What was the most disturbing thing you've found on the dark web?
>>107793367kys
>>107819331Supposedly it's some autist that hates children's media that you can force into a meltdown by including it hidden in an image, but most of the time this happens it's in such a tiny way that no one could tell or notice, so the guy posting them and freaking out about it are probably the same guy.
>>107810193Daisy's Destruction is an urban legend. There's literally no evidence the actual video exists. At most people claim they've seen a trailer, but there's no actual evidence that exists either, and even if it does, there's no reason to believe it's part of a longer video, and even if it is, there's no way to know what that video might contain.>>107812455Then why did you post it, dumbass?

Why do you need 24GB of VRAM? What will you do with it that 16GB can't? Most people don't need more than 12 and you NEET highschool dropout hobbyists can get by just fine with 8GB for your projects and old games.

I don't get it, if you need this card for AI you should just buy some Mac Minis or Arc B60's instead. Those scale way better.

previous: >>107833909#define __NR_mmap 9this is probably my favorite syscall of all time. we could spend weeks discussing this alone. it is extremely powerful, versatile, and widely used. not to mention, it's one of the (somewhat) rare six argument syscalls. some potential points of discussion:> the addr argument, and its use without flags, with MAP_FIXED, and with MAP_FIXED_NOREPLACE> file-backed vs anonymous mappings> the concept of pages, page sizing, and alignment > guard pages and PROT_NONE> the actual meaning of SIGSEGV, and how there's more to segfaults than simply process crashes> core dumps and stack traces> other related signals, such as SIGBUS> MAP_GROWSDOWN and the stack> the use of mmap (as opposed to brk) for allocation via the *alloc family> manual memory management vs an allocation schemeComment too long. why is brave so popular among normies? literally every irl normalfag i know has this shit installed and they always say the exact same lines like "this browser is better because it bocks ads by default" or "this browser is more secure and private" or "brave is better because it doesn't eat your ram and is faster"where did they learn this nonsense? they all look like brainwashed ignorants
>>107851996>normalfags>changing the defaults
>>107849597>"Brave's own advertising efforts, just through its Brave Ads platform, is over $50 million annually"Yes, every single year. Guess how much Librewolf and Abrowser pays for advertising? Fucking zero.
>>107852108that's why i feel gross defending it, it's an awful company even if you can wrangle the browser into being the least shit option
I've used it for years only recently swapped to librewolf on pc and ironfox on mobile. It just works and I'll be honest I'm such a poor fag I enable the ads so I can get my 10p a month in BAT. But I got rid of it since on phone it moved the URL bar to the bottom and you have to select edit URL instead of just clicking it and I heard the company is gonna charge for a browser and I'd prefer to use a full foss browser. Some of the out of the box settings for librewolf and ironfox are a little OTT for the average user but after some tweaks they are fine. Most normies just use chrome or even the Google app on their phone they don't even know what a browser is I told my mate to use another browser to stop ads and have more privacy and he said he just likes Google so he thinks a browser is a search engine.
>>107849597Just be glad normies are kinda healing. Before id watch normies i know use google chrome and see 75% of every website filled with ads. Such an eyesore even if its not my machine im looking at. Now that theyre using brave thats not the case, just a clean webpage with only the contents loaded and no ads bloating up the screen. Im happy for them
Zoomer here. I heard from my teacher today that phones used to have a slot like the sim card one where you could put in those digital camera memory sd cards in it. Why did no one complain when this happened?
>>107851612It literally does, yes.
>>107849066>How Come No One Spoke Up When They Came For The SD Card Storage Slot?Because the type of people who buy "premium" phones are easily convinced that the removal of features is progress. I only buy cheap Chinese phones purely because they have them and headphone jacks (as I don't trust Bluetooth earbuds/headphones to not explode in my ear).
>>107849066My new Sony Xperia X VII has mSD slot and headphone jack. So does my Xcover 7 ;)
>>107850755>Sony xperia>Shit phoneMaybe, idk. Its a pretty nice phone imo. Has sd car support and a headphone jack. Is as powerful as the other flagships. Looks cooler. Is ip68 rated.Sounds like youre retarted m8
>>107849114you underestimate how most people use their phones. when removable batteries were around, most people never changed them when they wore out, they just got a new phone. when sd card slots were around, most people never used them. if there was enough demand for these things then they'd still be available because the profit would outweigh the cost savings, but most people are not autistic tech dweebs

Hello Linux Questions folksChris has installed linux onto my computer and I do not like how it looks..I need it to look like my windows 7 I had before as this new setup is too confusing and unfamiliar....I liked the windows menu as I found it very convenient helpful and familiar. I miss the look the computer used to have with the bright colors and nice sounds ,as this one is too dark and depresses my mood.I am also having troible finding my programs...I liked the programs I used and cannot figuee out how to get them back. I cannot ask Chris since he is too busy to come visit . Thank you to any kind folks who know how to help!James.
>>107846726James, computer issues aside you should have a talk with your grandson. Installing Linux means he might be a closetet homosexual if not worse. Linux is a virus ment to infiltrate computers of hard working common folks made by former soviet hacker Linyos Torovaltos.

>>107846726go to gnome-look.org or other sites like cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com. Search for "Windows 7" or "Aero" themes for Cinnamon. These will change the window borders, buttons, and taskbar to look like Windows. There are free and usually better alternatives for most common Windows programs (LibreOffice for MS Office, Firefox/Brave for browsing, etc.).If you need specific Windows software, you might be able to run it using Wine (a compatibility layer), but this can be complex for a beginner. Your grandson Chris really should have helped set this up. And I hate to tell you this, but he's almost certainly getting ass-blacked by gaynigger BBC. Sorry.

With the current state of the PC market I’m thinking of buying Apple, I know the M4 is powerful but how is MacOS? I heard Tahoe is shite but haven’t looked too deep into it.
>>107849481Also I'm wrong about the 300 cycle part.apple's batteries keeps 80% charge at 1000 cycles. So that matches up with your battery health perfectly.(assuming that the health % is accurate, and not a number that is calculated purely from the cycle count, 80% of 80% is 64% so technically your battery is slightly better than expected?).
>>107849544>And a heavy workload like video editing will reduce the charge to 2 hours or something. On an M series? Was the M1 that bad or is the vaunted macbook battery life just that terrible? My AMD stinkpad lasts 2-4 hours on heavy usage and it's x86
>>107815453check out filepilot, its like a faster win10 file browser with tabs, fast sorting and searching that actually works, too bad the dev is a yuropoor faggot who loves the win11 "huge padding and corner radius everywhere" aesthetic though. the only real downside other than that is that it doesnt save your layout preference per folder like windows does so if you set it to display by large thumbnails and then go somewhere and expect it to automatically switch to details, youre not gonna get that. its as good as it gets on windows otherwise
>>107826201>the font gets sort-of temporarily burned in after 20 minutes or so, I didnt even know this could happen on ipssounds like you got a shitty panel, my t14 thinkpad has a similar issue. i also had the same issue on my moto g4 back in 2016. lcd burn-in is real even if its temporary unlike oled
