My VR broke in 2023 or 2024; I don't quite remember. I haven't been very active in the VR community since then, but it seems like VR is dying. I wouldn't say it's fully dead but it's not how it used to be.At first it was all cool and amazing, but now it's kind of boring and stale. Even before my VR broke, I could feel it nearing that point of “Wow, this is pretty ass.” Maybe it's the games? Perhaps it's the VR headset itself? I'm not sure. Does anybody know what caused some decline in the VR space?

thats gotta be the top, it's 1:1 like in '99
The screen protector is AI-powered, meaning it can automatically detect specks of dust and use AI nano wipers embedded in the screen to clean them. Since it has AI, this is a MUST buy.
>>107121193If I were to be extremely charitable, this optimisation could simply be the fact that the screen protector is bezelless, thus, it wouldn't obscure that colourful Apple Intelligence effect.

It's rebranded chinkshit. Literal chinkshit sold at a 200% markup, I shit you not. Barely functioning garbage. It sucks because I've had good experiences with their desktops but the laptops are pure crap.
>>107118915If they were a decent company they would have made those improvements accessible to anyone with the same Clevo laptop, but they actively go out of their way to lock out other rebrands. On the other hand both Tuxedo and XMG allow anyone to load their BIOSes and custom tools on any compatible laptop, regardless of the reseller.
>>107118601>76they were SO close...
Is there any cheap laptop that has the brightness and screen quality of an office laptop but can also play CS2 and Dota 2 decently? The battery life should last at least 6-8 hours when not gaming. Most gayming laptops have shit screen brightness, shit battery life or both. Most office laptops have decent screens and battery life, but can't play CS2 or Dota 2. I am not willing to pay more than 1000 euros for it because last time I bought an expensive gaming laptop it broke after 2 years and I swore I'll never spend too much on a laptop gain.
>>107118601Lenovo is "literal chinkshit". What of it?
>>107121987i have a fairly recent lenovo. it still uses the super basic blue and grey no graphics bios. it works well enough.
The standard that lasts forever.
>>107120876This, NVMe SSD for a compact and quick booting machine, SATA HDDs in a NAS for high capacity high seek time storage for stuff that access speed matters less for like family home movies and backups.
>>107121770I haven't had an USB-C break yet but it's still a stupid, tiny, loose wiggly connector. Yeah, it can be non-wiggly if the connector length perfectly matches the hole but that still doesn't make the springs that hold it in place any stronger. It's designed for ease of plugging but I wouldn't want to rely on it for anything important.
>>107121780Yeah u right desu. many of these connectors are pretty similar even spec wise desu, it's a racket
actual standard that lasteth forever
i still mostly use sata ssds in my systems. for normal use and gaming and development its enough and i dont have money to replace with ultra new systems.

>>107121542NTAYou can write RTOS in any system programming language. They usually get written in mix of C and asm. However things like embassy do everything RTOS typically do but faster, with less overhead and actually nicely integrate with language features so RTOSes might eventually die along with C.
Instead of the SMR crap I would rather have a 5.25" HDD with CMR.I wonder what capacity would be possible with a 5.25" CMR hdd .Maybe 40 tb?
>>107121881It'd be way slower due to physics.Larger disc to spin and longer seek times. It'd be louder, too.
>>107121881https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_Bigfoot
>>107121910The platter doesn't need to fully utilize the 5.25" diameter. It could just be larger than 3.25" for more space, but not large enough to diminish the performance. Also they could fit more platters since the 5.25" slot is taller. On the side of the device, they could add a M.2. slot where you plug a SSD that functions as a cache. There is a fuckton of space to do it.
the larger the platters the more vibrations become an issuespeed is only an issue because you would have to spin the platters slower, if you spun at the same speed it would actually be faster sequentially for most of the disk, but you still have the issue of seek times from longer maximum head seek distance
