Happy new years HG. Had some fun on New Year’s Eve. For shits and giggles I lobbed some .38 special 100 yards down range. Actually got a few decent hits on steel. Probably would have had better luck with .357 though. But I’m not made of money

I picked up a 92FS Centurion today. I got it because I regretted selling my old 92FS and wanted something more traditional, my only other handgun is a Glock 19 with a dot and light. Can you recommend me some slim wooden grips? Even the stock grips are too fat. I saw the thin LOK ones but if I get wood I'll be less tempted to get an optics cut on it.

Get mundane things to fulfill the emptiness in my heart. My goal this month is the gwot prucell prusik. Next month is probably lv4 plates
>>
>>64708658
I'd hurry up on the plates. Only so many Protech 2230s to go around. Sooner or later, people will get wise to pissing hot M2AP if they haven't already.
If tungsten threats are more the concern, I don't know how long Gilliam will keep the $314 a plate deal on the 8002s. You cannot beat that price for tungsten-rated IV++ plates well above XSAPI. They're heavy (8.4lb) and single-curve, but tough as nails. .300 Winmag Swiss P AP is a lot tougher than M993 - the XSAPI threat. Also, they're only $150 more a set than Highcom 4S17Ms, which ironically weigh more but stop less. Silicon Carbide-PE tile array trumps alumina-fiberglass monolithic here.
That's partially why I'm not a fan of the 4S17M and prefer the Hesco 4403 if you don't need super heavy duty protection, but I digress. 4S17M is too heavy for mere M2AP, even if it has more headroom than rhe 4403.

That line of reasoning is obviously incorrect, given that we have proof of exactly that, namely a skeletonized all-metal war hatchet, rather than a hafted one (which would theoretically use less metal).
>>
>>64705208
we have both, since one evolved from the other and subsequently fell into obscurity again. as to why it appeared it could be many things from durability to a status symbol to whatever else but it's utterly retarded to assume it's because casting the thing out of bronze was easier than to find a wooden shaft.

Guns are basically child's play compared to watches and audio shit. Bottom of the barrel dress watch that won't get you called poor is KAC levels of delusional pricing. I am talking $10k starting, and that's one watch, and keep in mind there are dudes out there who just spend every dime they have on watches like they are bad gamblers. To some extent there is a ceiling WRT to guns unless you chase the dragon on something wild, and even then there will be a hundred different watches made every year by a dozen different companies that are anywhere from 500k-5 million dollars before that bugman in Texas covers it in another 2 million dollars of diamonds.
>>
>>64704407
Won't deny that the gun scene has more than it's fair share of reactionary, fear-mongering, gullible retards that shit everything up for everyone else. That said, dress fashion, cars, watches, and others are categorically worse. You just haven't been exposed to them, and that is absolutely a good thing.

Above O6 you are no longer a real service member, you are political officer (General Officer). You no longer have service requirements like qualifications or PT tests. They no longer do anything for themselves. When General Officers retire, they have to attend a mandatory course where they are retaught basic life skills like driving your own vehicle, making coffee and shopping at the commissary. Again, the military has these courses because there have been issues. General Officers no longer know how to take care of themselves after being waited on hand and foot for years and years. And not all of them are rich fucks or get millions converting their connections into consulting or lobbying. So they get booted out suddenly for retirement after being part of the Illuminati class and have forgotten how to buy toilet paper and do laundry. So no, they are useless old fossils that don't know how to do anything other than say yes or no to their staff based on gut instincts.

Now that the Chink chimpout over the $11B Taiwan weapons deal and most recent numbers print from their imploding economy has wrapped up, I want to tally some numbers for the 'explicitly presented as the largest-ever military exercise around Taiwan'.
This exercise was also explicitly stated as a blockade exercise vs the strike exercises of 2024.
Taiwanese sources have reported that
>6:00 a.m. Dec 29 - 6:00 a.m. Dec 30, 130 PLA aircraft detected. 14 PLAN warships + 14 CCG vessels.
>6:00 a.m. Dec 30 – 6:00 a.m. Dec 31 Aircraft: 77 PLA aircraft detected. 17 PLAN warships + 8 CCG vessels.
What's so damming to me is that the area of operations for the exercises were 2x larger than that of the 2024, and 3x that of the 2022 Pelosi chimpout. Yet there were less aircraft than in 2024, 130 in a single day vs 150 in a single day. The sorties also started slow, taking till the mid afternoon to get to peak detection rates as per Taiwan MOD. So this is where I really get to the main bit. A blockade requires substantially more sorties, I'm talking 48 sorties just to get 8 planes on CAP for 24h. Yet the PLA did only 130 in a day, barely enough for a dozen planes to be on 24h CAP. There's just no excuse. You NEED to have CAP or else US and Jap planes can just sneak in and rape you. The second day is so pathetically bad with 77 aircraft so I don't even wanna talk about it, just assume it's 2x worse.

So you've got what is
>supposed to be the biggest exercise ever
>covering an area 2x bigger than previous ones
>supposedly have 1600 aircraft stationed east of Beijing
>yet can only muster up 130 sorties 6 hours later
Implessive. My theory is that the PLA airforce not only has a low readiness, but the logistics are so fucked that they actually can't turn around airplanes fast enough with things as basic as fuel.

I once met a Congolese warlord, when I was a naive young man. I had signed up for an aid program and ended up spending three weeks on a malaria ridden ferry.

