Alpine Linux is a meme. Since is uses musl, have fun not having any binary software distributed for Linux work.

Are you really such a loser that changing a server OS is the best decision you have ever made? I think I'd kill myself.

there are so many ways to pick on alpine and musl is the one you went with? really? lol you're a tech illiterate jeetard. I bet you've never actually used alpine much like you've never actually used a woman's pussy. just use libc.

>Technology platforms are to be compelled by law to proactively find and stop content promoting self-harm to adults as well as children, in a bid to boost online safety.

>The change to strengthen the Online Safety Act will make clear to social media companies that it is not optional as to whether to take quick action on protecting users from “toxic material”, the new Technology Secretary Liz Kendall said.

>She said such content is so harmful that it can be “the difference between life and death”.

>The change – legally requiring tech firms to prevent such content from appearing in the first place, rather than simply reacting to it – is expected to come into effect this autumn and will mean that encouraging or assisting serious self-harm will be treated as a priority offence.

>The Molly Rose Foundation – set up by bereaved father Ian Russell after his 14-year-old daughter Molly took her own life, having viewed harmful content on social media – welcomed the strengthening of the Act.

https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/ofcom-liz-kendall-samaritans-government-b2822293.html

The OSA is getting worse. So much worse. Now all Brits will be blocked from viewing "self-harm/suicide" content even if they are verified as 18+.

If they apply these laws liberally, then we could end up with a bizarre scenario where people in the UK can no longer listen to a song that romanticises suicide (so a significant portion of rock/alternative music), or watch a film/play a video game that features a suicide/self-harm scene.

Even if this was true, which as other posters have pointed out it is not, an "unreliable" service worker that fails 0.01% of the time from a race condition is much more reliable than failing 100% of the time due to not trying which is what gorhill does. In my day we called that throwing a fit.

What is the obsession with blobs? Almost nothing made in the last two decades can run without some proprietary firmware. Even Libreboot ThinkPads that don't require IME (the Core 2 chipsets) still have some blobs such as the EC.

Cute, I've been eyeing a P14s but hinges look sussy on the Gen 5 since it's one single bar with 2 points of contact with the chassis instead of 4 traditional, and gen 4 has a processor without an NPU which I'd love to have to be futureproof, so then I look at Gen 6 and realise that I should really be looking at a better graphics cards at this price range.

Honestly, TempleOS is pretty pathetic for something that took 12 years to develop. I've seen a dozen or more hobby operating systems that far surpass it is every way and are a lot younger. Terry Davis refused to do absolutely anything challenging, using "God's law" as an excuse not to even touch VESA, USB, SATA, networking, or, well, any standard whatsoever. Even RedSea (the filesystem) was just a shittier FAT32.

It'd be different if he'd said "it's too hard" or something, but he couldn't even ask for help due to his ego, and at least once blamed TempleOS crashing on the CIA sending cosmic rays (via radio) to corrupt his RAM (no joke, look it up). Even allowing for the fact that he made the (non-self-hosting, incidentally) programming language, anyone here (yes, including the 70 IQ retards) could make something superior to TempleOS in 2-3 years with zero prior programming experience - which is very telling.

I'm not surprised he caught the train. If TempleOS was all I had to show for my "life", I'd an hero too.

better to enable it so you don't get complaints from dumb end users. the harm is minimal, you're not going to connect directly to the internet with your machine and your LAN probably doesn't have anyone wanting to abuse packet forwarding. I would be interested to know who is using libvirt on their router directly on the internet.

>At least some of the reason for this is Google invoking the Sampson Option to destroy 3rd-party Youtube clients
I only use FreeTube on my laptop though, when I'm on my phone (iPhone) I just use whatever invidious client currently isn't fucked.
Non of Googles actions will stop me from enjoying a ad free experience. Maybe Google/Alphabet inc. should roll back a bit on the obsessive ad rape and make the default YT experience not insufferably unbearable instead or just stop offering 4K video when most people are just streaming from there phones and besides people seem content with the buffering piece of shit slop that is Netflex anyway too. I always turn 4K down to 420p anyway because my Internet is garbage out where I live and stuttering is more annoying than slightly pixelated video frames in my personal opinion.

He's probably talking about the legal action libgen.rs suffered, or maybe the dispute over which is the "real" libgen and whether the "real" one is still up.
>>
>>106510179
I think semi-dead is a reach, but it has gotten noticably more difficult to quickly download a list of books.
Libgen is unreliable from there, the IPFS gates all timeout on me, and the fast/slow mirrors do work but they sometimes take a few tries.
Maybe I've just been trying at times of heavy usage.
I think at some point some kind of client for downloading select books from the torrents they host will come about. Kind of like another IPFS.
