>>64765270i hope you die in an industrial accident you fucking subhuman chinksect
>>64765270Can't make your own thing so you copy it. I hope you fall through an escalator.
>>64765270>>64765270What? That's not 160th. Are Chinese pilots better than Chinese drivers? Why do they have like Xbox headsets instead of real helmets? The paint even looks cheap.
>>64765270Ok, here's the deal, only one of you gets the weapons. Everybody else follow and take notes.
OH-6 Cayuse EditionOld: >>64759721
>>64767295That's interesting and I think I will try this, though I'm a brainlet at circuits/electronics. Thank you for telling me about that.
>>64767141Yeah we're definitely coming at it from different directions and I acknowledge that for sure. I think for my uses it's still important but I'm also not trying to stay current with the firce on force meta so active emission isn't as big a concern to me and paper/steel. Different use cases (aka, the root of 90% of shitfests on /k/) Yeah I agree on the 203 and that's why I have both lol. Also, the Shorty-40 looks tits on an MP5, pic related SuperSafe MP5s are the funnest shit ever. Unfortunately my SD is bitchy about 115gr because it doesn't have the bolt velocity to ram my finger off the thing
>>64767398And speaking of chink lasers, behold! my latest retardation
>>64767405Those coupled mags are insane.
>>64767405Tell me more.
There's no real need to rehash why mechs don't work but what is the ideal jungle support vehicle then?
>>64766614
>>64766650Undergrowth is fine, you're making mountains out of molehills. The only way way these would be impassable is if these roots were 6 feet tall or something, at which point your mech would need to be 20 feet tall.
>>64754746Tank tracked Snowmobile/ATV crossover.
>>64765513I had to work with Sora a bit to get the same idea, I can't find the fan book about the Chi-Town/Old Chicago bike/car scene in Rifts earth. This is close enough, Glitterboy/Motorcycle troopers. There was a whole spec sheet and shit I wish I could find a copy.
>>64766659Maybe it's a greek thing?
>Working powered exoskeletons have been real for nearly 20 years>Working laser turrets have been real for nearly 20 years>Working railguns have been real for nearly 20 years>Working plasma cannons have been real for over 30 years>Autonomous robots that understand simple commands have been around for over ten years>People act like drones are the most advanced weapon around when we've been using them since WWIIWhat gives? Why is everyone still pretending that we're living the 20th century? People are so tired of waiting for these weapons that they're building the things themselves in their garages.
>>64758923I'm surprised there aren't any out there but he does seem like a relatively private guy desu
>>64751260>no news in 30 yearsIt's fucking dead, Jim. Yeah it's cool to imagine there's plasma cannons stashed away somewhere but nothing about it was so paradigm-shifting as to warrant turning it into a real black project (which might explain the radio silence) and capacitor and battery technology hasn't advanced far enough to make the thing feasible for anything other than a giant fixed installation (which would be totally pointless).
I would like to know why this guy's name keeps popping up in glownigger speculative capabilities threads. He appeared in the sub-diffraction limit ISR thread a few days ago. What does this nigger REALLY do for Raytheon, besides Vice President-ing? It's not a coincidence that everytime some speculative black project is mentioned, this dude's name pops up somewhere in a related research paper.
A lot of "sci fi weapons" are in use and have been in use for a while, they're just in forms that people don't recognize as "a sci fi weapon" because they're normalized.Like heat rays. We have heat rays. They're called "flamethrowers".>um but that's not a laser or a beam of light orExactly my point. The whole purpose of a heat ray is "it sets things on fire at a distance", and if you try to use light by itself then you're just wasting energy because light ironically isn't a good transporter of heat unless it is at scale. But do you know what is a good transporter of heat at small scales? A stream of burning chemicals that have been partially vaporized. There's your heat ray, you're welcome.
>>64762267>>64762271Little differences in power are somewhat irrelevant when a single watt is enough to instantly blind at significant range.Goggles will be common, but they're a cope, you need to know beforehand what your enemy is using and green, blue, and red are all very common. Multi color lenses drop visibility so much that forcing your enemy to use them is an advantage in itself. The only solid solution is totally blocking off the eyes but that's basically a money-check on your enemy.
