like yeah I'm sure some of them aren't like that but it really seems like the majority are spineless cucks...but is Canada really any different at this point? maybe a little better but that submissive mentality is spreading here too. sigh

the voting block in Canada doing the most damage is boomers followed by Queerbeckers. one is on their way out, the other is a serious cancer that should be kicked out of Canada as a nation. Quebec is a tumor.

After Romania and Bulgaria joined NATO, yeah that's prety much it.
They were supposed to be a Kalibr-armed threat along with their VLS cell frigates, and air assets. The various Soviet leftovers, like Moskva, obviously also had cruise missiles. Big, fast ones, too.

Clealry a modern take on the Jeune École coastal defense strategy. Pretty much suicidal against NATO air and sea power in 2025, both in the Black Sea and Baltic.

>in modern war, there's a lot more precision possible
>there's a difference between attacking dual-use industry and terror bombing
Reasonable points. When paired with your response to the other anons, I think it gets to the heart of my thinking on the issue. I am not opposed to the development or usage of precision weapons, nor do I particularly mind touting their development as helping mitigate civilian casualties. But for me, getting the job done fast with the fewest friendly casualties possible takes priority, which means for me, I don't particularly care if, in a hypothetical war over Taiwan, we end up killing hundreds of thousands by giving the Three Gorges Dam the Operation Chastise treatment.

It's just a retarded subversion of classical fantasy tropes.

The shining knights in armor (the Lannisters) are actually assholes and pretty much the closest thing to the bad guys. The werewolves (Starks) are noble but they die like fools because they were too pure for this world (unlike in classical fantasy, being honorable doesn't pay off in ASOIAF). The rightful heir lives in a dark gloomy castle with constant storms and is counseled by a witch. The other arguably rightful heir has dragons for a sigil (symbol of evil, in traditional fantasy).

And of course no-one is actually a good person because we need to pile up more subversion on top so the life of the peasants is even worse than IRL peasants in the Middle Ages and the death toll of wars is dialed up to 11. (In reality wars in the Middle Ages had small armies and thus small death tolls, with exceptions)

So:
Subversion of fantasy tropes (good is bad, bad is good)
+
Ripoff of traditional history (The Anarchy and the War of the Roses)
+
More subversion on top of the subversion (actually nobody was good, the system is shit and honorable people are fools)

Is it entertaining? Sure

What the hell is a Scheel's? is it a Northern thing? I don't think we have any in NC unless I am mistaken. Bass Pro fucking sucks, Dick's stopped carrying guns a while ago, we don't even have any big gun retailers it's all local shops or Cabela's/Academy. But Academy has weird policies like they check ID for buying pistol ammo and keep trigger locks on the guns constantly.

Europeans do load those to higher pressures. You'll occasionally run into a hunter with a custom gun and loads that are not safe for the old world war rifles. 7mm Mauser on the other hand, while it's a great cartridge, it ended up being completely overshadowed by 8mm Mauser. All the poors in the old world used 8mm as much as we Americans used 30-06.
>>
>>64638018
Lol, .243 is better than 6mm. What a moron.
>>
>>64637888
8x57 = 456
.30-06 = -5.7
8mm Mauser is objectively greater.
>>
>>64637888
I prefer 8 to 30, that little bit of taper, the neck geometry, and the case to projectile ratio is just ever so slightly better to make it more pleasing to the eyes

Has PTR gone to the shitter? Does anyone make a decent g3 clone, or am I gonna have to go to a custom builder?
>>
>>64640684

>>

>Has PTR gone to the shitter?
Yes, their quality control has slowly declined over the past decade since the founder JLD left the company.
>Does anyone make a decent g3 clone
Yes >>64614197 but they're only for sale in Europe. Otherwise you're going to have to find a HK41/91, a FMP G3 or a Greek/Springfield Armory SAR-3.

Are PTRs not ~1100 anymore? Or are you referring to HK91. Before the QC went to shit, I think they are hands down the best entry level battle rifle when compared to an M1A or a DSA FAL.

>>
>>64639880
>going to the range even once a month and shooting 150-200 rounds
Why would you do this? You go to a noob range which is just a weapons testing line. They don't let you move or draw from the holster, use sling methods, etc. That's not training. You don't even need to fire any rounds to train, you're telling me you have no formal training to set a slate for what you do at the noob weapons testing line you go to, then you just shit thousands of rounds down the drain? Fucking hobbyists man, what a waste.

The same people recommend you take a "class" with your AR and magdump at paper targets 20 feet away, expending 4000 rounds in the process.
