Wonder why you rarely if ever see people talking about them.
I guess you don't see people talking about other niche metal mouseguns like the baby eagle or the Rohrbaugh/Remington guns

Why was the Longbow in use for literally 300 years when it simply could not penetrate armor? I have watched several experiments with modern reproductions and never once has it achieved penetration of plate armor. In this latest one they can't even pen at point-blank range a late medieval brigandine and cheap Sallet helmet which was worn by poorfag troops. Rich nobles wore high-end bespoke plate made from tempered steel with every surface calculated to deflect blows and it would have zero chance against that. The amount of training that went into using the bow doesn't seem worth the results.

First off, not everyone had fancy fitted plate armor. You had a lot of suits of old chainmail, brigandines, and half plate.

Second, being hit by arrows was disruptive and annoying. The English liked to provoke French charges into killing fields. Crecy, for example.

Third, armor wasn't uniformly thick. Plate armor was thickest on the head and torso but thinner on the limbs. You could still knock a man out of a fight with a hit to his sword arm.

Fourth, by the time brigandines came around you were seeing 100+ pound longbows and crossbows. Some heavy arbalests had thousand pound draws. Those hit a lot harder than the 30-60 pound bows in your vid.
>>
What are these fags trying to prove? That Agincourt or Crecy are fake history?

Clearly the longbow was an effective weapon and the English knew how to get the most out of it.

The Harlequin by Cromwell is worth a read if you want some bow kino

China is also a lot like dealing with the US.
You gotta agree with their side of international politics to keep the sales going and they are also looking at putting kill switches in some of their internationally sold weaponry.

>"The US doesn't do kill switches."
They publicly teased the idea and then after saying they wont also publicly said it's not a guarantee they won't look at the option later. It's something you gotta consider when you start buying US arms. Same with China.

Because soviet garbage has a proven track record of being garbage. Even Brazil uses either indigenous alternatives or western designs. Cuba and Venezuela are outliers due to their geopolitical alignment and Peru has some leftover T-55 from forever ago. The IQ in the region might be about room temperature, but even half of that is enough to know better.

Generally this only applies to ones replicating locked breach pistols in blowback and is more of a durability problem thing due to how light the slide needs to be for it's size.
Something like the .22 Walther really has no reason not to work. They just suck because umarex sucks.
But even locked breach "service pistol" styled blowback .22s can be fine if they're made competently, like the Taurus tx 22 or Ruger sr 22

Merry Christmas to all of you anons, but I didn't participate because, well... Considering this is 4Chan, you can get fedded or sent 60 unpaid pizzas.
idk doesn't seem worth it

Because. Giving sensitive info to random internet strangers that have probable cause to think you're a danger to society (because you use 4Chan) is probably not the best idea.

Am I just a paranoid schizo bros? Have there ever been cases of anons doing something like this to another anon? Considering anons now know the address of the other anon and can fuck them up if their insane.

Polar bears are one of the only animals besides maybe tigers that actively prey on humans under normal circumstances.

I haven't even spent time around them IRL and I absolutely don't get the "fren shaped" vibe from them. More like the quote from Jaws about "dead eyes...like a doll's eyes" or The Thing.

>Soviet design was good, sometimes even very good
It wasn't even soviet design in the case of cars, it speaks volumes that for the most time the best eastern block cars were licensed old fiats, and its not as if the others weren't influenced / heavily inspired by western cars, even porsche scored a gig to sort out problems with the lada samara.
Generally people tend to underestimate what a technological leap the fiat licenses were, you would find fiat parts everywhere, from your common shitbox to a locomotive, compare that to a wartburg for example, which had the radiator behind the engine (in the fucking 80') because it was essentially a pre-war design

