Is Libreboot safe to use? When I read the lead dev's name was Leah, I instantly knew that it was a woman (male). I don't want binary blobs on my machine (coreboot), but I don't know if this new breed of devs are to be trusted. I have NOTHING against mentally ill people or trans individuals, I just don't know if I can trust them with my computer.

(Why are they like this, anyway?)

As of my estimate, the GNU/Linux copypasta was created on /g/ somewhere between late Nov 2008 and late March 2009. The lower bound is Ten Billion thread archive being empty, the upper bound is first outside appearance of the copypasta: https://web.archive.org/web/20091031140239/https://xercestech.com/linux-not-gnulinux.geek

Anon, if you somehow have a thread dump of /g/ board made in early 2009, please grep it for any “interject for a moment” appearances.

World runs on Linux (cloud, super computers, data centers, IoT, all militaries, air traffic control, trains, boats, hospitals, ISS and other space related thigns etc.), everything done with Git, through SSH, talked about on IRC from the first day to 2025.

you 'eq' your room first.

play a sweep and you'll notice some tones are heavily over-represented. especially with a subwoofer. for me 120hz-125hz had a huge peak in my room.

eq for 'taste' is secondary.

Mine is not as severe as complete aphantasia but my ability to see images in my head is very limited compared to most people. I can do it, but they're usually not super detailed, and I have trouble holding them, they come and go. When I'm close to falling asleep it does seem to improve though, the images become much more vivid, it's interesting.

sisters, our response?
>>
I have no idea what musl is. As a developer or architect it is my job to say that I used something that is industry standard to not be potentially liable. THAT is the only reason why Alpine is used for production containers. I could not care less if it is slower 2, 5 or 7 times than some other option. Also, the time spent inside a container is typically nothing compared to the network time or first-load, which to improve requires more thinking than just choosing betweean A and B.

>30% of Microsoft code is written by AI

>"I'd say maybe 20%, 30% of the code that is inside of our repos today and some of our projects are probably all written by software,"

>Google CEO Sundar Pichai in October said that more than 25% of new code was written by AI. Earlier this month, Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke told employees that they will have to prove AI cannot do a job before asking for more headcount. Similarly, Duolingo CEO Luis von Ahn on Monday announced in a memo that the language-teaching company will gradually turn to AI in lieu of human contractors.

Is this true?
