Which language is better for AI coding agents?
>>107857895JavaScript.
>>107857895Pure assembly is all you need
Never tried Haskell, but Rust works oh so beautifully. The compiler catches errors that other languages would let slip by and the error messages actually help the agents fix the problems. It's truly over for C/C++ in this new era.
>>107857895Python is fine
>>107858450>the only thing rust is good for is correcting ai generated slopcode

It's time to mobilize and make sure the Apple Board of Directors know we want Craig Federighi as the next CEO of Apple. Tim Cook is stepping down latter this year.IOS/Mac OS 26 has been a flop; Apple's software is stale. Apple needs an engineer as it's CEO; Apple can save consumer software and make it exciting again. Craig is eccentric and exciting just like Steve Jobs was.Don't put a soulless MBA bean counter as Apple's next CEO that will shove LLMs down our throats.

I don't know what I would use one for as the only BBS I connect to is over SSH/telnet but having copper to the phone company is awesome. You should set up a BBS anon. I know dialup over VoIP is spotty but it can be done and I would love the chance to connect to your setup over a telephone line.Kino choice on NetBSD as well. I have a Power PC Mac Mini with NetBSD that is my Gopher server and I have found it to be a wonderful OS. It is a bit stuck in time but in a good way. It feels like how a *nix machine should feel.
>>107856744I agree. NetBSD is really cool, and unlike the other BSDs, it has relatively sensible defaults, not being obsessed with security or keeping up with Linux, or whatever.

So is this the true endgame distro or what?
>>107856384the end game is actually Nix
>>107856384It's great. It has a ton of packages compared with Arch's official repository and it's easy to build things from source if needed. I don't need their community so it's not a problem. Services are also simple enough for LLMs to make for you from systemd service information. I've been on it for nearly a decade with almost zero issues. It's the "endgame" for me.
>>107856384I'm using it for more than a decade now.The only thing I'm missing is more optimized packages: x86_64_v3, LTO, PBO would be great.
>>107856384Define "Endgame"
the package manager is written in Rust.
When ever you open your phone it sends low burst radio signal that can be read over 100 meters.https://x.com/c10ned/status/1908305530038141290https://x.com/c10ned/status/1908305530038141290Any anons know why this is case? What's use case of sending such signal moment you turn phone on/login?
>>107858137>Your phone is always on and traceable, even if it's offThis is most likely false. You can build a lectenna very easily. It's just an LED and the right sort of diode wired in parallel, with the legs spread apart. The long stick formed by the legs acts as an antenna that picks up enough power from a nearby phone's signal to blink the LED whenever the phone transmits. It's something the phone can't bypass since it's just picking up the transmitted signal itself and running off that.

how often do you clean your keyboard?
>>107858554ok you too. I just cleaned my keyboard (that I use with my laptop) a couple of days ago and it feels great. It had been a while, and I didn't notice it was kinda greasy.
Since mechanical keyboard autism became a ""hobby"" of mine it has become a once a month thing. Brushing the keycaps clean with a horsehair brush is every day or two, disassembly to clean off the plate is once a month, scrubbing the keycaps to look good as new is maybe once per two months. I rotate my 5 keyboards so they don't get dirty as fast.

keyboards need to go through a total makeover to be honest. It would effectively require a new operating system to become popular for it to ever happen, though. Maybe mac could try it, lmao.

Zoomer here. I heard from my teacher today that phones used to have a slot like the sim card one where you could put in those digital camera memory sd cards in it. Why did no one complain when this happened?
>>107849362>I tried to buy a replacement, but every "new" battery I found was almost a decade old and they all as useless as the original one or worse after being stored for so longFor popular devices, you can easily find a chinaman who's happy to tell you a new battery rated for more capacity than the original battery. But when you get it you notice it's suspiciously lightweight, unwrap it and find a much smaller lower capacity cell with some bits of plastic or foam around it to pad it out to the required size.

>>107853757Same and it's not even 3 years old yet, with an OLED screen, NFC, under screen fingerprint reader, quality camera, etc. Granted, swapping the battery does require opening the phone but it uses tabs and I can order a genuine new battery straight from the manufacturer.
