How well did it perform in combat?
>>
>>64757612
It was on-par with the T-34...
Which was pretty bad in the 50s when the Soviets were using T-54s in the same role.
>>
>>64757808
M41 is a light tank, you obnoxious asslicking vatnigger troglodyte.
>>
>>64757612
It was flawed and because it was flawed it wasn't really used much.
>>64757827
It was too big to be used in the reconnaissance role it was intended for and too poorly equipped to do much else. It did see combat against T-54s when they were used in Vietnam/Laos with mixed results.

To be fair on Vigil it's not that he was literally hours away from powering off, it's that he finally accomplished his final task.
I suspect he was sitting in an extremely low power state until Shep showed up and probably could've sustained it longer, but then used every drop of juice left to communicate the message.
>>64756442
There's some echoes of similar themes in the final game too. The Reapers say they're harvesting to preserve a trace of the uniqueness of species each cycle, and the purpose isn't just to control organics as they could but to allow different ones to spring up over time. Jarvis talks about how the Prothean empire being so dominant also undercut them, because everyone had roughly the same culture, equipment, technology and doctrine. You cut them all off from each other by turning off the relays, figure out how to deal with one pocket of them, then you've basically figured out how to deal with all of them. I suspect the original idea was that the Reapers were trying to see if new civilisations figured out a way around it, harvest any science they did that might've pointed to something or make their own collective's thinking more diverse through adsorbing them as new reapers.
Biggest problem I can see versus the final story is that there's really two conflicts now, the Reapers themselves and the dark energy entropy death of the universe and there's not really a neat way to combine them. Just showing the Reapers that you built the first ever solar powered mass relay and them turning off after or something wouldn't be satisfying. Maybe reworking the Crucible into 'the power to stop the Reapers', but you still need to sell why everyone's building this thing without knowing what it even does.
Only thing I could think is making it about finishing an ancient prototype that takes combining a bunch of cutting edge innovations from around the galaxy, everyone thinks it's a fleet-killer energy weapon instead of a tech demo.
>>
Reapers fighting the entropy of the galaxy from Dork Matter is a more suitable reason appropriate to the mystery and cosmic scale of the setting compared to AI plotline which the geth and quarians already address.

Its also appropiate that the main antagonist of the entire trilogy refers to the core theme and title of the series .... the Mass Effect

>M4 Faunts II

Why wouldn't something like pic related work fine as a "do everything" gun for a person living in the densely forested hills of Appalachia, where the power and ballistic advantage of a rifle simply isn't necessary?
>plinking will be good fun with the naturally subsonic .45
>definitely suitable for home defense
>easy enough to fit in a backpack, or take the can off and carry it on your person
>get some .45 Super for killing deer or hogs, or mess around with round ball loadings for taking small game or for pest control
Yes, it's true that rifles can be had for dirt cheap these days. And it's also true that there is no real reason to limit yourself to just one gun, especially a handgun. But in an autistic min-max fantasy where you literally can only own one gun and it has to be able to be carried 24/7/365, does a suppressed .45 automatic make sense? The only real downside I see here is that this is not the best option for summertime concealed carry in hot climates.

You don't have the mental capacity to participate in a discussion. You're lost bro. Threw my response into chatgpt. Even a dumb mlm could follow it. Maybe check with it like dementia patients do.

Yes—it does answer the post, and fairly directly.

The original post mocks an alleged spec (“62gr bullet at 1000 fps”) to dismiss the concept.

The reply corrects that factual claim (“half that weight at double the velocity”) and explains the intended use case (modularity via magazine change from .22 LR–like to .22 WMR–like performance).

So the response:

Engages the core claim (ballistics),

Refutes it with a counter-assertion,

Oh so you ARE doubling down that a subsonic round travels 2000fps. Neat. I assumed you misspoke. Now I see you are completely retarded.

You put your reply in chatgpt because you’re a noguns faggot. Normally I’d say this was excellent bait but you are far too serious for that.

You're tasked with building a kit to help Iranian resistance against the Ayatollah regime, the kits you build will be airdropped into Iranian territory in large dufflebags and then picked up by chosen operatives.

You have $3k per kit to try to arm an light resistance guerrilla fighter, you can only source items from the US civilian market. At minimum you should provide a rifle, a pistol, body armor, essential accessories and ammunition for both, as well as any survival or tactical implement you see necessary.

What kind of stuff do you pick?

Japanese Imperial Army was a conscript army that relied on poison gas to win battles against technologically inferior armies, whenever their conscripts got beaten up on combat.

Japan had to use poison gas dropped from bomber planes against Taiwan Aboriginals in 1930 after the primitive iron age Aboriginals kicked the asses of the Japanese army in ground fighting.

Japan used poison gas and lost at Taierzhuang, Wuyuan, Shanggao, Wanjialing to a technologically inferior army

Numerically superior Japanese used human waves against outnumbered Russians at the land battles of Port Arthur and Nanshan and they got slaughtered by the Russians.

Japanese lost more dead than Russians in both battles.

Japan was only saved by the Jew banker Jacob Schiff's loans and the British built Meiji fleet in the naval part of the war.

Japan sold over 100,000 Japanese teenage girls as karayuki-san prostitutes to Chinese coolies and Western colonies in the Meiji restoration to modernise their military and pay for that fleet.

>Could they be as bad ass as the Imperial Japanese Army?

Moro Muslim fighters with keris (daggers) and bolo (machetes) annihilated the Japanese army at the battles of Tamparan in 1942 and Jolo in 1944-1945.

Japanese soldiers like Fujioka Akiyoshi admitted to being slaughtered like animals by the Moros and their morale completely broke down and Japanese soldiers fought each other.

Taiwan Aboriginal soldier Buyan Nawi said he saw Japanese Yamato soldiers kill each other and eat each other.

Not eating dead corpses, but killing fellow Japanese for food.

The Yamato Japanese starved to death and dehydrated and begged the Taiwan Aboriginals to use their skills to find food and water for them.

I am about to import 80,500 of these indian hesbee 22 short single shot handguns. They are currently in transit being shipped from India.

They have sat in storage as they were built in 1959 as gunlaws became more restricted in India.

If you were in my shoes, how do I make this business venture successful.

I purchased each pistol at 2160 rupees (around 24$) and they cost me ($1500 for import and $5000 in shipping) so i am in for abit under $2mil.

Do you think people will actually buy these or should I put my house for sale ASAP?

Having read so far, some top ideas.

I'll add:
- sell here on /k/ marketplace, give is a special deal you can afford for a couple weeks or the first hundred you sell here or something

- set price at $75/$80 for a single unit, but price break for people who buy 5 at a time, like $250 or $300

(You) CAN document these are virgin, original 1959 manufacture, right? That makes them unusual collectables, so don't undersell yourself too far. If you're not getting action, put some on temporary price reduction every now and then at random shake up your market and get your buyers looking & waiting for discounts. The raffle idea is pretty solid, too.
