I want smaller phones.
I want removable batteries.
I want notch-less screens.
I want 3.5 mm jacks back.
I want SD card slots.
I want flat displays, no edge gimmicks.
I want phones that don’t weigh half a brick.
I want chargers in the box.
I want replaceable back covers instead of glass slabs.
I want notification LEDs back.
I want front-facing stereo speakers.
I want IR blasters back.
I want plastic that doesn’t shatter instead of fragile glass.
I want bezels so I can hold the damn thing without ghost touches.
I want a phone that doesn’t throttle because of “thinness.”

Based, but
>I want chargers in the box.
I've never understood this complaint, honestly. We've had USB Type-C for quite some time now; a phone can use various chargers, and a charger can charge various devices. I have a charger at my desk, by my bed, in my car, etc.; why would I care if the manufacturer sends me another one?

Sorry buddy. Consumers want $2000 phones the size of your forearm that are a fraction of a percentage faster than last year's model but now with A.I. that does the thinking for you.

Don't try this at home Edition.

Setup OpenStack and report back.

>What software should I run?
Install Gentoo. Or whatever flavor of *nix is best for the job or most comfy for you. Jellyfin/Emby/Plex to replace Netflix, Nextcloud to replace Googlel, Ampache/Navidrome to replace Spotify, the list goes on. Look at the awesome self-hosted list and ask.

>>
>>106527746
I think anon is asking use case. but instead of being an asshole he asked nicely.
>>
>>106527791
that literally is my use case. right now I bounce back and forth using a 1080TI on 2 Linux vm's and a Windows vm. mostly for dev work but I do play some old titles occasionally. my jellyfin server doesn't transcode. with sriov I could just have them all have a slice of GPU and leave my 1080ti on the monitors.

if they can do 1Gbps down why can't DOCSIS 3.1 do the same up?
not that I'm well versed in coax shitter cables or protocols
>>
>>106527902
Because they're running "low split" DOCSIS 3.1 which only gives 5-42MHz to the upload side, which equates to ~30-40mbps.

DOCSIS 3.1 also supports "mid split" deployments which use 5-85MHz for the upload offering around 100-200mbps (depends on the distance from the ISP equipment.)

And finally there is "high split" DOCSIS 3.1 which is 5-204MHz which can do 200-350mbps upload.

It's only relatively recently DOCSIS ISPs in the US are upgrading to mid and high split deployments on a wide scale.

Comcast in my area has upgraded to high split DOCSIS 3.1 and offer 2300mbps download with 330mbps upload.
>>
>>106527948
still jewish tier of them to charge $120/mo for 40Mbps up in my eyes when Fiber is right around them in every other area offering higher symmetric speeds at lower prices
they kept promising a public rollout of 10Gbps infrastructure (prob 1Gbps upload max lmao) for years now but I'm just glad to be rid of them and their shitty monthly rising price that isn't justified
pretty sure that upgrade was going to just be "high split" as you mentioned so even worse than what I assumed and doesn't matchw hat I saw for the DOCSIS 3.1 standard maximum either yeesh
>>
>>106527840
>I don't have to prove anything to you.
That's fine, I can just make a series of assumptions and you will be unable to disprove them.
You are brown; Indian or Pakistani.
You favourite food is lamb biryani.
You are convicted of sexual assault on a girl aged 8-13.
You have a poverty internet connection.
Your shitty connection drops into the Kbps without cherry picked locations beneficial to you.
You don't and are unable to "prove" that any of this is false by your own admission.

Cope.

>>

> is it transphobic
No
> what happened
Years ago some tranny was attention whoring on their discord server and the mods said who cares about their pronouns.
That's it. Dev was then harassed way later by some red hat dude who decided to try and and police hyprland over it and send him threats.
Basically a "knock knock red hat man here you've been bad, how about some CoC(k) supervision from us"?
Dev told him no and published the mails after the guy didn't stop, and was banned for it from contribution to any freedesktop projects for life.

Since then drew devault and terminally online trannies started calling him a transphobe Nazi and some distros banned hyprland over it and any time it is mentioned somewhere they will slander him.

As far as I know Vaxry hasn't really insulted any minorities publicly ever, or spoken bad about them.
