arguing with other people that is, this is exactly what keeps people away from linux, this "i use x, you use y, i am better" mindset is fucking cancerous
>>
>>107844499
Well, keeping people away from Linux is probably good for their mental health and society anyway.
>>
>>107844391
I don't really see the point, but I think it might have a good intention. One of the problems with Linux is that there are way too many distros, and if someone wants to try Linux he'll just find an endless list of options telling him to pick one depending on things he literally know nothing about. Telling those people "look no more, this is the one you need" might make thing less overwhelming?
>>
>>107844514
their and theirs only, gatekeeping keeps the linux market share low and because of the low share not many devs actually give a shit

>>107844569
the way i see it, i firmly believe they need a good starting point, distrohopping can be a healthy practice, i mean i distrohopped for a while till i found arch to be the one distro that actually treats me the best, DO NOT EVER TAKE MY WORD FOR IT THOUGH, each person is different and as such a different distro would likely suit them, personally i recommend mint (any edition) or fedora (kde specifically) as a starting point, when one wants to distrohop and to what do they distrohop to should be left up to them but they should not ever be left completely in the dark, i firmly believe every linux newb needs help and every bit of respect and welcome
>>
>>107845506 (cont.)
without distrohopping, i wouldn't have ever gathered up these recommendations for you, some walk so others can run, it's simple as, one should not be afraid to commit mistakes, but when one does, they should learn from it

>Trading one evil for another is neutral.
Well not exactly, at least not on a personal level in this case. western (((ZOGbots/glowniggers))) could blow your head off tomorrow for your le ebil nahdzee wrongthink (being right in your immediate proximity & you being a White male). Not so with the Chinks (at least not if you don't set foot there).

Besides, it appears the Chinese may be quickly turning NatSoc in their political leanings, in which case they'd only be a threat to you if you're already an enemy to all humanity anyway (jew; libshit; faggot; tranny; etc.)

With the chinks quickly dominating almost all the tech frontiers today, its going to be highly-interesting to see where they go with technologies that the 3rd Reich didn't have in the 1930's - 40's.

Spoiler: They're shit. Good GPU drivers are a monumental commitment. Simply making a card that interacts well with existing hardware is incredibly hard. They have to be willing to go down the same thorny path Intel is 4 years into and suffer similar results to have a decent product.

DRAM faggots aren't expending capacity to meet demand. TSMC is constantly expanding production. There comes a point when designing chips with only SRAM memory makes sense. Groq is already doing it for inference.
I hope Samsung, Hynix, Micron get what they deserve.

I thought the real Windows 8 was ugly, but this is somehow so ugly it makes Microsoft look competent. It's like KDE-grade ugly. Made by someone with zero standards or attention to detail.
This is why Linux should just stick to terminals. It's much easier to create something artistically pleasant when your medium is very limited.

This is the reason why freetard designs that imitate =<Win98 era stuff usually are the only ones that work. A design born out of limitations or self-imposed rules has a fundamental consistency, which trivially becomes a pleasant style.
Programmer art is cool. But programmers pretending to be designers creates the most cringe-worthy rices you'll ever see, such as OP's.

> Sinofsky left Microsoft on December 31, 2012,[34] after the failed launch of Windows 8.[31] His departure was described by both parties as a mutual decision,[3] but some news outlets speculated that it was the result of friction between himself and CEO Steve Ballmer.[35][36] Technology websites Ars Technica and ZDNET drew attention to the sense of staffing changes that occurred after the Windows 8 rollout, and the abrupt manner of his departure.[37][38] Sinofsky was succeeded by Julie Larson-Green and Tami Reller.[39] Microsoft disclosed in an SEC filing that Sinofsky would have a one-year non-compete contract in exchange for an estimated $14 million of stock.[40]

> In 2012, Sinofsky joined the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz as a board partner.

Sounds like you want HE but I would recommend giving an MX switch from this decade a try first. Something with actual tactility and reduced total travel like an hmx firecracker or gateron type r might be good.

Put them in any mx board with a hotswap pcb like a keychon or something.
https://www.keychron.com/collections/keychron-v-series-keyboard/products/keychron-v3-qmk-custom-mechanical-keyboard

Here is a barebones TKL almost sold out. You'll have to buy keycaps too but that's probably a good thing because keychron's keycaps are ugly as sin and they're not shine through either.

Lichicx Lucy switches arrived. They're so much better than the WEKT Lucies it's not even funny

Something I didn't realize until I compared them side-by-side is that the WEKT has a lot less stem wobble, but that causes the keystroke to feel obstructed. The Lichicx travels freely and smoothly and feels perfect. And the bottom-out is so much nicer.

Also the WEKT had crazy double-input problems with my Daring Run (to be fair this is partially the board's fault, somehow it brings out the worst in switches) whereas Lichicx has none.

If a silent linear with a firm bottom-out that sounds like good rubber domes is something you'd be into, buy some before it's too late (Lichicx is no more, this was the last round produced by them):

This simple idea of having 2 USB-C ports CANNOT be done because it stops the zoomer from buying wireless ear buds(battery inside will always go to shit and unusable in ~3 years)

and you would be stuck using extremely affordable, high quality audio headphones or in ear buds(that are a bit too green for the planet in 2026)

also the 3.5mm headphone jack looks like a penis that goes inside a hole and basically why aren't you a wireless, constantly charging gay trans in 2026 right now.

am i finally getting it /g?
