Are the marines losing their magic? Seems less and less appealing to join the marines compared to every other branch nowadays. Was it ever good?
you only join the marines during a long drawn out conventional war. particularly in vietnam, it was either deal with draftees or join the marines. i dunno how hard it was to join the air force but something tells me, very hard.i recall in afghanistan marines were constantly hitting IEDs on convoys because their retarded SOPs told them to drive as fast as possible to lower your chances of hitting them.

You were looking away for decades while they were waging wars in ex-USSR space since the early 90s (Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, etc), that they were doing hybrid attacks on the Baltics (the "bronze soldier" riots, hacker attacks, etc), waging full-on war with Georgia in 2008, that they were killing people and doing sabotage attacks in Europe during the 2000s, that they were doing nuclear (Litvinenko) and chemical (Skripal) attacks on European soil and so on and so forth. So fuck you.
>>64747476Did you actually read all of the post? I said the problem is the rearmament rhetoric is focused entirely on Russia and that when Russia inevitably ceases to be able to carry out large military actions in the near future and sticks to fucking around in CA it gives an avenue for the dovish politicians to curtail rearmament. What I am saying is that a short-term reason for rearmament isn't good enough to undo 35 years of institutional decay by itself and Germany requires a long-term commitment.

why didn't the vector catch on?
>>64747514Yeah. It was made by Hyman Lebman, a Ukrainian Jew who worked as a gunsmith during Prohibition making extremely expensive tacticool machine guns for the mob. He's basically why we have the NFA today.

>>64745746>Early high-school, not popular per se but look good enough compared to the rest, I know some girls like me, but not a single one in school is my type and they obviously wouldn't do the first step. Some are ass blasted because I'm "ignoring them" (as told to me by a platonic female friend). >One girl from another class gets small stains of blood from her cunt, her parents are shocked since it's not her period, they start figuring out and it's like she had a train run through her there. And they thought that she's a virgin. They demand answers. She points a finger at me that I've raped her at school, in the bathroom during class. >Her mom comes to school and spergs out at me in the hallway, with me being all "wtf, who are these people". She literally tries punching me and such, I try to get away from her, but she's insistent, so I kick her away. She screeches like a fuckin' banshee. Commotion happens and such. School officials get involved.>They state their accusation: I'm a violent subhuman rapist and not only damaged their good girl, but also attacked the mom, etc. >School officials are horrified, but want to try and keep things under the rug (local specifics, please understand kek). Try to push me to confess. I ask them when and where this supposedly happened. They, being retarded and full of themselves, answer and I easily point out that I was never at school during that day and they can easily check that using attendance logs. They try to deflect that I could've just kept silent during attendance, if I've pre-planned that. I counter that I was at home with a cold back then, and not only was my mom all day with me, but also a doctor visited me. They are screaming that I'm lying. >I ask them to call my mom. They do, she gets to school and confirms my story. School officials grumblingly check the attendance logs and yes, I wasn't in any of the classes back then. Then they check that girl and she wasn't in school that day either. LMAO.

Is it normal for a bit of lead to shave off when pressing the bullets in?Also I accidentally seated one bullet about 3mm too deep but these are mostly empty powderpuff 44 loads so that’s not dangerous, right?
>>64747215I resized them with the Lee 44 Sp die The resizing was the least confusing step desuThe part that gets me is I used HP-38 at the target load level and like more than half the case is empty>>64747197Yeah I think I didn’t flare them enoughThis was my first try at reloading ever and the bullets sat in so I thought good enoughI’ll do more next timeAlso thanks Chad
>>64747258With faster burning powders like HP-38 in a pistol case, a very small portion of the case will be filled. A load of Bullseye makes a .44 Magnum case look absolutely cavernous.

Im having similar issues with 45 acp, gallant bullets. Theyre polymer coated, for whatever reason, and with a bit wider and a bit deeper they wont go into battery in my 1911A1.Reloads with FMJ to factory spec are fine, so are factory loads. I suspect its that tiny bit of polymer sticking to the case after pressing/crimping them into place

The fact that a president of a state could be kidnapped by SOF, doesn't it mean that nuclear war could be "won" against a nuclear power? Just send SOF, kidnap their president alongside his "nuclear football". Point a gun in the head of his wife and kids so he gives up the nuclear codes. Then proceed to nuke each airbase of that country and naval bases with nuclear bombers and SSBNs and the major cities of that country. This leaves only the patrolling SSBNs for launching a counter strike. But still, this "simple" specops mission would have transformed a massive, unmanageable nuclear exchange into a limited engagement that modern Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) might actually be able to manage and thus win the nuclear war.t. >>64719453Yeah
>>64719453I kinda doubt there's a SIOP for nuking our own bases. So, having the football, the President, and a general with nuclear authority (somebody has to authenticate that it's actually the NCA reading the codes by reading their own codes) probably isn't enough.

Could plastic garbage from the ocean be used for 3D printers for printing guns like FGC-9?
>>64624726That’s PETG and a mix of HDPE won’t be all that great The plastic used in 3d printers is a byproduct of food waste anyway like the yogurt run off and high fructose corn syrup
>>64624726You can use bacterial readily available to break the plastic down and turn it into nuclear missles.
>>64624726I thought bacteria has already evolved and is slowly eating away at the plastic trash island in the ocean
>>64740970>>64743919Bacteria that break down plastic are pretty rare. No reason they cant evolve, its still a form of hydrocarbon so there is useable energy in it. But they would be extremophiles. Thing is, if they ever evolve and propagate at scale, plastic starts to lose its primary use of being a hard material that doesnt decay (other than from UV). If plastic just decays because badteria eat it, then at that point wood and metal would be more useful.
