Are Zerg weapons realistically comparable to Protoss and Terran weapons? It seems like both should have the weapons to wipe out the Zerg without that much difficulty.

>It's HOTS's storyline that's jank as hell
The fact that they clearly started with Kerrigan going full villain (e.g. designated Protoss torture chamber room on Leviathan concept art) only to realise this'd make the last campaign dumb as fuck and had to try and retool it into a half-baked redemption arc shows. They practically managed to get the worst of both worlds.
>>
>>64744167
>restored "good guy" Kerrigan captures a Protoss
>tortures her and explodes her with a chestburster-style alien to take over and wipe out a Protoss ship
>it's okay because these Protoss were kinda cunts anyway
>and they're not those Protoss
SC2 is way too short for this kind of complexity
besides, it's clear that the story was not actually completely written before they made the campaign, because they could have at least made her victims Alarak's Protoss instead of Artanis's Protoss

they also might have saved it by making HOTS concurrent with WOL instead of sticking to the successive timeline

all kinds of things they might have done, but it's clear that they rushed the story and dropped a lot of balls

fuck off retard, go see a shrink

How the fuck do you even make mechs make tactical sense?

They present a high as fuck target, have these thin chicken legs with a million moving parts, exert ludicrous ground pressure. They cost probably as much as a nuclear submarine, are limited by line of sight, would be fucked up by a tank, couldn't touch a modern jet that could kill it from 30000 feet high and 10 miles away etc.

Like how the hell do you bend the rules of your universe to make these

I wouldn't be sperging out about this if Battletech was lemonade sci-fi running on the rule of cool and the power of friendship, but its intended audience was milsim autists who willingly bought hundred-page pretend technical manuals for these pieces of garbage.

Any other requirements? Ganzo has a bunch of clones of US knives that are better than Temu slop. Used to carry one of those.
Kershaw Leek is a slim pocket folder that's great if you're just cutting tape and paper and it has won awards for the design.
Civivi is also a good budget brand.

If you want a budget OTF there are some Microtech clones on Ali / Temu but YMMV with quality. I would go for them before Cobratech...

>Well well well, and Neetmaster said these were /bag/ ghosts!
I found the old web listing for these. They went for $1,570 a plate in 2013. Adjusted for inflation, that's $4,370 a set. That's... a lot of money for plates. I'll give you the good and the bad:

>Good:
1. These are second-shelf Ceradynes, made when that company was in the latter half of their prime, from 2008-2012. Made for a special SOCOM contract alongside the even more $$$ MH3 CQB. These are like BALCS-on-crack plates, basically.
2. These are marginally lighter than a normal ESAPI at 5.32lb SAPI M vs 5.45lb SAPI M.
3. This is an IMP/ACT series Ceradyne and incorporates an extremely robust crack arresting solution. It is rated for multiple .30-06 M2AP, versus a regular ESAPI's 1.6 at the time, and reportedly no less than ten 7.62x39mm BZ API versus only three as per basic ISAPI / ESAPI reqs. That is the second highest BZ API multi-hit of any monolithic ceramic plate. For comparison, a Hesco 4800 is only good for three. Protech 9812-R1 five. BZ API consumes more strike face area than say, M855A1. It's a good round for testing crack arresting.
4. The point is that this plate can take shots MUCH closer together than a normal ESAPI can. This is good for close quarters if you get hypothetically mag dumped, Mike Day style.

>And time for the bad:
1. These are only compliant to NIJ 0101.04 per the below webpage, so drop resistance is sketchy.
2. These are nearly old enough to vote and most likely saw use.
3. Some later Ceradynes around 2011-2013 were recalled due to critical delamination issues.
4. Unlike REV. G onward ESAPIs, these have no known capability against M995.

Cs will still be cheaper than Bs despite the economy of scale and guns don't matter in the 21st century.

> the USN had a strong preference for twin engine for reliability and they also wanted it multirole out of the box
F/A-18 maintainer here, I know of at least a dozen incidents just during my two hitches where we would have lost a single-engine plane and the Hornet made it home. That's just one airwing. Bird strikes, sucking freak spray on launch and flaming out, engine fires 300 miles offshore, a lot of shit happens that would be a hell of a lot less of a problem if your only divert option wasn't a postage stamp doing 15 knots upwind.

>>64740773
Because the Air Force uses bigger and heavier EWAR birds. The Growler is loosely based on one of the Scandie early-block Hornet variants, they wanted to use the EWAR pods off of the Prowlers on their birds. It took some hilarious tomfuckery with the software (and internal shielding..) to make that happen. The Growler was designed from the ground up to fully replace the EA-6 instead of just being an expedient conversion like the Prowlers themselves, and it had some nice knock-on effects for the rest of the Super Hornet program.
Also the name makes Brits laugh their balls off, which is a plus in my book.
>>
>>64744511
And the RAAF operates As which are cheaper than both.
I would think branching out into Bs is more likely than Cs, since getting their LHDs refit is at least theoretically possible and it'd be the most bang-for-buck in terms of interoperability with local allied navies. Not sure if US carrier decks can take it, but it'd get them LHDs from the USMC and JMSDF, and the RN's ramp carriers if they're ever in town. Plus I think the USMC has the most permanent presence in Australia of the US branches so cross-training would be easier.
It'd make more sense to buy the model they could theoretically operate off their own ships than to buy a model they could only operate off US ships.
To be clear I think they're plenty satisfied with having a majority 5th gen fleet that can roll over most of the region without breaking a sweat already, I don't see them pursuing other models. But if they did I think the B would be the pick over the C.
>>64744535
Australia had half their superbug order already installed with certain wiring looms and shit for future Growler conversion if they wanted it, which I thought was interesting. They liked the plane enough that they bought 12 new production Growlers instead of converting 12 of their current planes, but it's interesting the EW variant really is just hanging some extra shit off.

It's more than *just* that, but for the wiring you have to take the birds back to depot level and spend several days fucking with them, then several more verifying that everything is properly set up. The clip-on/drop-in parts are much, much faster and all of them are O or I-level.
