how many of you do this? is it a reliable way to store data?
I'm thinking of carrying one of these metallic keychain usb drive along with my keys cause I've seen a few friends doing just that. It's not going to carry "critical" data like logins or money related info, mostly just creative work I'd really like to not lose. I just don't know how resistant these are to constant manipulation, being squished, in contact with the other keys, eventual water when it rains and motorcycle vibrations among other things.

It's handy to always have a USB stick with you in case you need it.
But I would never rely on it for backups.

Anything important should be backed up online, just use encryption if you don't trust it.
In combination with a local copy at home there isn't much that could go wrong.

I don’t use usb. I have a spare broken iPhone I airdrop a few files into. And a 30 digit passcode to get into it. I don’t have much. Just my taxes, my keepass database, and like 2 photos. no one can get into it unless maybe Israel gets it, unlike usb which lets u plug it into anything and if it breaks well tough shit that’s why I’m not using it and it’s stored away somewhere safe. I check up on it every once in a while
>>
>>107995715
as long as you do a proper backup (have one copy of your shit in the flash drive and another on your local machine) i guess it's alright

there was this guy who had his own implementation of dynamic arrays in C that carried around so there's that
>>
>>107995715
I bought this exact same usb key as your pic, a Kingston G3 something
I also have a rubber cover like picrel to put on the top, it's pretty tight and hold very well
I backup my keepass, ID documents, insurance papers, config files, ssh keys, some work files, etc once a month
everything is stored in a VeraCrypt container that I just transfer on the usb key
pretty comfy

Sorry, that's everything thanks to jeets.
Everything is steadily declining in quality.

I use audible daily and a few years ago it worked as intended but nowadays it often crashes and stops working. A couple of weeks ago they did a small UI update, now "continue listening" starts the book from the start, super fun if one is 15 hours into a 22 hour book.

Is 24GB of VRAM still enough to run Stable Diffusion with no compromises per the original specification? I just obtained an RTX 3090 Ti and I need to validate my purchase somehow in this VRAM apocalypse. I have made due with an 8GB GPU since 2023 for occasional prompting.
>>
>>107996322
VRAM requirements depend pretty much solely on the model you are trying to run. should be more than enough for anything anime. can probably even do videos though im not too familiar with them

I have used 1.5 and PDXL/Illustrious mostly, occasionally SDXL for textures and assets testing. I thought about training my own stuff but never took it seriously.

No but it's cool to test it out for a while. It's like a new coomer portal where content is being created rather than consumed. And it's often more detailed than what you may be looking for in porn. The novelty wears off quite fast though and it requires you to type and be creative. Regular porn is better overall and more realistic and convenient long term.

Some people want to see scenes longer than a few minutes without ads and new videos that hasn't already been promoted on the site for years. Good luck finding that on normie sites.

Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.

i was thinking about the actual voltages used. if the xmp settings from one stick are applied to both one of them might fry, and if its a short, it might take the cpu imc with it (desktop profiles normally have higher voltages than laptops, are the nand chips actually different? i dont think so, since its not lpddr, but they those picked for sodimms might only tolerate lower voltages).
the adapters listed on the page you linked seem to have some fuses in them, at least the ddr4 versions, maybe thats some sort of mitigation agains some of that in case the profile the bios picks is not the right one for all sticks
>>
>>107995606
It works, but you need something with more than 2 pins.
>>
>>107996354
pretty sure all JEDEC voltages for DDR4 are 1.2V and there's no low power type. moreover even 1.5V is perfectly safe for DDR4 overclocking, although usually it's not worth going that high.

I like it. I'm a stupid webshitter who needs a retard friendly language to write my asinine faggotry. I had picked it up because I needed easy parallelism and Node.js wasn't going to cut it. I basically use Go for webshit that needs to be fast, or when I'm processing an asston of files locally I want more than one thread kicked into gear.

Rust is my next stop into my "make le code go brrrrrr" endeavor, but Go has worked for most of my shit anyhow.

Funnily enough bigger cars do typically lead to bigger profits, because the cost of making the car bigger is way less than what a big car sells for compared to a smaller car. It's why SUVs and trucks were pushed so hard. EVs have kinda fucked that equation though because they need to slap a bigger battery into big cars, and batteries are by far the most expensive component of EVs, especially since they increase the weight a lot which means you need a more powerful engine that consumes more power so you need a bigger battery which is heavier etc.

Perhaps we will need to rely on lora to get good quality results. Or it's just skill issues.

Best quality photography a cyberpunk woman sitting on a small crate with (steampunk-glasses), Halloween theme, wearing high heel shoes. she has a (perfect hourglass figure) with large breasts. She is wearing a steampunk bustier and corset with matching steampunk micro skirt.

Backgrouns is Grafitti art by Carne Griffiths, on a photographic red-brick wall with graffitti spelling "Z-Image Base" in cursive, insane details, intricate details, low contrast, soft cinematic, masterpiece, light, saturated colors, exposure blend

Same reason. The burden of maintenance is reduced if not entirely removed for the user. And the distro maintainers also have an easier job managing it which would hopefully lead to a much more stable long term experience and a better quality distro.
Also atomic updates are just inherently more reliable than mass low-level package updates.

>>
>>107996057
>this bug only happens in the flatpak steam
It would clearly happen in Windows or non-Flatpak Steam if you have a very long user name or store Steam in a non-standard install location like a different drive. It's an application bug completely unrelated to Flatpak, as the other anon pointed out.
You could've actually tried and find a real bug instead of making shit up.
>>
>>107996057
look you stupid nigger faggot.
if your winshit program can't handle long paths, it's a winshit program bug. period.

You can shit and piss yourself in rage all you want, but it doesn't change the fact the software developers were incompetent. this is the same idiocy I remember during the npm and windows craze pre-wsl where you shitters seethed about an npm bug as if it's Windows' fault. There are documented ways to handle it, including a Application manifest solution and a global registry hack that bypasses the restriction.

No it compiles all the sources itself. Which was actually handy because this person is hard to even get links to articles about him on google. I think if you want to make edits to an article you would need sources, but maybe not. It basically does all the sourcing and fact checking by itself.
