Need to know if I've been pooping myself with this, been using it for years
OG /k/'s recommendation ca. ~2007 was to buy a quart of royal purple or an equivalent synth. oil.20 years later I am unironically convinced we were right. The gun oil industry, to include the gay kommando lubeshit, is an absolute scam/snakeoil industry.>hurr but this oil protects against rust!>durrr but this one is for machine guns!Marketing retard bullshit.Buy lube/oil, expect to reapply it regardless. Simple as.
>>64754517>>64754594I think what we forget is how many noshoots there are though. If you use and in turn clean your gun regularly then anything decent is fine and cheapness matters. But tons of people buy a gun and it sits around 11.99 months out of 12. Maybe some of the lube shit makes more sense then. That farm youtube did show there were differences in rust and such between oils over long periods. Kind of a frustrating thought though. Just fucking shoot more. Also I think suppressors are an exception. Except for 22lr I don't clean them almost ever, they only need it after like 4000-10000 rounds. Shit is pretty built up at that point though. Feels reasonable it'll need something strong to soak in for a bit. Maybe I should buy an ultrasonic instead though?
>>64754550>OH NOES THE PRICEBecause relative to any other application that uses niche and expensive lubricating oils firearms have hands-down the highest profit margins in the industry. Go ahead and scammed though. Sorry for finding you a better deal.

>The Americans can no longer be trusted>Russia is threatening>China is threatening>The Americans are threateningWhy don’t all countries just acquire nuclear weapons? If sufficient numbers of countries take this step then all threats of sanctions from non-compliance lose their significance. Israel already set the precedent by showing how nuclear weapons inspections and the sanctions tied to them have no meaning.First one should build a large stockpile of nerve agents and genetically modified biological weapons so that deterrence remains in effect while the bombs are being built. Olympic pools of VX being pumped to cheap drones with spray tanks would be enough since the poison will remain in the terrain as microscopic droplets for months thus neutralizing enemy population centers even if the vast majority of launches are intercepted.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGE_oMVJ50I
>>64754069>Europe has essentially been coasting on the societal wealth accumulated pre-1914How can people say wrong shit like this so proudly on the internet? Sweden for example was third world status pre-20th century, then it rose to one of highest quality of lives on the planet.
>>64754354Sweden is like 2% of Europe, I applaud its success, but going from a poor irrelevant country to a rich irrelevant country doesn't change much. Obviously what I'm saying is an exaggeration and I apologize for being overly conclusory, but the broader point remains, Europe, especially its major powers, have been in relative decline on the world scale for a long time. This is a problem for the U.S. because every day our friends become a smaller share of the world economy, military power, and population. If in the long-run, Europe goes to zero (and the trend has been Europe consistently lags behind global growth rates) we do need to think carefully about how to safeguard American interests.
It's crazy how treacherous euros are and the moment they're asked to do anything (which would be in their own interest) they throw a fit and double down on their treachery. I always knew this was their nature, but the real eyeopener was when they screech about supporting Ukraine while completely undermining US sanctions. I'm 100% convinced that heavy US military presence is the only reason western Europe hasn't snaked itself and started another war (not with Russia, with themselves). If the US packed up and left, the continent would devolve into another war within a decade because it's a continent of backstabbing, selfish, evil creatures. The european populace are genuinely the worst allies in the world, fortunately for them, they're ruled by bureaucrats that allow the US to tard wrangle them.
>>64754425This is a little harsh. However, as a former NATO fanboy I've been a little turned off by how quickly so many Euro's reaction to Trump II has been "fuck you America we're going to dump all your treasuries and ally with China." It made me realize we really are nothing but a paypig to a lot of Europeans.
>>64754425That might actually be better since it would force them to be racist and kick out all the darkies, which might have the knockon effect of letting US do it. Globohomo is shit and everybody who isn't a libtard(cuckservatives are also libtards) or a jew hates it. Ironically those who benefit the most from Globohomo are the collective forces of Gulaghomo, the Ruskies, Chinks, and assorted muds. They are deliberately treated with kid gloves and in the case of Chinkland given preferential treatment for decades. I really hope the US hegemony falls tomorrow only to be replaced with a genocidal white nationalist American Empire just to see their faces when they get what they wish for.Lets be clear that GDP is bullshit because you have claim to have a giant GDP by selling hostess cupcakes to obese niggers who buy them with food stamps. China's GDP is 20% ponzy schemes and 50% subsistence level slavery for example. The USSR was considered very stronk back in the day, but both the shit we got from their archives in the 90s and the more recent revelations about Rusky gear and organization make it abundantly clear they were vastly overestimated at the time. Europe could be a major player and the US could solver essentially all its problems just by being racist assholes, its really that easy.

