>>108097900OK guys, I'm thinking of setting up a server at home... at the moment I only have some old parts of a computer that I had that is a Pentium G2030 LGA 1155 and 8Gb DDR3, can I do something with that computer? I honestly don't want to throw it away.
>>108112956You will not saturate a gigabit connection for 99.99999999999% of your life while online. It's more than good enough for a home network.
>>108113291I regularly hit over 1Gbps in steam downloads.Unless the download is like less than 500MB, i'll almost always breach 1Gbps, sometimes even 2Gbps.
>>108113291Are you retarded? I saturate it constantly with just downloading torrents and transferring files between my server and PC.
>>108113328So you claim you are constantly moving files between your server and PC, all day, 24/7? Stop being a smoothie.>>108113302And? You download a game then when it's done the connection is no longer saturated. My point still stands. Or are you deleting and redownloading massive games all day every day?

>>108113112was this from the super bowl?
the HDR fad is finally dying
The only thing HDR did for me is fuck up the color on my torrented movies and make everything look gray only because I didn't buy a useless gimmick
>>108112969Use mpv then
>>108112938Fad? It's literally just a larger color space. That's like saying P3 or srgb is a fad. People not using it because implementations are bad and inconsistent is another thing but that doesn't make it a fad. HDR and color spaces beyond it are inevitable.

I think I'm just gonna go for a mid-range phone next time. Is there even any point in getting a flagship if all you do is web browse and use banking apps? The cameras are nice I guess but real cameras are more fun to use.
>>108110038Your current phone will only get worse after a year or two. I was using a galaxy s7 from 2017 till last year. I had some issues with it. Mostly were unavailable storage and some bugs and glitches. I made a factory reset and it became so much worse now. Even unusable for single use like phone calls and stuff.I would advise you getting a phone with big specs and long software support and hold it for like 5 years. Even a 1 or 2 year old flagship will be fine.

>>108110931>>108111102>>108112062Let's be fair here: "video codec" image formats used to be dogshit because they could only use 4:2:0 chroma sub sampling. AVIF now lets you use 4:2:2, which has hw accel support. 4:4:4 would be EVEN better but 4:2:2 is becoming the "meh, good enough".https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-50-series-adds-support-for-422-color-format-video-decoding-and-encoding
>>108113019>4:2:2, which has hw accel supportAre you high?
the way windows and a lot of the programs I use on it fail to handle webp files appropriately is very irritating. it's 2026 for FUCKS sake and when I'm presented with 'save as' telling me an image is a webp file I still sometimes just copy the pixels, paste it into irfanview and save it as a jpg/png like a caveman instead of having to download and then convert the thing wish my browser would just let me choose to save images in different formats right here in the save dialogue and autoconvert it.
>>108113153That makes no sense, why would high contain premium[tm] 4:4:4 instead of meh[tm] 4:2:2? Someone botched that wiki entry.
This is the future that awaits you if you refuse to use AI
