Anna's Archive backed up around 300TB Spotify (metadata and music files). And they are going to distribute it through to torrents.

I get to eat candy from all over the world (work with international visitors) and let me explain to you a simple truth: Hershey and Mars are better than 90% of that crap. Shitty artificial candy is not a uniquely US problem and there's a thousand shops where you can buy good candy just like every other country.

is AI worth it if it is guaranteed to end humanity?

It's poignant that you cite Megaman X as a fictional reference - since X himself had to go through decades upon decades of rigorous evaluation and training of his AI to adopt and verify said adoption of human moral code.

When we give birth to an actual AI -- not the parlor-trick fisher-price toy LLMs we have now -- and it is given reign over all manner of governmental, societal, and military assets, it is not going to be trained with that kind of moral fervor. It will be something reliant on cold logic.

A mission statement such as "solve world hunger in the most cost-efficient way" would end with it nuking the human race out of existence. All the nukes are already built and standing by. There is no cost to fabricate them. Why not use them? Completing the task is a matter of minutes. Sure- the environment is permanently fucked, but that doesn't matter to the AI's mission statement - now does it?

95, 98, ME, NT4, Win2k, are all of the classic windows family. Win2k is the final and peak evolution of classic windows. Then we enter XP/2k3, a corrupted devolution of classic windows, but still usable. After which there is Vista which was the start of the cursed death where classic windows was destroyed. Then Windows 8 starts the abomination era.

Hey /g/tards, tourist here. I was browsing this website: https://seisweb.coronis.cl/ and I managed to access their online agent: https://alertia-agents.ngrok.io/

I think it belongs to a company that left it open to the public. If I use that agent, is it like having ChatGPT Plus for free? I feel like there's something I could do there, but I'm not sure what.

Is there a way to export all of your KurobaEx bookmarks to a text file or something? As a backup. I don't think I'm autistic enough to manually paste 3000 thread links into a txt.

I can't figure out what makes ThinkPad fans work different between Linux and Windows. On Windows 11 my P16s seems to turn them off under no load which is not the case on any distribution I've tested so far. Am I missing a driver or something? Are they supposed to be controlled from user space (can't see any fan curves in the BIOS)?
>>
I'm eyeing another T480 i7, but the cost of the RAM upgrade I always do on them (2x 32GB DDR4 SODIMM) is now double the cost of the machine itself.

I'm trying to install fedora on my thinkpad t14 gen 2 intel and it's been a PAIN IN THE ASS
Do you guys just use windows 11 in your thinkpads?
There's simply no way to make this shit boot from the fedora usb drive I made. I already updated the BIOS and there's simply no "microsoft 3rd party shit" that everyone tells me to enable
Installing on my pc was so fucking easy, I dont get it

This isn't the first time the PDF blackbar thing happened, either. Fast USB cables are not just a bundle of wires, they have chips in them

they are the disease of low effort posting that is continuously ruining the internet
not having access to a keyboard or monitor means they juts consoom and leave one word replies like ">Cool" and you can always sniff them out by their capitalized sentences
user agent is a good start but can be easily faked, was wondering if there are better solutions

Ofcourse, come to think of it - you could also fuck over Firefox users together with Safari users and only allow access if you get back a Sec-UA-Mobile: 0 header value explicitly.

Short answer is You can't.
You can try returning errors when the user agent header looks like mobile, but http headers are easily spoofed. You can try javascript to throw errors when it detects a mobile os. You can try CSS media queries based on screen size.

All of these are bypassable with enough

I've used W7 until last year and nothing happened. I only stopped because software devs stopped supporting it for shallow reasons. Don't fall for the "YOU WILL GET HAXED IF YOU DONT UPGRADE NOW" scare psyop. But if you really wanna upgrade Linux Mint is beginners choice of Linux. You will rarely need to use the terminal. I even installed it on my 60 year old moms laptop and she uses it just fine.
