Did you buy an OLED monitor?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ-L0P8Gn2MThis guy said an OLED monitor is one of the ONLY upgrades you can make to improve gaming with most other stuff being a waste of money. They are better for movies and other stuff too. And the prices are coming down. And burn in is a thing of the past on the latest panels and come with 3 years warranty. VA, IPS, TN, MiniLED they are all worse in a lot of ways especially when it comes to the main purpose of a monitor - what things actually look like. So is it time? Make the OLED jump? You can get one for just $400 now.
I bought one, it arrived in a non-functional state. This is a recurring problem I have when buying monitors, so I won't try again until mine dies.
>>107982613Eh. I like my current monitors. I wouldn't know what to do with them if I were to buy new ones. Putting them up on craigslist seems like a pain.
dont worry /g/ I'm sure microLED is at most 2 years away like you said in 2017
phones are disposable. I am not going back to a burn-in technology for a desktop monitor ever.
>>107993610>>107994447I could use a 16:10 1440p 32 inch monitor that is flat. I hope more 16:10s show up
Imagine, you are at home and you hear some alarm going off outside.Wouldnt be amazing if you could just sit in front of your computer and remotely control a drone already set up?Push a button, a small door or window opens in your house and the drone goes out, you fly it around and check things out sitting at your desk. When you are done you fly it back in and it recharges the battery automatically with some connector on the drone's feet or something.
Or just have cameras installed already where the alarms are with motion detection
>>107994759This is already a thing and it's way more expensive than just having cameras set up. If you're a large corporate campus it makes more sense though but it never makes sense for residential or single building businesses.
>>107994781Is not just that, if something goes off outside, or the neighbour's alarm sounds, or if you just want to check stuff out.Is kind of cool and convenient to be able to fly something with a camera out of your house while sitting in your desk.
>>107994789If it could be made cheaper people would buy it for sure.
I have been using HidemeVPN free version for some time with protocols such as WIREGUARD, OPENVPN AND SOFTETHER. Now they updated their services and Im only getting 1-3 Mbps download and upload speed. Cant even see videos anymore. Not willing to pay for yearly service. Do you guys have any solutions any advice? I prefer security over speed, but to a certain extent. I still want to be able to have videos buffered without stopping. On windows 11 22H2
Are there any good free vpn's? Cba paying extra to use the internet

Isn't TOR a vpn with extra steps?

>>107994028The average lifespan of someone who made it to adulthood was 60 years in 1850. And people were living in way more miserable crowded conditions at the start of the Industrial Revolution than they were in the Middle Ages.

>>107994059So the people who didn't make it to adulthood don't count as having had a shorter life expectancy? "if you just don't die, you live"?also your figures are skewed by the aristocracy living significantly longer than the working man. >>107980822I sold / gave away a bunch of older stuff (or it broke) from when I was younger, mostly because I used the money I got for selling my old stuff to finance my upgrades back then. Got a decent career going since then and I've kept components since. Kind of wish I kept more stuff, but I'm still glad some pieces survived, like the last CRT monitor we used on the family computer back then and a bunch of CRT TVs. I actually use them if I play older PC games or emulate.
>>107993160I bough a R9 380 recently to use for emulation, it's one of the fastest cards with a real VGA output which can be used for all the native video modes old consoles ran at, so it can be hooked up to a TV pretty easily and you can play all those games on their intended display.
There is nothing interesting to watch anymore.
>>107989090Yeah, cuz all the pre-2016 channels and videos got deleted.
Just watch music videos, you should not be watching any video that's just a guy talking directly to you, or a group of gay men talking to each other. You don't need to watch a gay video about some old gay technology made by a guy who talks directly to you about some bullshit they found on Wikipedia. This is not a job, don't let these faggots use this as their job. It is funnier if they have to go work a regular job after spending a decade talking to people about trivial bullshit that pays their bills anyway.
