not OP but I worked at goodwill while I was in college and I would not recommend anyone buy any sort of clothing or fabric from there. They don't wash any of it, and at least twice a week donation bags would come in with either human or animal shit mixed in with the clothes.

Also, my family is involved in the coffee importation business and those faggots made us rich, so they have our gratitude for popularizing it.

One day, China will show their carrier crews handling more than one task at a time. But today is not that day.
>>
>>64771650
>And why wasn't it?
Because you wouldn't have been able to finalize the Ford's design until the F-35 had entered serial production.
>>
>>64771672
Since when has the Navy cared about finalizing designs before building them? Hell, Kennedy is getting modified mid-production like the Ford might have been if the Navy thought that maximizing their risks was an advisable course of action. The Navy already had years of experience with the F-35B by the time the Ford entered service so nothing about it would have been a surprise.
>>
>>64771695
The Ford started construction in 2005, was laid down in 2009, launched in 2013, and entered trials in 2015. The Marines didn't even get their first F-35B for pilot training until 2012 (and they were based in MCAS Yuma picrel), the F-35B didn't enter service until 2015, and its first operational deployment at sea didn't happen until 2017, the same year the Ford was commissioned (i.e. "entered service"). So to design the Ford with lessons learned from operating the F-35B would have delayed the process by fifteen years, just in time for Covid to fuck up the construction schedule, then the usual debugging that comes from a new class of ship (especially one full of new tech built under the "concurrency" model) and the first Ford-class wouldn't be fit for deployment until what? The mid-2030s at least? No thanks.
>>
>>64771756
I'm glad we're in agreement that the Navy would have known about the F-35s quirks and logistical requirements years before the Ford was commissioned, and could easily have modified it to support F-35s prior to entering service, but chose not to because that would be fucking retarded.

that's a military reality retard, the US internal system allowing for its military prowess is reliant upon a pacifist populace that is not aggressively tribal and ethnocentric, thus excluding certain forms of warfare from your military repertoire, the fear of chinese intervention in north vietnam was also a military reality
>muh US K.D in vietnam
why do mutts always seem to forget the south vietnamese they claimed to have been helping in the first place? your 'allies' died in droves as well

yeah you guys could have 'won' your conflicts by nuking and genociding everyone, followed by your system collapsing from the implications and cognitive dissonance that would ensue from a humanist universalist society going Genghis Khan

even for strikes on Houthis, no Middle Eastern country would open the airspace for the US due to fear of retaliation. meanwhile carrier in international waters doesn't need any permission from other countries.

Not that anybody here cares, but I almost want to go out and shoot my SL7 lil' bro, SL6 today. So I did a search and found the Alcor as an SL6 equivalent. Oh sure, the Mini-14... yuck. Here's the Mr Rodgers version of gun reviews, USOG on the Alcor: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-k0fOLrsis
Just so comfy a reviewer. Unless you want provacative and controversial, unsupported opinions. He qualifies everything he says with "mine, for me" exceptions. I just trust he shoots more than /arg/onauts who scream
>turk shit! rreee!
At everything the have never handled. In USOG, I trust. I'll wait for the price to come down from $1400. The option is, they will hit the market with the better figured walnut first to impress. Financially, I'll wait.

a moving truck, presumably an MRLS, is targeted by a triangle-shaped drone. the drone then explodes about 3 meters to the front and left of the truck (assuming that the drone hit the ground. hard to tell)
not clear whether the truck was destroyed or whether it survived. what's more interesting is that the drone is either a geran being used to strike moving targets (so some new variant with decent terminal guidance), or an entirely new drone altogether.

this can't be russian footage. Too clean

I want a Makarov or Makarov adjacent pistol for EDC. I like the metal frame and the DA/SA design on a smaller sized gun. Because of the double action I would feel fine carrying it in my pocket without a holster if need be, provided it's small enough. My questions are whether 9x18 is enough for defense, which pistol I should get (PM, P-64, CZ-82, PA-63), reliability, viability of +P ammo?
54 replies and 13 images omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>64764663
If you look at FBI self-defense shooting statistics, 9x18 Makarov isn't even on that list. There are very good reasons for this, but its absence alone should be enough to reconsider.

Probably because of low ammo availability and 9mm Mak not being very popular to carry in the US. Objectively, the Makarov should perform akin to a Walther PP or Beretta 1934 with +P ammo, ergo not a cannon, but actually not terrible.

Where it falls short is good hollowpoint ammo, and being kind of bulky and heavy for its caliber and capacity. The CZ83 and Beretta 84 are roughly the same size, both being metal framed DA/SA .380s, but they hold a lot more rounds.
Those aren't cutting edge pistols either, but they just offer a lot more.

>>64771615
Collecting is a great reason to get and enjoy a gun, but I also can't in good conscience tell OP that this is a great idea, because it's in fact suboptimal.
I could also carry a cap and ball gun for defense, and it'll sure put an attacker in the ground if I do my part, but I'm needlessly stacking odds against me by choosing that.
>>
>>64771561
Moot point, considering it's so ballistically similar to .380, which is absolutely on that list.

You have a moderately sized military force and you have to deal with several hundred of these things. Here’s what you gotta remember about them:
>Nearly immortal, body can be damaged but the only thing that can kill them is fire
>sever a limb and it will keep coming after you
>burning them isn’t advised because the gasses inside will reanimate any corpses around them, including animals
>They do feel pain, from injury and their rotting bodies
>eating brains relieves said pain
>they’re very smart, able to fake calls for backup and set up ambushes
>speed depends on the state of decay, fresher corpses run like a human
>nuking them would kill them, but it would spread the trioxin gas further and make a bigger outbreak in the end
Well, /k/? You gotta get creative with this one.

If you'd remember, the military sent multiple units into the city to fight the zombies. We're only shown the fates of the one unit but it's all but explicit that the rest of the soldiers they sent in met the same fate until most of the zombies got fried by the power station.
