2010-2015:
IHI begins research on a next-generation fighter engine. The goal is a "slim" profile to allow for larger internal weapons bays in stealth fighters.

2014-2017:
Rolls-Royce begins the E2SG (Embedded Electrical Starter Generator) program. (Which would be early work that would lead to the XG240 concept)

June 2018:
IHI delivers the XF9-1 to the Japanese MoD. It achieves its performance targets: 11 tons of dry thrust and 15 tons with afterburner, while operating at a record-breaking turbine inlet temperature of 1,800°C.

Dec 2021:
The UK and Japan sign a Memorandum of Cooperation to jointly develop a Future Fighter Engine (FFE) demonstrator, effectively merging the XF9 and XG240 research tracks.

Dec 2022:
The UK, Japan, and Italy officially merge their programs into the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). The engine effort becomes a trilateral mission between Rolls-Royce, IHI, and Avio Aero

Hard to tell. It really boils down to what Germany wants and how far apart it is from France.

From initial designs made by the DLR (German NASA) which likely uses German MoD requirements the "German" FCAS would likely be more in the territory of an F22 in size, load and power. That means: mach 2 supercruise, high altitude, highly-maneuverable, high power output for EW suit and the economy to fly from West-Germany to loiter in.

The span between Germany's and France's requirement might be between 125kN and 145kN. Maybe not impossible to make such an engine with two derivatives for a German and French FCAS. Dassault maybe prefers to just further develop the m88. Hard to say.

jpc 2 status in 2017+9?
>>
>>64751211
People like it, you could probably find one used too. Other options exist that are newer like lv120 or arc 3, if you want something really light similar to jpc you could check out esstac daedon.

I ended up choosing defense mechanisms mepc, I have to wait another month before they finish it but they have a huge choice of camo and cummerbund, structured, laminate, elastic, hybrid, Velcro tubes roc etc. I chose the most expensive cummerbund tubes hybrid structural 5" plan to run side plates. It was $370 using a coupon code after adding plate bags so I'd recommend it on price, features, camo, quality etc.

Most these brands want you to pay premium and nickel and dime you on everything, I also don't need a zip on back panel that I can't get into. Decide what you want and see who makes the closest to that without paying for shit you don't that you have to pay more to get what you actually wanted

The main issue I have with Tasmanian Tiger is that their designs are straight up dogshit.
Check out picrel. It's like every bad idea rolled up into one carrier.
> Absolutely retarded "air mesh" that absorbs sweat, mud, and dirt, and makes the carrier only good for airsoft in mild climates? Check!
> Dual bulky shoulder buckles? Check! I hope you don't like shouldering your weapon, lol!
> Floppy, unreinforced, and weak-looking laser-cut MOLLE? Check!
> Floppy elastic cummerbund? Check!
> 2.2 pounds empty? Check!!
> $500?! YEAH!
And that's not even their worst carrier. Look up the "Anfibia". A $40 Amazon.com carrier puts it to absolute shame.
In fact, I don't think that TT have any good designs. Everything is deeply flawed in some respect.
Also, the quality is Airsoft-grade, and they've always been an Airsoft company. That's not even close to the biggest problem with them, though.

The F-35B is perfect for the PAF. We can have American pilots to fly the jets if the US is concerned about classified F-35 data being leaked to China

Already leaked by the likes of Israel and Chinkapore, if not by sympathizer Chink-Americans working for Lockmart

The FA-50s when not in use are locked inside temperature controlled highly secured hangars in Basa, Ebuen and somewhere in Mindanao

Not even maintainers and pilots can access them willynilly

Many seething Australians on /k/ have already been sounding the alarm since the US decided to sell the F-35 to Singapore as they believe it compromises Australia's air defense to China. While the US can afford to replace the F-35 with something new in 20 years Australians are going to be stuck with them for at least 50.
>>
>>64749980
>Americans decided to sell F-35 to Singapore.
>Doesn't realize that Singapore is another Communist China province.
>Singapore allowed PLAAF 'technician' to inspect the F-35 in the name of Chinese brotherhood and supremacy
>Just a year later F-35 got surpassed by advanced Shenyang FC-31 version.

I laughed hard when I saw news that the US is going to sell F-35s to Singapore. The moment those jets land in Singapore there is going to be an army of Chinese spies ready to dig into whatever areas they haven't stolen already

Thx for the pointers guys. I think if I'm already going through the hassle of importing stuff from LTT, I'd rather just wait for the full deal. I know I can always spend more money on the gun, but I'm just trying to get a "good enough" setup going. Rn i feel like the trigger pull is a bit too much, esp in double action, so I want to do smth against it, and I might as well do it properly. I know, I know, skill issue, but then again, I like the idea of taking the thing apart and getting to know it a bit better. And I need a good excuse to do it - a trigger job is such an excuse.

I try not to be a gunsoomer so I'd rather just have 1 pistol that I've kitted out and have come to know intricately, have shot a bunch in various setups, etc.
>>
At what age do you worry about older handguns?
>have an 80s H&R 22lr revolver i love
>run across a H&R Sportsman 22lr revolver at LGS, bought it waiting to pick up
I assumed it was the same vintage, 70s or something. Turns out its very early production, made in ~1932 (production ran until 80s)

Im not too worried about it since its 22lr and in pretty decent shape, but its definitely the oldest firearm I own.
Whats your feelings on old shit like that?