The brown stinking waters of the Congo and the persistent heat drove even the locals mad. I'd like to say it was something like the heart of darkness or a bit like that time Anthony Bourdain explored the Congo. It wasn't anything like either. It was just a long, sad expanse. Natives squatted on the sides of the river and stared as you passed by. Occasionally in the distance you'd see curling smoke past the tops of the jungle and wonder why. Other times you could taste in the chemical runoff from cobalt mines deep in your nostrils.

Eventually we ended up about fifty miles west of gonna, and eventually the local Tutsi warlord learned that white men were giving out medicine. Our conversation with him was passed in equal parts Swahili, Pidgin French and even Classical Arabic thanks to a local Imam. His grandfather was a Simba rebel, his father a Maoist, and he knew no creed besides the almighty dollar. He was charismatic, and had a deep laugh. But there was something lacking in his eyes. When he left, he carried off a daughter from the village who was never seen again.

I'm reminded of this, because even that deep into the Congo, he was whiter than >>64708799

>NOOOOO ALL THOSE VIDEOS OF IRANIAN COFFINS ARE FAKEFAKEFAKE
Again, like i said, dissapointing, you guys suck.

It's almost time for $0 tax stamps. You can finally, legally, have fun. Buy a $400 P1S from Bambu, some Pa6-cf filament from polymaker, and get to work.

Some 3dp2a guys released the FTN 5.0 suppressors recently. There are suppressors for pistols, pcc's, and rifles. Let's talk about the last one.

To start out you will need ONE of these muzzle devices:
>Breek threaded muzzle+ Castle Shield <-Best one
>KAK slimline micro flash can
>1/2x28 to 3/4x16 thread adapter

Now you can print an insert that will attach the suppressor body to the muzzle device. The breek insert is a clamshell design. Put the two halves onto the castle shield and screw on the suppressor assembly. The other two will need some epoxy.

IF you want the suppressor to be permanent, epoxy the threads of the insert and suppressor body. It'll help with the longevity and make a better gas seal.

The main body will NEED to be supported by a sleeve. You can print the sleeve, but the lifespan is shorter with a lot of restrictions. You can use a 56mm ID and 60mm OD aluminum OR carbon fiber tube with jb weld. You can also use fiberglass and resin wrapped around the tube, but this is less effective.

Yeah. No, dimwit. You put the radar threat in the post. If it happens to be a radar seeker, then yes. Otherwise, not so much.

>>64706163
To answer your real question: dispensed chaff slightly increases detection times, which is real good if you're the US right now. It's real bad if you're not because it won't only be radar, it'll be the analysed composite signals of multiple insturments by man and machine. Only if it's bare chaff against bare radar of any kind from a single non-networked source (brown people places), can it do it's job.

>>64708260
you could probably sterilize a continent-sized area with a relatively small number of enhanced radiation devices in the megaton range with ground bursts ("cobalt bombs"), along with hitting bunkers. it'd need to be timed with the prevailing winds so that the entire area is covered in the fallout.
>>
>>64708069
the ussr actually planned to use a small number of high yield unitary warheads to knock out civilian and military electronics (country-wide), and they'd be followed by lower yield unitary rvs and mirvs for destruction of targets. russia probably has a similar attack plan.

Considering Indian Hindu rape rats breed like cockroaches and shit out 100,000 inbred little Hindu rattons every day? I would go with 100 just to be safe. But the real issue is what do we do with the other 50 million of them who have already left their containment zone and now infest white countries?

Its leaving the barrel with as much energy as a .308, but at 500yards it has about as much as 30-06 has at that distance. Which is ofc nice, certainly puts sneedmore to shame.
but the problem with sub-30cal bolt actions, is that somehow, and i dont know why, the end result is always a penis, embedded deep inside of another mans shit hole.
its a real mystery.

Realistically if Russia's goal is to return to power in the Black Sea then its primary focus should be on naval aviation, ground based anti-air and anti-ship missiles, ground based air defense, and missile boats. Anything else would be a vanity project.

My great grandfather was a decorated officer in the US Airforce during the Korean War. My great uncle has a display case with his medals, and his service rifle, which is a select fire M2 Carbine. I haven't inspected it closely, so idk if it's functional or demilitarized. If it is functional idk if it registered or transferable.

Has anyone heard of a scenario like this before? I can't find any examples online of an officer being given an M2 when they retired. I'm also certain that it is an M2, not an M1 Carbine.

My great uncle plans to give me his guns, including that one at some point in the near future. Obviously I hope it's transferable, but I think that could only be the case if it was registered when he retired. I doubt that he submitted any paperwork for it later in his life, and I know that my great uncle never did.

Any thoughts or advice?

I think that's a myth that has been pushed by people stealing arms. I knew of quite a few AKMs smuggled back from nam and a decent amount of m16s that were stolen out of NG armories. You're a fucking idiot if you register a gun that was manufactured prior to the illegal gun registry our government runs. Keep your mouth shut and don't tell everyone about what you have and don't have.

Yet another gun I've seen the M3's style of night vision setup on (with the big infrared spotlight and all).
That makes:
>M3 Carbine
>M1 Garand
>Stg-44
>Stgw-57
>Vz.58
>AR10
>AR18
>AKM
>BAR 1918A2 (it's for a movie, but I'm still counting it, you see it working and all)
And now a Mosin Nagant, presumably the Finnish M39-43.
