
Notice the horns. Subtle, angular, catching the light with a clean, deliberate edge.
And the box filled with KDE tools, paintbrush, stickers, the whole arsenal. Immaculately arranged, not a single element out of place.

It’s not just a mascot. It’s perfection.

This is your brain on drugs.

Junior roles down 23%.
Senior roles up 14%.

Harvard tracked 285,000 firms. The math is brutal:

Before AI: 1 senior + 3 juniors = 4 person team
After AI: 1 senior + Claude = same output

We're creating a generation of experts with no apprentices. Masters with no students. Mentors with no one to mentor.

Who trains the next generation when AI does all the junior work?

But here's what made my stomach drop:

It's not layoffs.

>NOW is always the time to start something you have a legitimate interest in. If you're only doing it for the money, the time to start is never.
what's with the black and white thinking?
it's not necessarily "only for money" or "pure legitimate interest". Childhood should be about discovering the spectrum of interest/viability combinations you have.

Making enough money is important, but not the most important thing. it's just also not the least important factor either.

I'm in healthcare and they can't hire fast enough. They want to replace us with immigrants but that's not possible unless the immigrants are able to prove their nation's educational standards match our, their residency training matches our, and pass our board exams.
Most 3rd worlder's have to go through dental school all over again and then do residency too.

The bottleneck is residency positions that's why they can't replace anyone. The medical board keeps residency positions low to prevent people from becoming licensed doctors to keep pay high.

Chinese models are just benchmark machines. They're almost unusable in real life. They clearly haven't figured out how to make context work because they start fucking up after like 30-50k context tokens. Gemini 2.5 Pro is the best in that regard. I've given it huge chunks of code worth around 400k tokens and it was able to figure shit out. For very long context, like totally custom code bases, Gemini 2.5 Pro is the best. The most helpful in general is probably GPT 5 (thinking). The others are basically just garbage. Grok 4 is kind of OK in some cases but considering GPT 5 is better in every way, you might as well just use that.