The problem is that most EU nations do not have enough munitions for a long term fight against Russia. Russia has so many targets that you will need several thousand cruise missiles to really significantly damage their combat capabilities in a strategic sense and even added together the EU countries only have several hundred with production in the dozens per year. Combined the EU countries can probably still win, but it's going to end up as an ugly attrition fight not too dissimilar to Ukraine after a few months. The main difference of course being that the initial EU strikes in the first couple of months will damage the Russian logistics chain bad enough that they won't be able to send quite as many men into the meat grinder at once as they are currently. The real question is if the populace outside of the Baltics + Poland are actually willing to fight any kind of war or not. I have seen so many posts from gen Z people in Germany outraged that conscription may be brought back. There simply seems to be far less willingness to fight in Western Europe compared to Central Europe and Eastern Europe.
>>
>>64696447
>far less willingness to fight
There's a reason why Donkey Tsar hasnt whipped out full blow mobilization. Half the population would vanish into Hungary and Georgia over night.

>full blow mobilization
I dunno if he will go that far, there's enough cash in the sov wealth fund to toddle on at the garbage rate they have been doing. What I suspect he's doing is playing out the scenario with somewhere like the balts or boland to try and trigger a false flag, border skirmish or 'low-ish' level conflict to try and kick it off.
That way he can get free mobiks
If russia is under 'threat' then he can somewhat justify the act of going full retard sans nukes (because most don't work) and in his mind, the couple of million mobilised will have enough to get Ukraine done and buy them enough time to weasel out of being gang raped by NATO gaping them in all their holes after starting some shit.

Problem is the sheer chaos, he can bet his old arse that maybe NATO won't flip the absolute fuck out and slam dunk everything, there's the wild offside bet that maybe they don't respond very much to the kerfuffle and he can moderate his little green men into just being annoying enough to get mobilisation done and then 'we dindu nuffing' his way out of the border skirmish.
Really fucking fine line though

Tit for tat escalation could go a lot of ways between China and the US but eventually one of those tits or tats does indeed involve stealth aircraft wreaking havoc in a very one sided manner. I seem to see a lot of yellows on here filling the gap as Russia completely drowns in embarrassment, but most of what they spout involves taking out a single CSG in the South China Sea and then… what? The US gets sad and leaves? Sort of retarded logic.

>is it explained how the RDA trip to Pandora works?
Yes, it'S one of the better parts of the setting.

The ships are shown in the first two movies, and make quite a lot of sense. They use a bigass lightsasil and a huge orbitla laser to accelerate away from Sol, to about .7c

Then they fold the laser sail, flip the bigass mirror shield forward as a whipple shield, use spin gravity for the small caretaker crews that take shifts to be unfrozen and coast for most of the way.
They have a bunch of pretty big bubble tanks for anti-hydrogen and hydrogen, which they use for the braking burn, they have magnetically shielded annihilation-powered plasma thrusters.
Then they unload supplies and crew, load returning crew and the ore and whale brain or whatever it was, and use more of their fuel to accelerate back towards Sol.
Braking can be done with the laser sail again.

I do not know if the RDA runs a hydrogen/anti hydrogen gathering/generating operation on the gas giant, but it would make a lot of sense to do it this way.

All in all, this is relatively hard SciFi, if no magic or reality breaking FTL tech. The only thing stopping us from doing this is actually the extreme difficulty of making antimatter.

It's a armored train, of course it looks like the inside of a boat. That image is photoshopped btw, they blacked out the windows in front of him.

It really is a nice train, one car has a very well made fold out stage that can be configured with a desk, podium or even conference room while camera angles don't show that the entire side opens up.

It feels like this particular one is new, maybe some sort of mobile unit that can be removed from the train and placed somewhere else, maybe a command vehicle that is carried on the train and driven off. The rooms on his train are much wider and the finish (especially the trim) in this picture aren't up to the usual standard.

i use the hip belt extensively and take it off my back as little as possible cuz on most lightweight rucks i got a very least 20kg in there due to the fucking brick they call a radio

i was looking at the kantamus 40L to replace the smaller one and jump with without a harness and for heavy rucking the Jaakari XL, i ha a external frame backpack and i liked it a lot
on top of that both seem to sit okay with a plate carrier, and i dont think ill bend either considering their frames arent flat