Im planning on buying some older 22lr bullseye/match pistols, but those all seem to be ~60s vintage.

Mengkagumkan.
With this most recent achievement, fate has, in a single puff, marked the decline of the west and China and spelled a new era of wondrous prosperity and peaceful global dominance for the Indonesian Garuda, which promises to firmly stand in sharp contrast to the historically bloody ascent of Chinese powers and the cruel subjugation it brought to the humbler nations of the world. The blessings of Indonesian plasma gudang garam, hypersonic indomie goreng, quantum Ayam Penyet, neutrino soto medan, gamma titanium mono crystal bakso, unmanned autonomous bootleg HoloID merchandise, magnetized plasma Dangdut and the genuine Restaurant Minang will be the instruments with which Indonesia affirms its noble construction of 21st century South-East Asian politics and offers the Asean a different option; an humanist alternative to the depredations of Western and sino leadership and the opportunity for a more equitable and dignified multilateral Kobo Kaneru.

Indonesia is one of the countries that will become a superpower someday and rival the US.Indonesia is now set to have a capable Airforce once these jets land in Indonesia early next year not to mention Indonesia is buying 5th generation stealth fighter jets from Turkiye.Indonesia also has long range ballistic missile strike capabilities thanks to Turkiye.

take note that indonesia see australia as frienemy. australia is a friend, but have high potential to become an enemy. if you read history about relationship between the two countries, the two countries already find them self as enemies many times in history. there's even a prophecy by king jayabaya from 7th century that said nusantara (indonesia) will go to war with it's southern nation (australia) to become the regional superpower that rule indian ocean and south east asia

Looking at how the US turns a blind eye to Israelis killing women and children, Indonesians fear they would be treated similarly to Palestinians if there were conflicts, for example, between Indonesia and Australia. Historically, Indonesia has been mistreated by the US and Australia before. Indonesian has more realistic view of relationship with Superpower.

In fact, Indonesia is the one who has to worry even though it is non-aligned but is surrounded by American military bases. such as in Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Australia, etc. there is a possibility that other countries will attack it to take its resources, for example, Australia, which has a military backup from the US, could help Papua become completely independent, especially as Indonesia's military equipment is much more outdated than Australia's. especially because Indonesia is flanked by China and Australia, where the issue will definitely be related to the blurred South China Sea and Australia's potential to help Micronesia push for the liberation of Papua... so maintaining and increasing Indonesia military strength is important

Very true. Germans 200 years ago knew this

The roof fell apart and it nearly went down because the outside brick is cooked but the inside brick isn't and would just wash away. Gutter water also had to be sent a metre or two away from the foundations to prevent further cracking in the walls due to sinking in wet clay.

Knowing nothing, looking at >>64720442 makes me wonder about rebar, does curving it's form reduce it's integrity? I imagine if it was that way as a consequence of bending it on site the same alloy capable of such wouldn't have the weight bearing capacity to not bend under load while curing, but say you mold, an alloy incapable of cold bending to the shape desired like a blacksmith would make a fancy iron gate then coat it. Would any issue arise?
>>
File: rebar_bender.png (327 KB, 608x608)
327 KB

>>64748012
It depends. Steel rebar comes in different grades, some are lower-carbon grain-agnostic and can elongate or deform a lot more at the cost of lower ultimate tensile strength (~280Mpa), they bend into eights or a knot without issues. The (roughly) 400Mpa tensile strength rebar that's most common on construction sites is a medium-carbon slightly grain-aligned version, it has a minimum cold bending radius allowed by code. Past that, high-carbon, highly grain-aligned stuff with >600Mpa >1000Mpa tensile strength has larger minimum cold bending radii, once you get past about 1500Mpa tensile they're usually made as twisted cable to retain the ability to bend.

>cures faster than normal
that's interesting
i've read about mixing coal ash particles into concrete, and that's supposed to make it stronger at the cost of curing slower
could you make the giga-nigga concrete mix also cure slower, without making it shitty? if it could be done, waiting an extra 30 days for it to harden seems worth it when you're building something that'll last a thousand years

Nothing overrated bout a Glawk. "Glock perfection" is a good meme but I think everyone knows there's nothing special to em. They're popular because they check all the boxes for blue-collar sensibilities - cheap, reliable, light, you can get one in any sane size & caliber combination you want, and it'll last long enough to pass on to your grandkids. That fits the bill for 90% of people.

I am about to import 80,500 of these indian hesbee 22 short single shot handguns. They are currently in transit being shipped from India.

They have sat in storage as they were built in 1959 as gunlaws became more restricted in India.

If you were in my shoes, how do I make this business venture successful.

I purchased each pistol at 2160 rupees (around 24$) and they cost me ($1500 for import and $5000 in shipping) so i am in for abit under $2mil.

Do you think people will actually buy these or should I put my house for sale ASAP?

Variable swords were monomolecular wires rigidified with a stasis field. Non-stasis uses did exist but tended to be variations of the same theme: really thin wire is unthinkably strong, so use it to cut things. One variant was a set of guided bolas in space, which could not be destroyed quickly because of course superconductors do not melt even when bathed in lasers. (Sure, the whole wire "instantly" heats to an averaged temperature, but that should still be many times the melting point. Niven seemed to put a miraculous superconductor of heat in any setting he could.)
