For a laugh, let's find the absolute worst most shittiest computer possible that's being sold brand new (not preowned).Rules: it has to be a real computer that can run a real OS like linux or windows, and without hardware hacking or jailbreaking etc, so not some chromebook fischer price toy or something like that. And it can't be refurbished or preowned.I'll start. Windows 10 tablet with Atom CPU and 2GB memory:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006046602349.html
Half-venting, half-serious inquiry: why the fuck is Google shadowbanning (shown to only me while logged in, not shown to anyone else or to me while logged out) the following comments. Separate comments on separate lines, all shadowbanned:>About hardware: even back in 2016 I needed 128Gb of RAM to provide a service for my clients on a level that they expected, in 2025 that's a Threadripper with 8x32 and 24Gb of VRAM at minimum.>My company will outperform anyone who has inferior software, hardware, and less efficient pipelines. Outperform on money and on time. Clients expect top end results with a quick turnaround.>Another example, I have 3 large screens because over a year, it's far cheaper for me to buy 2 extra monitors, than to constantly waste time alt+tabbing to view references or communicate, etc.>But nobody would ever need 3 screens because you can do everything with 1 screen also, right? That's the difference between tinkerers and professionals: time = money.(arguing with a faggot saying my shitty thinkpad and opensource toys can do *everything*)Is Google fucking retarded? I haven't been able to converse with anyone for the better part of the last 5 years. The same bullshit, have a casual conversation going (or try to have), then check it while logged out and see that 70% of what I've posted has never appeared publicly. Sometimes the most mundane shit gets autodeleted like: "I wish you happy holidays, mate". At one point I tried to help some guy out by typing only "You can find it by googling *some mundane shit about computing*" aaaand shadowbanned. I may use my phone and an alt account, still the same shit. What in the ungodly fuck is going on? Not a single swearword. Not a single no-no topic. And then there's endless fucking botposts with the same exact spamcontent on every fucking major fagtuber 15 seconds after publishing a video. Oh then they are powerless, nothing they can do. Fuck them with a rusty iron spike. What the fuck is their problem?
>>107695270There was never any serious conversation on YouTube. It has always been a cesspit.

>The development comes a little over a year after the tech giant [Google] disclosed that its transition to Rust led to a decline in memory safety vulnerabilities from 223 in 2019 to less than 50 in 2024.>The company pointed out that Rust code requires fewer revisions, necessitating about 20% fewer revisions than their C++ counterparts, and has contributed to a decreased rollback rate, thereby improving overall development throughput.>We adopted Rust for its security and are seeing a 1000x reduction in memory safety vulnerability density compared to Android's C and C++ code. But the biggest surprise was Rust's impact on software delivery," Google's Jeff Vander Stoep said. "With Rust changes having a 4x lower rollback rate and spending 25% less time in code review, the safer path is now also the faster one >With roughly 5 million lines of Rust in the Android platform and one potential memory safety vulnerability found (and fixed pre-release), our estimated vulnerability density for Rust is 0.2 vuln per 1 million lines (MLOC).>Our historical data for C and C++ shows a density of closer to 1,000 memory safety vulnerabilities per MLOC. Our Rust code is currently tracking at a density orders of magnitude lower: a more than 1000x reduction.https://thehackernews.com/2025/11/rust-adoption-drives-android-memory.html

>>107696771>I've never seen Megaman NT warriors or played Battle Network>>107698383considering that Roll would get jealous if any other female navi would try to get Mega's attention. Shit was funny.
>>107698383I've played the first game way back, but I've never seen the show. The world is actually awesome and way ahead of its time. Every electronic device is connected to the internet and controlled by some AI. You explore the internet and everything connected to it with your AI "NetNavi". If something electrical is broken or malfunctioning its usually caused by virus or bad NetNavi and you can fix it with your AI. Like if you really think about it that's basically how the world is heading. Everything IS connected to the internet and controlled by AI. Like those smart fridge's that talk and order food. Chat GPT even lets users customize their AI's personality now. I do fix a lot of bugs by talking to AI. They got a lot more right than people give them credit for. .... That said, does anyone remember why Megaman was special? Lan's dad was supposed to be a genius or something... but megaman seems the same as the rest of the Navis.
>>107690359wait for it. I just learned about 3D printers, and have spent a year learning Ubuntu. I took an intro to automation course between all of my CAD and engineerign stuff for an AAS, so I should totally be able to make PETs and navis. imma use minecraft as a digital virtualization of the internet, and develop some mods whicu allow me to put an AI/LLM powered buddy into the internet and wander around, but represented in MC. ITS COMING. GOTTA BETATEST FIRST. I HAD TO GET OVER MY DRINKIN PROBLEM, IT TOOK A FEW YEARS GUYS.
>>107700205>hat said, does anyone remember why Megaman was special? Lan's dad was supposed to be a genius or something... but megaman seems the same as the rest of the Navis. In the games its revealed that Lan's grandpa had invented Net Navis for the world. Basically it was a different timeline to the Megaman franchise where Dr.Light(the creator of Megaman from the original games) went into software(and got laid) instead of robotics. Lan's dad later takes over the company/research but lost his first son named Hub, due to a disease. Lan's dad tried to make a copy of his first son using his DNA and probably some other top secret research mixed in that I can't remember since its been awhile since I played the games.I also can't remember if Lan and Hub were twins so some explanations might be vague. If I remember right, both Lan and Megaman didn't know until the end of the first game.

>>107700992>They got huge funding from tencent recently. They ain't gonna bust any time soon.Oh ho ho, you're severely underestimating their crushing debt! The cash injection from Tencent buying into their IP-licensing vehicle provided them 1,16 billion Euros, pic related is their big 'ole consolidated debt at 09/30/2025. Btw, that's just long-term, they also have short-term debt that goes on top of that. They have more debt than they have current assets, meaning they're already at risk of operational discontinuity :^)
The old fan is making a slight rattling noise on startup but it goes away after 5 min. It's spinning at 3000rpm to cool down Athlon x250 which gets hot very quickly during cpu spikes (it shuts itself down at 70C). I'd like to replace it but I can't find any 70mm fans. >>107700206Didn't you have to commit sudoku if the Nintendo you manufactured red ringed?
>>107700310No. I did quality auditing in a NATO defence company. It was a great way to become unpopular, bearer of bad news and all that. We had to learn about the field before we could start auditing, and Japan was still a source of knowledge. The US was less interested in quality and I was not surprised to learn from GAO that F-35 had suffered a regression in the radar software suite. And that is far closer to capital offence than a red ring. GAO has also published MTBF info that is rather disturbing. F-35 is a hangar queen that one week into WWIII would all be grounded waiting for spare parts that are no longer on the shelves.
