Why is AI so hated?

It makes people stupid. When I learned about programming and Linux I had to search real hard and real the manuals to solve some problems. This lead to me actually learning and understanding the tools I am using.

Nowadays meaning just the last years people just asks the chat ai to do what they want to do. When asked what they just did they dont know.

When someone is stuck on a problem now. I think it is genuinely hard not to get tempted to use the chat ai to solve the problem instead of reading the manual and solving it by yourself. When the problem is solved, few people try to understand what the chat ai did to solve it.

Because it's so oversold and underdelivering that it gives off the impression of a very elaborate scam by the megacorps to inflate their stocks.

And it's getting pushed everywhere like it's the apotheosis of technology when it's not.

Rust assumes everything is going to be multi-threaded. It's a pain in the ass making some simple single-threaded utility with mutable global state (perfectly safe with a single thread).

I was watching total recall and the whole concept kinda made me think.
Why aren't memories copyrighted?
Let's use an example here; let's say I own an amusement park. People pay admission, ride a coaster and leave. But they still have those memories in their head of that time were on a roller-coaster outside of the parkt.
To me that's theft, they are basically reliving those memories rent free. So here's my question what would be a means to put digital rights on experiences like that?

Ofcourse only a kike could think up something as Jewish as putting DRM on memories.
This is 100% the path we are going but I can tell you now they will not stop when you own nothing but fucking subscription on memories.

HArd to do remote like this, the simplest way is to check out the OP txt in >>>/diy/ham where there are textbooks that tell you how to do this. You can also go for a /ham/ license, older mentors (called "elmers") can help a lot.
> how do I filter stuff if I don't know basic electronics?
You need to determine the frequency you want to operate on, the bandwidth you need and then enter this in a web based design system (plenty out there) and find the values for capacitors (you buy) and inductors (that you wind yourself) and just build the thing. Assume minimum 4 inductors.
>I don't have high power stuff, btw. just a few basic SDRs and nothing else, just for fun.
Even a milliwatt RF signal can be heard on different continents.

Could someone with virustotal premium download this file? It's called battlefield 4 checksum fixer and it isn't actually malware. It was used to edit the player config files (like increasing FOV or removing motion blur) for bf3 and bf4 on the ps3 the same way as it's done on the pc versions. It's relevant again because bf3 was recently revived on the ps3 after the official servers were shut down 2 years ago. There are no other working download sources for bf4 checksum fixer currently online.

Uhm..no. The graphical performance for example is almost entirely related to the GPU, which doesn't execute java programs.

You can see .dmg files as a remnant of how floppy disks worked. Back in the day you'd mount a floppy disk and either run the software from it, or drag it to your machine and then unmount it.
The installers are entirely different, usually they require some extra configurations being set system wide or a specific driver to be added, if you use an installer you will not have to drag anything.

Needing some advice on music players for Linux. Running Antergos. Installed a few, and so far the only viable option is Audacious, but it is missing some creature comforts that I got with foobar. Most importantly, I want one that will support some sort of convolver, since I have impulse waveforms for all of my cans. I am using a Schiit stack to play everything. Anyone have any recommended players?

is there any player that sorts by genre > band > album?
I spent years sorting all my music on windows, every player I tried on linux only sorts by band or band and album
I can't remember the name of a million different bands and albums, it's easier to just find them by genre, but when you do sort by genre it just throws them all together, when I want to listing to a whole album
>>
Besides the preinstalled Rhythmbox, I've tried Fooyin, Strawberry, and recently Musikcube. They're all cool but I think I might miss MusicBee from Windows (or at least the cool Tron theme I used on it). Anyway does anyone know if this is any good for adding replaygain metadata to my music?
https://github.com/complexlogic/rsgain
I rip CDs because why not and most of them need replaygain. Any alternatives would be great.