>>64754533They weren't. Germany's pilots weren't better, but when you're outnumbered in the sky there's more opportunities for aces since it's hard to get 5 kills when there's barely any Luftwafffe in the sky to shoot down.

>>64753541The concept is surprisingly old, you have the ITL Mars and the EOLAD too in this category of red dots with lasers built in. I am about to import 80,500 of these indian hesbee 22 short single shot handguns. They are currently in transit being shipped from India. They have sat in storage as they were built in 1959 as gunlaws became more restricted in India. If you were in my shoes, how do I make this business venture successful. I purchased each pistol at 2160 rupees (around 24$) and they cost me ($1500 for import and $5000 in shipping) so i am in for abit under $2mil. Do you think people will actually buy these or should I put my house for sale ASAP?
where would you even store 80,000 guns. in your house?
>>64754718Considering it was only $5000 to ship all 80,000 they can't take up that much space. They're tiny pocket pistols. You could probably fit them all in a storage locker.
>>64754718>>64754771Assuming each box is about 8 cubic inches (.75" by 4" by 3") it's a shade under 4500 cubic feet. A standard ISO container is a bit over 1300 cubic feet. With room for error and pallets, it's around four shipping containers' worth. So not completely unmanageable. Shaving an inch off the box in either dimension, or just packing them into crates, could well cut that down to something like two shipping containers. It's still madness but if you've got property or a large shop then it's not gonna break his back.

>>64754820>>64754771okay, i guess but its still fucking absurd lmao. theres literally no way this will be profitable unless he figures out how to sell it in massive bulk as is. if you spend 1 minute per gun, thats 55 solid days of work, nonstop to do anything. youd have to sell these in batches of 1000 to make it even worth the time, and even THEN, thats 80 different gun stores that hes going to have to find, convince to buy a 1000 fucking single shot .22 short relics. this will be his problem for literally years, if not the next decade lmao

>>64753235I bought a sportsmans, it's no target rifle, took it to the range to double check that it shoots where you point it.
>>64753235I mean, yeah, though in fairness it might get more traction if it lasts until the weekend, and in summer. At least where I am it gets dark by 5pm and I'm not setup for night precision target shooting right now though that'd be fun. I can't usually get to a range in the middle of the work week.
Shot at my 38mm steel targets, couldn't tell if I hit it except for hitting the holding bar twice out of 25 rounds from about 25 metres.