You're tasked with building a kit to help Iranian resistance against the Ayatollah regime, the kits you build will be airdropped into Iranian territory in large dufflebags and then picked up by chosen operatives. You have $3k per kit to try to arm an light resistance guerrilla fighter, you can only source items from the US civilian market. At minimum you should provide a rifle, a pistol, body armor, essential accessories and ammunition for both, as well as any survival or tactical implement you see necessary. What kind of stuff do you pick?
>>64759156Why did you say frag grenades twice?
>>64757950What's the endstate and mechanism? I don't understand the internal politics of Iran enough to identify who is the faction that we are supplying and what they need. Sure dropping weapon loot chests all over Iran would randomly arm different peoples, but I don't understand how that does anything to support American foreign policy. Please educate me.
>>64757950>(((Iranian resistance against the Ayatollah regime,)))Does it even exist?
>>64758367Anyone who starts their post with “ah yes” is from Reddit
>>64767392Of course not. They only got a economic crisis, a water crisis, electricity shortage and their military got humiliated for all the world to see.Oh and a secret police that occasionally arrests, tortures and executes folk for no reason. Why would they be mad?
>nearly 80 years>barely any changesHow did they get it so right?
>>64766303>62x39mm>62mmAAAAAAAHHHHMOTHERLAND
>>64766546The economic writing was likely already on the wall by the 1970s, which probably motivated the "Just make the AKM but in the new caliber."
>>64766303Just put this before the "first" model, pidors can't innovate anything besides industrial espionage
>>64767363>t.
All things precision shooting, no experience necessary. Discuss rifles, barrels, action, glass, loads, groups, competitions, and anything else related to the pursuit of tighter groups and longer shots.

Does anyone here shoot movers?
Anyone have a scope recommendation for a mk12? Ive got a $2.5k budget. This is my first sniper build…Not sure how much is too much.
USA spent on average 250 000 bullets per kill in Afghanistan & Iraq.
>>64759962>Please tell me that this is not the current state of the RuAF??It isn't. They're on horses and donkeys now.
>>64766359Yep, it's Kirk. Fuck off to a boomer blog Kirk. For the weight of your German fetish a soldier could carry a Carl Gustav M3A1 with the smart scope, extra batteries and five (5) HE 448 programmable airbursting shells.
>>64766363No, it's the exact same equivalence. Weight of a thing vs weight of additional ammo.
>>64767065Or I could carry less tripod.
>>64758680Actually they had about a 1:1 ratio with the US trained Afghan forces so counting them most likely the Taliban has a superior kill ratio than the Us forces
Wish people talked about late-war allied ''wunderwaffe" more often, and not only about muh ''gaymun weapons''.>ASM-N-2 Bat>VT fuze>M3 Carbine>Sikorsky R-4>T26E4>Ryan FR Fireball>Centurion I>Comet I (A34)>F8F Bearcat>P80 Shooting star>Gloster meteorGet it through your fucking head Weheraboo niggers. Germans never stood a fucking chance.
>>64766788unironically yes
>>64765960Centurion shat all over your overenginerred kraut shitbox.
>>64767017>Centurion shat all over the panther >even dough the Panther had a higher top speed, lower weight, a better power-to-weight ratio, a better operational range, superior cross-country mobility, better situational awareness, and a more versatile main gun
>>64767062So that's a yes.
>>64767013I have some news for (You) anon...
UN peacekeepers should be armed to the tits. I'm talking tanks, artillery, jets, high training & standards for every soldier. Hell give them fucking nuclear weapons, arm every infantry man into high hell and train them into guerilla warfare & build emplacements. Then you take them, force them between two countries. And if either side tries to attack one another, you kill anyone approaching the border. You bomb bases near the boarder and shoot down any planes. And if they somehow get close to destroying this peacekeeping force, you nuke them.>But how do you fund it!You force everyone to do fund it. 0,5% of GPD from every country on earth, if they don't their government will face the wrath of the peacekeepers. Its a positive for more peaceful countries that don't want to maintain massive militaries due to lower military spending. This would also make the world much more stable which is good for making money as well.
>>64766111When it happens it's actually based but politics are gay https://thestrategybridge.org/the-bridge/2017/9/20/trigger-happy-autonomous-and-disobedient-nordbat-2-and-mission-command-in-bosnia
>>64766111Will we ever return to the dream?
