So what is up with the hate for Flatpaks? They seem to work fine and with Flatseal you are able to fine tune their permissions. Is there a genuine reason to hate the format?

Some pajeet did tests on the 32GB SLC card
https://techtitbits.com/posts/sandisk-industrial-slc-microsd-card-review/

Looks like it has around 500IOPS for writes and 1500IOPS for reads. (got those numbers by dividing the Q1T1 4K MB/s speeds by 4K)
It just barely falls short of A1 speeds.

I didn't RMA it but was close, one of my monitors would briefly go black when I was using my datavac to clean my desk, eventually I changed my desk setup around and needed a longer power cable so I swapped them and the problem stopped. Since I have so many of those cables from previous PC builds I figured instead of keeping the old ones I would just cut into them and save the copper for future soldering projects only to discover this gem. Around 0.5m of the three internal cables was completely unshielded, picrel

Why is everything so shit these days? All this "feature" did was throttle my download speeds and make my laptop think that it was losing wi-fi connectivity every 5 minutes. The average person would just think that their laptop is defective.

CachyOS is the hip new gaymerr distro, anon.

Not noob friendly enough

Packages are too old to keep up with the latest nuhvidia drivers

idk it's probably fine
>Mint
Has the same problem as debian when it comes to games

ok for gaming but it's immutable (i.e. lacks customization)

CachyOS is user-friendly Arch with up-to-date gaymen packages which is why it's appealing to a lot of windows refugees

What would it take to manufacture CRTs on a commercial scale again in 2026 and the years to come?
Would it be more viable to buy existing IP/patent rights from the companies that used to be the leaders back in the day, or to re-develop the technology from scratch using modern means?

Theme: [Accepting suggestions]

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

Oversampling (and subsequent mandatory low pass) is to mitigate aliasing, which to my knowledge, is due in digital domain to anything nonlinear at audio rate (distortion, overdrive, waveshaping), FM or playing samples at higher pitches. Audio interfaces should have a low pass to cut anything that could alias but I don't know if that's always the case. What to I miss?
