The arrows they are using have bladed hard steel tips and they dont show that impressive performance. >>64744753PA (nylon) is an engineering plastic. And PETG is worse than worthless, it doesn't do anything that PLA+ can't do better except for marginally more heat resistance, but most applications that require heat resistance require more than the extra ~10C you can get from PETG.

As for Algeria we could have razed Algiers with constant bombing and no one on the international stage would have done anything, but unfortunately de Gaulle clearly had a misplaced pity for the Algerians

I can’t believe it took a 30 minute video to say what we already knew, which is that 10mm Auto is the superior automatic handgun cartridge, and that only after having to water it and then .40 S&W down for the women, manlets, and fags in the FBI did they just settle on 9mm because there was no difference at that point. Amazing.>But muh fire rate!Literally doesn’t matter in a combat scenario, doubly so if your shots don’t actually land. Paul Harrell already established this in his 1986 Miami Dade shootout analysis. I’m only being slightly facetious.>You will *neutralize the target after only a single round of 9x19, this has been documented repeatedlyOnly if you land a hit on the central nervous system, or on a large-enough blood-carrying organ or venous tissue with enough destruction so as to cause rapid bleeding and seemingly immediate incapacitation. A more powerful (meaning better penetrating and larger-expanding, energy is useless) round more reliably accomplishes all of these, so why wouldn’t you carry it? The only reason not to is if you’re too weak and small to, in which case, that’s fine, you can have your lol9mm, but you shouldn’t be in law enforcement.>That's great for larger game but returns eventually diminish, anonYou’re basically just saying “nuh-uh” because you don’t have an actual rebuttal. >>64717847Tanegashima use cheek for contact and not shoulder because of that exact issue. The solution is an electrical magnet on the stock and armour that the soilder can activate when the stock is in position using a button on the gun.The problem is not that you can't rest the stock of a gun on your armour, you can as long as it's short. The issue is that it slides off the plate when you make contact with your cheek and get down on the rifle. If it's stuck to your shoulder with a strong magnet, it should be sturdier than usual along as the armour is well fitted.
>>64717812roger.
nah, future is drone warfare, everyone is just flying drones and theres gonna be flyers and catchers with extended lacrosse bats trying to catch drones
>>64744383>Tanegashima use cheek for contact and not shoulder because of that exact issue.wrong on several counts. for 1, helmets were not the issue that necessitated a cheek weld nor is a cuirass, its largely the massive pauldrons (which modern armor does not have) that get in the way of a traditional stock. More relevant though is 2, Japanese muskets simply had not progressed at all from the original Portuguese designs they were copying, as such they were stuck with an obsolete design. At the time that was the only way the japs knew to sight a rifle, basically by holding it right under your eye. and for 3, "cheek" arquebus /muskets were essentially a civilian hunting design by the 17th century, only suitable for lightweight and light recoiling guns. A western musket intended for battlefield combat are much heavier (both in general weight and in caliber). You simply cannot adequately shoot a full power war musket with a cheek weld. it'd be like taking the stock off an M14 and trying to hold it to your cheek. For 4 what the fuck are you talking about magnets for. Modern armor isn't magnetic and I doubt super duper space armor in the future would be either. If you did have excessively bulky armor (say like the OG interceptor body armor) that did actually cover your shoulder pocket, then you can simply add an angled buttstock w/ a rubber pad to your gun.

Genuinely terrible nepo baby that was well aware aware of the limits of the italian army yet pressed forward with retard outdated tactics and almost lost the warHis replacement was everything that he wasn't: charismatic, caring of its soldier, open to suggestions by low ranking soldiers and open to change of tactics, and so in the span of one year he rebuilt an army from scratch and won the war

It was a total indulgence thing, my dream gun purchase and I absolutely will not claim the value is great unless you really really care about the niche features it offers. There are cheaper (though still pricey) bolt bullpups even if you just want something normal and not multi-cal super fast swap. And while it does do <0.5moa as advertised, you can easily match its performance with regular patterns for a fraction of the cost. Still love the thing though.>and i have so many other things im going to have to worry about like i know i only have a year at best with this car.Oof, I hear that. I recently had to replace my 2000s era Nissan Frontier and holy fuck the prices are brutal now even used. And for new there honestly wasn't even anything I was attracted to, like shit everything seemed full of outright anti-feature horseshit like subscriptions or always-on spyware. God damn it.>Maybe if there's a really good sale...The best sales I've ever seen from DT direct are when they've occasionally sold off store demo units, sometimes full guns sometimes barrel assemblies or receivers only but those are still expensive. Store units tend to be barely used and can go 40-50% off. For brand new, once in awhile (black friday this year) they've had 25% off. Used if you get lucky of course but the thing is they're really good and probably anyone who buys one really wants it, and DT isn't constantly fucking with them either. So unlike the MDR there aren't people constantly firesaling them to get rid of 'em. And since they're manuals even someone moving to an unfree shit state will probably be able to hang onto it. But if one did come up for cheap I wouldn't hesitate even if the barrel is fried, that's like 40 second to swap (literally). I bought mine as parts not a unit.
There’s been a noticeable lack of innovation in tactical gear for over a decade now. A Delta operator in 2026 looks nearly indistinguishable from one in 2016. Why are we in this gear plateau? Have we reached the maximum potential for development?