>>64766111No you will get random soldiers from random countries who volunteered their soldiers for money or experience. Also who wants to die for the UN? UN peacekeepers from first world countries are willing to fight because they have some interest in preserving their dignity but the third world soldiers are just there for a paycheck. But more importantly who wants to die for the UN and why are you so invested in the UN?
>>64766111The UN answers to bureaucrats with conflicting interests AND only operates where they do by consent of the (official) parties involved. The only situation in which a UN peacekeeper would so much as raise their voice, let alone open fire, is if they are already taking very heavy fire and they'll die if they don't try fighting back.Unless it's a shithole in Africa, in which case the rules of engagement are "have fun"
>>64766111Also all the troops should be exclusively from Ireland
I know it's not Saturday yet, I don't care, I luv me cats and I luv me gats, simple as. Post your cats (or any animals for that matter) and your gats.
I like my guns not smelling like piss, the permeating smell in all cat owners house is filth.
>>64764498>>64764512fags
>>64764773Nigger
>>64764495Is now Saturday. No gats but double kats. They will be providing overwatch for ourmission.
>>64764495Now that's an impressive arsenal. Are You going to go full WW3?
Reloading generalMy press after sizing/depriming/cleaning primer pockets of over 6,000 pieces of .45 Auto brass. My die is an undersized die from EGW. They have Lee custom make dies .003" undersized to eliminate Glock bulge on brass. With my RCBS dies I had some rounds not fit in a match chamber.
Thoughs on the seating depth for these .45 SWCs? My last batch were seated at this depth and worked, but looking at commercial loads I'm wondering if they're too deep?Cartridge overall length averages 1.214" with these X-treme plated 200 grain bullets.
>>64765535Have you looked at a reloading manual? You will see different loads for the same weight jacketed vs plated bullets.
>>64767175>different loads for the same weight jacketed vs plated bulletsYes. Adjust levels accordingly. You can load lead/plated/jacketed .38s, 9x19mm and .45 Auto with the same powders, different amount per projectile type and weight. What you're suggesting by saying:>I reload with a powder that's meant for FMJs and use plated bulletsImplies some powders are intended exclusively for one or the other.
>>64767201>Implies some powders are intended exclusively for one or the other.Exactly friendo
>>64767333>ExactlyNo. Show me 3 examples please. What book are you seeing this in?

It would appear I caused a little controversy amongst our noshoots. I'm just a guy ok
>>64767282all is lost....there are no other options.
>>64767241>>64767266It was like $685 from distributors so typically ~800 is around where it should be. Holosun is about to mog them and eotech might get in on the action too. Apparently their closed emitter eflx is coming. So maybe we will get closer to the 700 end soon.
I wish vortex figures out their shit with defender, the glass is so good
Writefag here, I’m looking for real “out there” firearms that are advanced looking but not too impractical for my sci-fi setting.
>>64765002The chamber would be right around the red line. There's 0 room for a bolt, let alone the fire control components. It's pure fantasy made by some noguns retard. They never take things like this into account.
>>64766730if you use a bolt like that of the TKB022 (?) (that bakelite ultra bullpup), you could make it work
>>64766678VBR is a treasurehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuGXXLO6fxo
take your pick
>>64766902This is more accurate.
When I submit a 4473 to a shop in order to buy a handgun, will I be flagged if I've admitted myself (voluntary) to the mental hospital for major depression, in Seattle, WA? I have no criminal record, ostensibly not on the police's radar, I've never even applied for a CPL and gotten my prints recorded. HIPAA keeps me out of the federal background check, no? Not currently on medication, haven't been for a year or so.
>>64766684And what if that person's life has been nothing but bad luck and suffering? They call suicide a selfish action, but it's more selfish of the loved ones to see suicide as a betrayal
>>64759441In NY they flag you for fucking insomnia and being sad if your wife dies.
>>64759441>HIPAA keeps me out of the federal background checkread the question on the form but if you can't handle that then maybe video games or nerf are more your speed
>>64759597Misdemeanor False Witness. They never charge anyone with it though or it's a plea deal lever.
>>64759735I’m convinced the psychotic suicidal people are what meds screw up in the first place.