be me no guns in ny browsing for high power diodes at 8pmstumble upon this monstrosity "KX260 DIY Laser Cannon"claims 260 WATTS of optical powerfor reference a fucking 1W laser blinds you, and a 6W Sanwu burns wood instantlythis thing claims to be 260Wthat is literally a quarter of a microwave oven concentrated into a beam"Range: 50m" (probably the range at which it instantly ignites clothing and coons)"Battery life: 5 years" (nuclear diamond battery? or just lies?)"Fast charging" for when you need to melt a tank column at 8 AM and be home by noon.Is this actually real? The specs imply this is an industrial rust cleaning laser repacked into a handheld "cannon." If the 260W rating is even 10% legitimate, this is not a mere laser pointer, it's a war crime with a handle and possibly the most fucked up thing I can legally point at some mans eyes. Also I get ads for it on instagram 24/7. Should I buy it?
>>64754171>>64754183I'm not that anon. If I were, I would have just bought the thing...with a credit card, for my own protection. I would have also bought some protective eyewear because high powered lasers are not to be fucked around with, also for my protection.>prepaid cardNah, I like getting cash back on purchases and I feel safer making questionable purchases with someone else's money. >>64754321I could see a big market for car-window shielding.
You can't be in a room with a 20watt laser unprotected. There's no way in hell it's putting out even 5 watts of laser.Complete and total bullshit.>but in the video the power supply was set to 55v and 25 amps!Might not have actually been connected to anything. Also those are limits settings. A device draws what it draws, a PSU can't force electricity into it.Also they didnt show the power supply during use. Also they are indians with very bad English.
>>64754165>>64754056Usually these things are pulsed lasers so the time averaged power is way lower
>>64754321I called this happening in 2020 but it didn't pan out. Going to be ugly when it does.

>>64749861I thought that game was really cool until about the 4th level where everyone turns into a bullet sponge and you have to use a long barrel 5.56 to kill people because the G3 doesn't hurt I guess.
>>64751380Tell me about these mods. I always thought that Daggerfall was badass for actually having a huge map, but I never figured it was really worth playing in this day and age if you could only see like 25 meters out.
Nothing will ever beat counter strike sources modded servers. I had so much fun in its peak nothing will likely ever match it again.
>>64754786The mods I use for the terrain and view distance are 'World of Daggerfall' and 'Distant terrain'. They just make the actual terrain nicer and let you see further. I have a fuckload of different mods for graphical, UI and visual changes that just make the game a bit nicer to look at. DREAM is pretty good but i'd recommend the DREAM 90's version instead since it retains a bit of the pixely look that gives daggerfall it's charm. I'd recommend AGAINST the 3d trees mod unless you have a sufficiently beefy PC since it can really fuck up performance if you use the distant viewing mod. Overall though, just shop around the nexus mod pages since you can usually find a bit of everything. The only tricky part of daggerfall is getting past the fact that it is a TTRG at heart, and not a general action adventure game.
>>64754347Sounds neat
Do you guys think actual dogfighting will ever come back? What technology/weapon developments would be necessary for this to happen?
>>64754305>You could get to the point where stealth and countermeasures are so good that missiles can't kill reliably. In such a scenario your only option may be some type of unguided kinetic weapon that can't be soft-killed.DEWs will still be an option, the same developments that'd make them viable countermeasures and neutralize missiles will make them effective at fucking up a bigger aircraft too. Might see countries get serious about hypervelocity kinetic guns, railguns or coilguns too I guess.Though I don't think traditional dog fighting would ever come back at this point, it'll still all be computer controlled and if anything would accelerate eliminating pilots from the ASF role. If you really do have to go closer range and higher energy maneuvers become valuable, then not having the g-force limitations of a meat pilot is just too big an advantage. Drone will also have full spherical all around fusion vision, both optical and a lot of other shit. Be an interesting new arms race in some ways, but not a return to anything old either.
>>64754198F-16N is my 2nd favorite F-16 after the YF-16.
>>64754198Isn't it just bound to happen anyway when things get real messy?
>>64754706In theory yes, if both sides expend all missiles and neither side chooses to disengage, a guns-to-guns dogfight WILL be forced, since that's all anyone has left. But it's not the first and only choice like it was before the development of missiles.
>>64754706No, because any pilot who was smart enough to earn a slot isn't going to be dumb enough to try and go guns against an opponent who he doesn't know 100% is out of missiles, doesn't have back up, and isn't baiting for a SAM site instead of just RTB and rearming to go chuck missiles again.
There's no real need to rehash why mechs don't work but what is the ideal jungle support vehicle then?
