I use CLion on Windows / Linux / Mac and performance is by far the worst on Windows. It's definitely not unusable but you need a big boy cpu these days for it. XCode and Visual Studio somehow manage to be even slower.
>>
>>107122737
Visual Studio 2022 is very snappy. Latest CLion is absolute fucking dumpster fire.
>>
>>107122737
I use it on Linux, maybe I need to change some settings. But VS on Windows really is even worse.
>>
>>107122759
Yeah that's fair I should have clarified. VS2019 is horrible, VS2022 is much faster but I still prefer Clion. But I'm on a bleeding edge fast CPU so it doesn't matter that much.

What can you do with the hardware or data getting it physically vs hacking for it digitally? For most of computing history, there was no reason to do that even with the dot com bubble. And even now, GPUs aren't expensive enough yet to warrant doing that given the security that datacenters have already, and then shipping it over to some customer like a Chinese one. You need someone highly technical to even know what to do with these GPUs. I suspect when Rubin comes out, that is when the prices for datacenter GPUs will have skyrocketed enough for someone to even bother trying this.
>>
>>107114845
Your last hope is existing/old stock with the old prices
Everything stocked up past this point will cost >2-3x as much as they did weeks ago
>>
>>107121499
>Those "datacenters" are going to be USA's version of "ghost cities" or the "dark fiber" that was laid down during dot.com boom.
i think in the .com some of that infrastructure was re-used for productive stuff after the bubble popped, but unlikely that they will be able to do anything with it after AI pops and they have to pay real energy prices, i think they will just go to hell

Twitter today/yesterday has been mass suspending thousands of accounts, even my inoffensive account that I only use to like and retweet cute Blue Archive art, got suspended for "inauthentic activities." They are apparently cracking down on accounts that have used third party apps like Tweetdeck/Oldtweetdeck. I myself have not used Tweetdeck outside of checking it out a few years ago, but I wasn't spared.

Suspensions are hitting accounts of all sizes, regardless of follower count.

do you realize how much time you have wasted generating the same gen over and over again?

1000 hours at least. since you same autists have been doing this for 2 years now.

you could learn something, or make a new project or something, even play like 100 new video games.

But no, you just have to generate the same fucking idiotic bland generation AGAIN.

Fucking pathetic, fucking yikes.
>>

>even play like 100 new video games.
Kek and that would have been better... how, anon? Most new video games are shit. As much as it might autistic, genning stuff at least can gratify one's aesthetics.

As for new things (and blogging post), today I've cooked and eaten woodcock for the first time; I've plucked/cleaned it myself (that was a new skill I've unlocked some weeks ago with trushes; woodcock is much easier), deboned it, stuffed it with chestnuts, mushrooms, anchovies, taleggio, parmesan and its offals, baked it and served it on pappardelle with porcini cooked with the reduction of its juices and boiled quail eggs. It was yummy. I hope you did something new/interesting, too. Besides lamenting about how others spend their free time because that somehow triggers you.

I've made some simple browser-based games like Snake etc., but you're better off asking in the game engine dev general.

If the game runs in a browser you'll want to look up the relevant API's on MDN, like the <canvas> element. A very simple HUD can be drawn using SVG.

Is that just the default view that pops up when you're asked what drive to install to? I've formatted the drive, deleted all the partitions, then manually assigned new ones before installing

It's a command line utility you access via pressing shift+f10 in the install USB environment to access a command line. It's the most clean way to remove all partitioning data from a drive making it seem completely brand new to the Windows installer leading to a fully functional normal install.

how close am I to a viable product and what should I charge for it? for reference, the 5 drive SSD unit on top retails for $146.95 on Amazon.
This is a proof of concept that I'm using to put an old Pi3b+ out to pasture with, I would use a Pi 5 for anything serious. The RPi is frankenwired into the drive bay for power and switch access, the relay hat drives the switches and can turn it on and off and read the LEDs under the buttons. I've written some nigger-rigged scripts to turn things on after a power failure and get the drives online and RAID checks, etc.

I invoice 8 hours per working day unless I'm off, and of course, for any kind of meeting where I need to participate or collate insights I invoice more time as I need to prepare for it and tidying my notes after it has happened.
To be honest I'm kinda tired of this client due to this change and if they told me tomorrow they want to terminate the contract I would enjoy it, but although she's making me as uncomfortable as she can, she's not pulling the trigger. For now, I'm complying with her requests, although I make her wait on purpose because I've confirmed that the more I give to her, the more she demands, and I'm an independent contractor so fuck that noise.

Every single one that implements the GNOME / freedesktop Secret Service API does.
KDE Wallet gives you options to ingore it temporarily or forever, with both deny and accept.
Others don't do that.
If you click on temporary 10 times and your browser keeps requesting it 10 times because you yourself deny it temporarily, then it is your fault.

The Secret Service API is utter ridiculous garbage, and Steve Walters (RedHat Inc) deserves to be hung for it.

How is the information useful? Are you one of those no-coders?
The information is useful because you generally (read: almost always) want to keep your memory compact especially in data structs. Therefore you (almost always) want as few bits as possible without risking overflow. If you instead go for the largest type all the time you’ll waste tons of space for no reason at all (I hope to god that you atleast know what padding is).
>bit vector
You mean bitset, not fucking bit vector.
